I haven't been that far south yet, I had an older super duty that I didn't really trust to go that remote, but I've got a rubicon now, and extraction equipment also, I just need to do it
I'm from MN and the OBX is usually top on my list of places to go to. My preference is to explore Corolla and Carova beaches on the north end. It's fun to go looking for the wild horses.
Awesome! Just got a 2013 Tacoma, I live over in Raleigh. Going to try and go to Hatteras seashore next month since it's more connected/could be a day trip, but this definitely is on my list now
That looks like a beautiful trip man! I’m doing a trail trip starting in Savannah, GA, up along the southern South Carolina coast and islands the end of this month! Can’t wait!
This is bucket list trip for me. I live on the northern portion of the obx and do a lot of beach “camping” in Buxton and Avon especially during the fall season when the fishing tournaments are going on. We stay set up in one spot 2-3 days at a time. However, someone has to be awake at all times to make that “camping” legal. No rtt’s though. I have everything contained in my softtopper for more discrete camping.
AWESOME Video, great info. I’m building up my Tacoma for Cape Lookout. Gonna get a few trips in to some other spots along the Outer Banks to get everything dialed in before going to the Cape.
How much hassle was it to acquire permission to fly a drone? I’ve learned to use an aerodynamic two person ground tent out there. The wind is good, if it stops blowing the mosquitoes will attack.
I hate that they ever started allowing vehicles on the outer banks. Ever since they did that (it's a money thing), there is virtually no shelling to be had at Cape Lookout anymore, and the amount of trash on the beaches has skyrocketed.
Headed three in October, Which inlet was better, North or South? better in the aspect of wading, fishing in the water. Thanks so much for the information!
I wouldn't recommend it in the slightest unfortunately. Slow down or make a turn, and you're almost guaranteed to get stuck. This beach isn't hard packed sand like Daytona or anything like that. It's very soft sand that'll wrap around those tires and suck you in if you try to get going from a stop. Hope this helps!

Now I’ve got to sell my van… 😂you guys have got it down!🤟
Going back for our second trip this June. Can't wait.

Thanks for the tip on ORV permits. Saving $25 makes a difference. I'll return mid April. Always a great time!

If nothing else your comment on airing down and the reasons you stated you got my respect
The more people understand this, the more likely we are to keep trails open later down the road!
Great video y'all! Thank you for treading lightly! Happy anniversary too.
I’ve been out there twice and love it!

Stayed here last year and it was an amazing experience. This video helped a ton!
Well done, I enjoyed this.

Nice video. Only thing is that it seems like a lot of driving for just one night. But yeah, great vid.
Wondered what kind of trouble could be had out on that coast. Looks like there is a good time to be had!
Awesome video
Great video 👍🏻

Don’t forget those dang horseflies😂!

Fun video! Thanks for sharing the info. Did you need a permit to camp on the beach or just the ORV permit?
Just to drive! Camping is pretty much included with it as far as I’ve been told.
Fun Fact: Drone use is prohibited on the Cape Lookout National Seashore. www.recreation.gov/vehiclepermits/3332402

Definitely South end in my opinion. And of course! I hope it helps!
Only one real truck: Ford! The rest are toys.
Don’t be that guy
What, the guy who tells the truth?
@@user-fs8tl7ni1w No, the guy who comments needless subjective statements on someone's YT channel completely irrelevant to the subject at hand.
@@user-fs8tl7ni1w LOL 6hrs after response this pops up in my feed... Enjoy!

What’s that horrible rattling noise in your truck? 😂 Sounds like you got a broken shock or something 😂
What minute mark? There’s so much stuff in and on the truck, I’m just so used to it at this point 🤣
It’s been in all your videos 😂 probably your tent or something. That would drive me nuts 😆
If you plan to go for the “off roading” don’t it’s a national park not an off road park
National Sea Shore but, yeah I guess 🤷🏻♂️
When we were at Myrtle Beach a few years ago we drove up to the OBX for a “day” trip. Definitely not a day trip. Worst road trip ever.
And bro, that is 100% not a day trip 💀 That’s a lot of driving lol.
Like an 18 hour drive. With flooded roads and blinding rain in a economy rental
I'm going to Cape lookout here in four more weeks. Been there several times you two make the cutest couple lol
hey man do you think i could run that back road with a rwd tacoma ?

4wd or AWD is required. They won't let you on the ferry otherwise
Nice...thanks 4 sharing
