When i fit the regulator i wind 2 or 3 turns of PTFE thread tape to the bottle thread . If you try this method you will find the hiss of wasted gas is near enough eliminated . And you will get quite a lot of extra time welding with the bottle . Hope this tip that i always do helps a few people out there .
I noticed that - at 1:39' - when you turned the black (pressure control) knob, you first turned it one way then turned it in the opposite direction. Why is this. Can anyone tell me ?
I didn't see that regulator needle move at all when he spun the tap. Do ANY of these metered regulators actually work. All we see is reports worldwide from home users saying that they just don't. Is the disposable gas thing a con? Maybe these dealers now all swapped to selling nicotine vaping kits instead. Italy and Spain do relatively cheap cylinders so maybe the popular branded regulators are fixed so we have to buy expensive branded cylinders. Any other views out there ? I looked through Amazon reviews - mostly negative. US welders forums the same.
Economic and cost effective hahahahaha. What a crack up!!! $59 for a bottle that will last half an hour or $99 for a D size cylinder that will last me years!
Where do you get your D nin rental from? Is way expensive ,but its got to be for several applications where you only need a compact five minute weld id say. Going into very small spaces maybe ..
@@downunder1811 same problem here, I reckon it’s the cheap rubbish regulator, I didn’t have any gas escape like in the video and have reconnected it multiple times!!

If just MiG welding would be cheaper with flux cored wire if you don't want the hassle of gas bottles
