Hey everyone, thanks so much for your comments and for watching...Just to clear things up... There have been a couple of comments on this video thinking its sponsored... Its definitely not. Its just me talking about the stuff ive bought with my own pennies and im giving my genuine thoughts on the products i have purchased.
I think its the best way to give a genuine honest review on something that may help others.

Tip, when using the bbq griddle put some water in the bottom of the black pan part and then anything that drips through can just be pored away 👍

Great review Colin makes me want a cadac even more definitely added it to my list I have been looking for a burner big enough to fit my mahousive ridgemonkey xxl griddle.
We’ve got the same one (I think) and the sparky thing stopped working so just carry a £ shop long arm lighter to light it. Also got a quick release for the gas and am using the Cadac 500g gas canisters which to be fair do seem to last a good while.
Wow I didn’t know about the 2 sections in the lid! Learn something new everyday. Nice.
Same feedback ref the griddle with the gaps in - makes it a pain to clean doesn’t it.
It does feel like camping on the Cadac
Looks a nice pan, like the seal to save all the mess on turning over.

Nice work Colin. Our piezo was the same too,i unscrewed the burner part as you expertly described and then pushed/bent the piezo wire nearer to the gas. Being gentle so not to crack the white ceramic insulation. Worked fine since. Maybe a fluke but worth a shot. 👍
We bought the pizza stone as well. This works great but be sure to follow the guide lines on its use as I burnt the base first time out. You need to add a dusting of flour prior to placing on the pizza. We also purchased the quick release twin gas cartridge unit as it is compact.

Hi, totally agree about the spark ignition, 1st time fine, From then on use a lighter. But apart from that good bit of kit. PS wife said take it back as not working properly,but quite clearly it's a design issue.
I have had a £29.99 SQ Professional for two years in the van. It has been great and still hasn't lost it's Teflon coating. You can cook two breakfasts in it across 2 burners and not splatter the contents all over. Much better than a ridge monkey and cheaper as well.
Not in this video but our new ridge monkey just arrived. Another purchase by my good lady after watching one of your videos. That’s been a few things now, your costing me a small fortune.
Great video Colin. We've been using the NGT version of this pan for a while now and we've just ordered this one, to compare them. Sorry for the ridge monkey fans, but these are far better. Our Ridge monkey pans won't be getting used again, always had issues with the coating coming off and the clips breaking off on the handles, twice. As for the CADAC's, you said it all, top notch equipment. We have the one you've just reviewed and the Cook 2 pro deluxe, both excellent pieces of kit.
Hi Colin, little tip if you want to use the griddle plate on your Cadac you can fill the bottom with some water so any juice and stuff falls through the gaps sits in the water, when finished tip the water out and wipe clean.
I agree, this is exactly what your supposed to do, a little water bath collects everything.

I have seen the SQ pan in use for a few years now by the lady on the Vanlife Goodies channel and been very tempted. She has cooked loads of stuff in it for the family and raves about it. I have a Ridgemonkey XXL so it's probably a bit too similar to justify it. However for just over £30 you really can't go wrong.

Well bugger me! We've had the Safari Chef 2 for a couple of years and NEVER noticed the pockets in the top of the bag! Even had to go and check! 🤯 😂

With the SQ, the circlip on the hinge can be easily removed. And you can use the two separate halves, as I have done quite often. Only if you have two burners anyway 👍🏻😊

Great reviews Colin - very tempted, shame that the pan doesn’t have removable handles. We have one of those gas bottles, but I don’t know what I need to use it with the Cadac (should I succumb) - can you tell me what connection I would need to get? Thanks. 💕🐾💕🐾
I'd love to let you know, but it's just the connection I had from my original gas/sink/ring combo I already had in the van from when I removed it :( I have no idea what the connection is called and wouldn't want to give you incorrect info. Maybe another subscriber could help?

Presume my post disappeared because I sent a link, but could you use the Cadac trio power pack, that way the canister would be the same as the low profile stove

Yeah we love the cadac, one of our better purchases for the van.
I've kicked the the sleep mat out and purchased a different sleep mat so I'll be doing a video on that soon but the pillow is still a "not sure" ive used it a few times now but always taken up some cushions and ended up using those instead. It's not uncomfortable but I'm not sure I could do more than a couple of nights with it...
Are you sure you can use the screw in canisters into the bottom? I thought there were 2 models high pressure and low pressure
I've been using the screw on ones buddy, not blown up yet 🤣🤣!

Buddy, do you think that pan would be too big for a normal double hob in a van?
I have had one for two years and it goes across two burners beautifully on a dometic hob and cooks two breakfasts at once, reducing splatter to a minimum and the Teflon has lasted.
Yes mate, I have seen it in action on the double rings (with both on for maximum coverage too)

Got loads of negatives for tipping the fat out on the grass . The dogs just licked it up but some people thought I was out of order - can’t please them all !
The pan lid thingy is not non stick. Do yourself a favour and get the paella pan. We cook nearly everything on it and it's non stick. Yep pur piezo igniter has oacked up and we use a lighter
