  • Catalyst Quartet performs “String Quartet in B-Flat major, Op.76 No.4, ‘Sunrise’" by Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809). This piece was performed on a string quartet (45.71.1-4) that August Martin Gemünder made for the World’s Columbia Exposition, 1893, Gift of A. Gemunder & Sons, 1945.

    This piece was recorded at "Catalyst Quartet Plays Met Instruments" on Saturday, December 9, 2023 in The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium.
    The Quartet in Residence programming was made possible by the Grace Jarcho Ross and Daniel G. Ross Concert Fund.
    This performance was presented by Met Live Arts in collaboration with The Met’s Department of Musical Instruments.
