I just experimented with the butter in the garlic press hack. Of course, it works perfectly. But, get this, I DID NOT rinse out the press afterward. Instead, I pressed a few cloves of garlic. It turns out the buttered walls released the garlic and I wound up pressing the entire clove, instead of leaving parts of it stuck to the walls of the press. Try it. It works! PEACE

Here's a hack I found for keeping the bottom (outsides) of my pans spotless and it's worked for me for decades: Clean the stove after cooking so it's clean before the next meal. Clean the bottom of your pans easily after cooking. Between these two, your pans never get dirty on the outside. I only cook on the inside of my pans so they never look like the one in the first hack.

When needing pàrchment paper for round cake pans, i simply fold the parchment into four, place the cake tin on the top and with a pencil draw around it, then cut around the pencil line, this gives you four circles , which leaves spares, for next time you need to bake.

You can save your coffee for drinking.
Simply put a small layer of water in the bottom of the pan.
Set the pan on the stove burner & turn on a low flame.
Put the lit or aluminum foil to cover the pan. Let water simmer a few minutes.
Use a plastic coated spatula to loosen any burnt spots on the inside bottom of the pan.

I love the hack with the plastic wrap because I hate using the stuff. My favorite way to deal with parchment paper is to wade a piece into a ball then straighten it out. It goes right where I want it to go. Thanks for the video from New Mexico, USA.

I had heard about using a ceramic cup/bowl to sharpen blades, but I had not heard about heating the ceramic first with hot water. I wonder what that does to improve the sharpening surface. Wonderful video, demos, and tips. And a big thanks for splitting them out in the information description. Referencing the hack using toilet paper instead of a napkin: TP is too weak and it will cling to your hands. I LOVED the hack to open a coconut!! All I need now is one of those wine bottle openers ;-)

I HAD COMMENTED SAME ABOUT THE TOILET PAPER HACK IN ANOTHER VIDEO. BUT I ADDED THAT INSTEAD OF NAPKINS IT'S PERFECT FOR TISSUES. I'VE BEEN USING IT THAT WAY FOR YRS AND PUT IT INSIDE A DECORATIVE TISSUE WOODEN BOX OR ANY OTHER MATERIAL- THE ONES YOU CAN COVER YOUR CARDBOARD TISSUE BOXES WITH.
      TP IS CHEAPER THAN TISSUES😊

To clean a dirty, greasy pan, add a couple drops of Dawn and about an inch of hot water to the pan and bring it to a boil and let it boil for about 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and scrape the bottom with a spatula. Let the water cool down, dump it down the sink and scrub it out with your sponge or brush. So much easier!

The water alone works as well. You can add a little water, bring it to a boil, turn off the heat and put on a lid. Let it sit till the meal is done, and the pan will clean up easily.

To hold your cutting board in place use slip resistant shelf liner , wash and use again or you can simply glue the liner to the bottom of the cutting board and wash as needed 😊❤

Use Japanese bevelled knives (right-handed, left-handed) that allow potatoe slices (fish sashimi slices) etc to easily fall away from the blade. Or use the scalloped blade edged knives that doesn't hold potato slices (et al) to the blade surface.

Yeah, kinda like the same with a regular blender though, instead of messing with trying to clean it, just fill some water in it and a couple drops of dishwashing soap and turn it on 🙂
