The first settler who died was a synth!
+"Oakie" Actually, something interesting. is that sometimes settlers will randomly be replaced with Synths, when this happens, said settlers will sometimes suddenly act paranoid at night, sabotage equipment (I.E you have to repair traps evem though you never actually used them), and eventually will lead into an institute raid on your settlement, where they will assist(or if any raid happens during this time frame, they'll turn on the others). If you spot them acting paranoid at night, wandering about with weapons ready, shoot'em.... You'll often find a synth component inside.
However, if you join the institute, this will stop occuring.

There should be a starting bell as well, it's ridiculous they wanna see eachoter's blood as soon as they're assigned to a platform.

I assigned companions to the arenas so that they would never die and I wouldn't lose settlers. I also gave the fighters melee weapons because it's much more interesting than people standing in the same place firing a gun until one of them dies. I ALSO put the deathclaw cage right outside of the arena with an entrance wide enough for it. That way the fighters wouldn't try to run behind the cage and set stuck there during the fight and there's a lot more space in the arena.
Wow. That power armor did nothing.
It was T-45 and if you remember correctly it didn't help much in the first mission

I'm going to Spectacle Island tonight....
Gonna build a massive, 10,000 audience capacity actual Arena, with seats, rows, balconies, concession stands, ringside seats, and, of course, the center stage.
I'm going to have a start/quit Bell, so we get maximum attendance (even if I have to force the settlers to go watch. Since they have the IQ of a ham sandwich).
And then I'm going to have a tournament! I'd make it a double elimination tournament, but well you know...
Keep em all in special locked up rooms until it's fight time. Take away their weapons, possibly give them extra armor to make the fights last longer than 15 seconds. And then the championship match will be fought in X-01 power armor.
And the winner will get a brand new power armor suit, a suped up Gauss Rifle, an awesome outfit (to be chosen later), some plasma grenades and mines, tons of chems and stimpacks, and more.
Fighting is one thing but you NEED a champion!

The arena nodes recommends having a removable barrier between the red and the blue one (for example a powered door) so that you can set things up before starting the fight.

The fact that you'd have that much patience with the building mechanics amazes me; it's too clunky, and Bethesda denies to enhance it...
are you kidding?! Have you seen how much Bethesda has added for us, almost all of the wasteland workshop was what people requested and they chose to add it, you can't say anything about them not wanting to give us stuff XD
You misconstrued my point, I don't mean additions I mean the actual mechanics of the game. The building is way too clunky I can't even control placement and they won't enhance it, they tell us that modders will fix it.

I LOVE IT. Every single bit of it. I may throw X6 in there though, or maybe have Cait get involved, she is into action after all. Otherwise, the Gunners will be torn to shreds by deathclaws; they will spill their blood, in the name of those who died in the Quincey Massacre. I'm definitely gonna build this arena, and Starlight is definitely one of the places to do it. Thanks for posting this Fluff-meister, HUGE help for me. Keep on rocking on :)

How did you assign that settler to power armour? Whenever I select someone and hover over some power armour, it doesn't highlight and the settler just begins walking into the power armour.
Is it possible to do this class without the beta wave emitter? As I'm playing a build that does not focus on charisma
I´ve tried an Arena "Beast vs Raider" but I think this isn´t meant to be because, after releasing the raiders my settlers always starts shooting them. Or is this buggy, if not, what is the role of the Raiders and Gunners? Thx
In case anyone dislikes how there is almost no where in sanctuary to build such a large arena I would suggest downloading a mod called scrap that settlement and sanctuary cleenup with Cabot house PS4 it's completely be rid of all the worn down houses and you get a nice clean house size of a castle and even better you have a better looking settlement and more room for your arena.
Can you put the cages outside the arena and assign 2 of them to the arena platforms or will they just attack eachother straight away?
Can you teach us how to make that building behind the arena that was also in the trailer? That would be awesome :)

My settlement build size doesnt go down when I store items, is this a common problem?
Fluffy a question, when you build your robots, do you use legit parts or do you add with console? Just curious since you had 1000+ resources.

Does the beta cloud emitter work on humans? eg: a raider and a gunner won't attack my settlers and my settlers won't attack them

I remember building an arena like this but like x12 bigger. Installed a few mods for more creature cages and next thing you know, a crowd made of brotherhood members, nuka raiders and synth coursers watched a free-for-all between a behemoth, a gulper, a deathclaw, a deathjaw and mirelurk queen. The Behemoth won simply because of his massive damage output.

I made a complex system in which I initiate the fight with a button, traps coming on and off at certain intervals, and then after two minutes a death law cage opens up to add to the challenge, the lights are set up to shine above each competitor before their doors to he inner arena open, and then after 5 whole minutes more advanced traps activate
