I take magnesium every night for my restless legs( numerous surgeries so nerves are always “misfiring “) I also have my kids take magnesium before any of their games( girls play field hockey and son played lacrosse). It helped them greatly ,especially when they played in hot weather, from cramping and kept their muscles loose.
I have stopped metformin all together and suddenly my IBS is no longer an issue, no sweating or mood swings, no more racing heart…. I switched to Berberine and it is amazing!!! I am going to add chromium to my repertoire as well. I took it years ago but I think the metformin kept it from working effectively.
Thank you for all of your information you share with us

So let’s presume we’re having some side effects. Q1. What is a good maintainence dosagefor both Mag and CP ? Q2: Can you overload to start ? Q3 Is it better to take the dosage multiple times per day to maintain proper levels or is one pill per day sufficient? TIA. By the way absolutely love your channel and videos. Six weeks ago my sugar was 280- 300. I am on VERY strict diet using your guidelines, last 3 days 160,139 112. I am ecstatic. Thanks to you.

Mag should be taken daily in increasing amounts until you get a bit of diarrea. At that point, back the dose down a little everyday till your bowels are back to normal. THAT is how you know your body is getting the correct amount as everyone is a bit different. Take as much as you can without having diarrhea is your goal. Overdosing Magnesium is harmless in the long run (pun intended) but Chromium is more of a problem.
Regarding Chromium, I can give you no help but will warn that it is a heavy metal and too much could poison your body. Research it and stay with the recommended amount.

I won't disagree but it is good to at least have more magnesium available for the body than the RDA guidelines. Magnesium is a key to a healthier life. It is sad it is not encouraged more.

Then I took 200 mg chromium picolinate and 1 table spoon of mct oil and ate 2 Loves fat bars, a pint of blueberries, and pound of chicken wings and two tablespoons of sunflower butter and an hour later my blood sugar was 88! I have not had a blood sugar that low in a few years and have been under 100 only a few times in the last year or so let alone an hour after eating! I also take berberine.

Thank you doc for your wonderful videos. I’ve learned so much in as I wanted to share with you. My primary doctor monitors my blood every 3 to 4 months is really good and recently my blood sugar levels have spiked up. I’ve been pre-diabetic for many years but this time after taking a beta blocker blood pressure medicine skyrocket my blood sugars but I’m off that medicine but I want to share with you so he recommended the chromium and also fasting and I’ve been doing it for about a week and a half if I take 400 mg of the chromium two times a day and my blood sugars went from 192 and her back down the 150s I know I’m still working hard but I just wanted to share with you that within one week of taking it I’ve come down 40 points so I’m so glad that you’re doing videos because the stuff really does work coupled with fasting. Thank you very much. I love the fact because you’re doing videos on chromium. Also, I’m keeping my own ion my magnesium, my wife and I just started a magnesium complex 500 mg 100 mg each.

For type 2 diabetes, there was a study involving around 400 thousand people. what they found was that people with highest omega 6 levels had the lowest diabetes rates and vice versa.
There is an idea that the root cause is the deficiency of omega's causes the cell membrane to use saturated fats instead to regenerate the membranes.
Omega 6 can convert into almost any type of omega 1-9 in the body. The treatment may be low saturated diet and increased omega 6 for 3 months. Maybe things like walnuts, cla, omega 6 could help.
    p.s.
    i use taurine for anxiety.

Before factory farming, nobody had type 2 diabetes because it didn't exist. Factory farmed meat is high in Omega 6 and low in Omega 3. Omega 6 and Omega 3 is supposed to be evenly balanced at 50/50 in the human body. Most Americans have 5 times more Omega 6 than Omega 3. That's from grain fed meat. Thus, it's debatable that this is the cause of this obvious dietary ailment because type 2 diabetes did not appear until the 1970s. It appeared along with MS, Alzheimer's, asthma, obesity, autism, dry eye, acid reflux, heart disease, etc. Ailments that were previously unknown. Look no further than the low fat diet that appeared in that time frame that was dictated by the Jimmy Carter administration along with the government's mandate that animal fat be replaced with vegetable oils. Vegetable oil is unnatural for the diet because it is seed oil squeezed by machinery. Nature did not intend any living creature to consume large quantities of vegetable oil which is why it isn't found in large pools in the woods. That's why no insect or animal will touch it. Mold never touches it. Because they all know it's poison. If mold and insects won't touch any food, avoid it. Learn from nature.

People may get more omega 6 than omega 3 but that doesn't mean their getting sufficient omega 6 levels into their bodies. They talk about "high levels"
The mainstream is just looking at the ratio. Not the levels.
Plus they are doing nothing to minimize saturated fats in combination.
I understand that omega 6 has been demonized.
You should scan the studies that involve omega's to address diabetes. Every study I came across points to a strong correlation.
There is abnormality in the cells creating insulin resistance. There is not a lot to a cell other than membrane and mitochondria. What regenerates the cell membranes - the omega's
the study was done in Asia pacific region by mostly American researchers but not sure which countries - could be Thailand, Philippines somewhere around that area

I have found that taking magnesium at night often helps me sleep better. Been taking 400 a night, so far, no side affects. I used to take CP many years ago, I actually forgot about it. But today, just turned 63, I suppose that would be a great addition to my supplements. I didn't know what the CP was used for when I did take it, but I didn't need to know that for it to work. But now that I do know, it is more imperative that I start taking it again.

I have diabetes and osteoporosis, but I also have ulcerative colitis. How much magnesium can I take safely on a daily or weekly basis, so as not to aggravate my UC? I have tried taking magnesium orally in the past, but it has always ended up flaring up my UC. I think magnesium can really come in handy for me, as I get severe constipation because of Ozempic. I am really in an awkward situation.

Behram Cooper Bad question. There is magnesium and there is magnesium. It depends on the magnesium source. Was it a magnesium citrate?
Or was it magnesium glycinate? This latter form doesn't loosen my bowels but then again I healthy. You are your own experiment. Keep a written journal on your personal interventions.
