I could tell Hailey's dad loves basketball himself for him to come home from work in construction and take her straight to practice skipping dinner, that's love and dedications right there from both Hailey and her dad

@@pteddie6965 Actually the ladies college game has regressed A LOT. Go back and watch the NCAA final four games from the late 90s and early 00s.
Those players would kill today's players which is why the US women's national team, unlike the US men's national team, is still made up of women from that era.
I wonder how many teams will try to suck to try to get one of the players next year.
Kobe was at the right spot at the right time. He saw that women's basketball was about to evolve and wanted to learn how to inspire young girls.
She is very skilled and has worked hard to develop as a player. Obviously her dad means a lot to her and for him to accept the mentoring of her by Kobe and later step back and allow her continued growth under others in HS and college says a lot about his love for his daughter. He only wants the best for her. Good story, excellent player.
That's what you need to do as a parent. Though it's hard, you got to know when it's best for them to step back a bit
