Great review... I made garlic bread the other day in the van and burned it on the bottom. So I ended up making a "riser" out of metal bits to raise it from the pan bottom. It cooked beautifully then and worked more like an oven rather than a pan with a lid. I'm now on the hunt for a grill that's small enough to fit inside so that it raises things off the pan bottom. I'll let you know when I find one as that'll be a reet game changer
@@vanlifegoodies yeah I've been looking on Amazon to see if there is a small one that will fit. I'll send a link on your FB page if i find one that does
We plumped for the ridgemonkey before I saw your video. It’s does the job well. We use it for plain toast in the van as well as cooking meat. I even cooked a slice of apple pie in it the other day!! It’s small enough to tuck in the net we have attached to the kitchen in our van. Keep up the good work. It’s fab to see folk of a similar time of life to us doing this!
Ah,i just bought one,was looking at ridgemonkey xl,but 35 quid...see Brendan Explores got a SQ,so had a look on net,and got one for 20 quid, bargain.i have used it in my Trafic campervan and think is great, would be easier if you coud remove the handles, but managed to store it ok.good for doing oven chips..
Great video. I’ve just bought one for home use after falling in love with the Ridge Monkey for the van. Do you know you can separate the two SQ pans? There is a little circular disc which pops out of one of the hinges. Having two separate pans make them easier to clean and more versatile I think. Thanks to another RUclipsr, Welsh Carpers, for showing this.
We have cupboards in our campervan above the hob so like the Ridgemonkey XL as can take the lid off as there isn’t room to leave upright. Could do with the pan being a bit bigger though…..
I watched your first review when you got the original so i ordered one straight away. it is brilliant, but once my friends had seen it and asked how much and were from, i think i paid about £25 for mine but when i looked again the price had more than doubled. Thanks for another great video :0)
Yes I remember them going to £75 !! I’ve Since learned that if a listing on Amazon is running low in stock they raise the price so they don’t loose their place on the list ( as In at the top ) - until they restock
Great honest indepth review. No doubt its a fantastic product👍Ooh will you be doing a video about Dave's camper car? Ive been watching a few of these lately & they're amazing. I also saw on ebay a few inflatable products for car camping like a blow up things that goes into & fills the rear footwell so you can put a bigger inflatable mattress in the back. The way things are going, i can sadly see more & more people living in their cars. I hope you have a fab Sunday🙏Best wishes Annie💐
Yes I agree , tge cost of renting is ridiculous . Have a look on Temu as you may find the exact same product much cheaper - Yes will be doing a video on Daves car - watch this space 👍

Thanks! Sounds like a great pan. Sad they don't seem to have a small version. I will check if I can get one here in Turkey.

Not used those, but our Remoska is so good that we even use it at home.

we have one but do find it cumbersome in the van. the Ridgemonkey xl is a good alternative if there is two of you
Yes I think this is the biggest issue .
Thanks for sharing your viewpoint 👍
