Love seeing other people enjoying Portsmouth!! Been goin there for 9+ years and my dads been going since the 90’s we enjoy every minute of it. From the fishing, meeting new people, and the great food it’s always a good time.
Did you guys actually use/ need 4wd there? I have a camper van with good ground clearance and bigger all terrain tires. Would be driving carefully. What's your opinion?
The GX has full time 4wd, and we tried the excursion in 2wd - it did fine until there was any slightly steeper elevation change. I would say if you are real careful you should be ok but 100% wouldn't if you don't have someone to help pull you out if you get stuck . 2wd works until you need to turn around/lose momentum on a weird spot in the sand.

This was great man, thanks for sharing!
Hell yeah, such a sick little spot.
I love my time at OBX. The fam and I stay north from there each year at Pea Island. Great times!
