The title footage and production looked great and then after the title crawl was over we went from reused footage from the Empire Strikes back to the worst acting and graphics ever slapped together in microsoft movie maker app.. The chick at 4:05 looked like she's be more at home at a BDSM leather fetish club than on the deck of a star destroyer.. I get that this was done as a fan film and there was no money involved, but ave enough pride in your work to realize that sometimes it's better that n one see's what you've done!!

I know I'm late watching this, but this film was not well put together. I'm surprised Disney has not flagged you for using their movie footage. Also, you needed better continuity with your story. It didn't make sense you using original movie footage from the original trilogy to have Kylo Ren go to Hoth.

I appreciate fan films. However this feels a bit lazy. The hat the girl was wearing looked bad, but is something you could make better on any budget. The girl Kylos kills has a burn mark then she doesn't, then she does. People are off their marks. The acting seems forced, and not natural. Editing in actual star wars scenes and dialogue highlights these inadequacies. Just use your own material. I don't mean to offend, just constructive criticism. Good luck in future films.

How can kylo ren be born when Leia is still only about 21 or 22 & kylo is in his mid 20s & Vader would be the better villain all day long
I can forgive the bad acting and poor production quality. This is a fan film with no budget. But putting established lore, cannon, and film clips in a Waring blender and hitting the puree button is lazy, incoherent and inexcusable.

The movie starts out well, reusing footage from Ep.V to good intent. The real new content starts at 4:05.
4:20 . As much as I dig people being fan of Star Wars and buying merch, honestly : why this hat, girl ? And this outfit ? Imperial law on uniform has gotten a bit loose I see ?
back to original Ep.V content until 6:55, where WHAT ON EARTH IS THIS ?!? I get this is new content pasted on original but WHEW, LADS ! this is suprising ! shouldn't this guy's head be a little bit lower ?
Anyway, let's pass this. The reald bad thing is clearly audible from 5.55 to 6:10 : a voice too calm, buddy : you're on the battlefield, supposed to fight for dear life, not on a simulator... pants aren't wet enough around here ;-)

We're inside a planet, not on deep space, they should move much faster than that. Actually, in the Ep.VII extract at 7:21 they move at the correct speed. You should have taken example on that.
7:30 Hmm... there, it kinda starts to get a little bit cringy : Had you got a mic on your helmet, or an incoming sound transmission system with some other pilots talking back, it would sound and look better.
7:34 Actually, I was thinking : wouldn't it be very dangerous, to move your head 90 degrees like that when piloting such a fast engine ? With all the G-Forces, and stuff ? I mean, OK, it's a very minor thing and detail, but think about it : we never see pilots do that in the offical material ! Nor do we see this in RL airplane or motor racing ! And in nowadays Formula 1 cars, they even do neck thingies to prevent pilots' necks from tilting !

Else, Kylo's actor should have slowly moved his hand up so that the girl would have known he went for a choke. Or you could actually have reshot this one. But it was bad. As bad as that girl's outfit.

Well, approx. twice the video duration time, if we count scene inspection and comment typing. It takes much more time however when the fanfilm I review tends to be horseshit : mental cleaning time ;-)

I remember loving star wars fan films a decade ago. In fact when I rewatched them recently they still hold up remarkably well but other than that Darth maul film from a couple of years ago, I am yet to find one released after 2010 that has kept my attention for longer than 2 minutes. Anyone recommend me any I should check out?

Most of this was very good because most of this was the actual films. The parts that weren't were extrenely poor. Awful acting, terrible script, non-sensical plot and laughable effects.

Cheesey but sigh...i loved it. With all the horrible things going on with the SW fandom, this movie reminded me any SW fan film was epic because we loved Star Wars. And not complain about anything new.

Have destroyed the franchise, more than Rian Johndon and Kathleen Kenneddy.
Clumsy Jedi, SW Theory, Ekheart's Ladder and fan films like these. (Good or cheesey) always remind me of how wonderful Star Wars is...ALL 9 and Rougue One movies are.
This movie may be cheesey but it still gave me that love for Star Wars.

I think I would have to rewatch it a few times to say exactly what I thought but I appreciated that something more is happening and we can return to that setting again again.
