I love your videos guys!!! I'm just a blue belt but many of your advises and explanation helped me to improve myself in combat. Still I have MUCH MUCH to learn!!!!
Part 3 should be about how to properly block kicks. I get into this argument all the time in forums that the down block is useless because a kick is stronger than your arm. But in my experience: 1) With a front kick, you're not blocking in the direction of power, so it's very easy to knock it off kilter. 2) With a roundhouse kick, you don't block the foot, you block the thigh, and so you're not catching the kick at it's most powerful spot.
I personally wouldn’t low block a kick. If someone punches me low, like in the hips or something than I will low block. But for a kick I would do a Muay Thai leg check.
Your mind is like water, when it’s disturbed and agitated things get blurry and difficult to see, but when it’s calm and settled everything becomes clear, transparent, better reflection and easier to see
YOU KNOW I AM WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS SINCE I WAS 14 YRS OLD AND NOW I AM 17 YRS.....YOU ARE MY FIRST AND LAST MARTIAL ARTS INSPIRATION AND AS WELL AS TEACHER.........I LIKE YOU
These are great videos. Take what is seen as complex movements and really breaks them down to their simple real world use. Small efficient movements to receive the attack and count effectively.
Great explanation on how to use the blocks effectively. So used to being shown how to parry that it is really beneficial to see how so many blocks can be used in different situations. Thank you! Hope you do not mind me using Part 1 on my FB page.
This video made me upload my own self defense videos from back in around 2013. Your "discovery" reminds me of my own first steps an reasearch in the selfdefense section. Maybe all of you get some new ideas because of it :)
Two Taekwondo practitioners(Samery and Donavan) went to an open karate tournament, it was interesting, if it possible would you go see a karate competition and compare similarities and differences from karate tournament and Taekwondo(WTF, ITF, or ATA)competition
I recently saw a video from Donavan Barrett I think it pretty good on why some black belts sometimes loose motivation, have you experienced a student reaching black belt and start to loose motivation, why do you think that happens, how would you help that person, what do they have to look forward to after they get their black belt
Good way to block and counterattack with a fist, in a simple and forceful way, I would like to know what you think of the wing chun and how efficient it is, greetings to the two teachers and for the entire RUclips video audience
Love your channel. Love what you're doing. Can I suggest, as a professional photographer, that you consider making an investment in some decent cinematic LED lights to light your videos? I think it will make your videos look 10 times better. Please keep doing what you do. I really appreciate your videos and your amazing content.

Der Großmeister unterrichtet GNT!? Great! 2 very Sympathic Guys! 😊 Welche Ehre das sehen zu dürfen! Vorsicht, Muskel Männer! Manche Kicks können töten?! Great, great, great!
Hi #gnt sir! I want to ask you how can I increase power and strength in my legs because whenever I do a kick or flip, I can't make a higher jump like in backflip, I can't jump higher to do the flip completely and because of this I landed wrong and got pain in my knee and had to rest for a week. Any suggestions? ❤
Strange thing is in my class one guy he is now red belt and he's the fastest out of ALL of us even faster than our instructor who has 23 years experience in ITF. But when I spar against him I can't hit him AT ALL BUT....I can block ALL his attacks. Isn't that strange?
Not really. Sounds like you are both telegraphing or he has really good movement when defending but inefficient movement or lack of combinations when attacking so you have time to defend.

Another thing is do not block spinning kicks.
@@brawlaction8798 I don't block the foot or the shin, I aim for the thigh.
Daniel Skrivan the way I see it the low block is not for kicks but it’s met for low punches like to the hips or groin
Aaron you really should do a collab with Jesse Enkamp, the Karate Nerd about Bunkai and traditional martial arts form application

Don’t let fear or difficulties stop you or make you quit, try it, conquer it and you’ll see it’s not as scary or difficult as it seems
love the content
John Fredward Thank you 🙏
What he does at about 3.44 is similar to the long guard in muay thai and boxing.
haffoc 😁
What about a demonstration showing traditional blocks while sparring against a boxer or Muay Thai exponent.
Why not save those for the mauy thai channels, eh?
You see them in fights all the time but modified like we are explaining 👍🏻😁

@@GingerNinjaTrickster oh. I see now. Thanks for the advice.
If you spend too much time thinking about a thing you’ll never get it done, don’t over think it, stop thinking and start doing
GingerNinjaTrickster can you do a video of tekken fight in real life please
0:43 what's stopping you from using an outward block at that point to block the second punch?
Daniel Skrivan he’s over committed to the inward so it would be too slow when I throw left right as a combination 👍🏻
@@GingerNinjaTrickster I guess it's hard to tell when we're doing stop-motion drills.
