I don't think I've EVER seen these two go so bananas over any product before. You can see the child in them lighting up so much, anticipating every note that comes from this wonderful reverb. Like they said, "Take my money!"
Yep. Pete is one of those pro guitar players that somehow makes everyone else around him feel inspired to play better/differently. Cap and Bea just to name two. One of the best decisions ever from Cap was to hire that nutty Dane.
I don't recall the 1st time I commented on the greater level of creativity Pete brings to Anderton's TV spots. Once he started tweeking the Cloudburst's knobs to get the tones he was hearing in his head to come out of the amps it all came together. Always good value. Lee & Pete make such good presenters together. Playing to each other's strengths, one never really stepping on the other's toes.
Or imagine starting a gig with this 🤬 and... finishing with it... all ALONE .... Doesn't really matter... the reverb will continue to annoy people for 2/3 days after 🤫😭🤣😅
This sounds fantastic and Pete's playing was amazing! Also, it was like "Rabea Massaad has entered the room" once Pete hit the fuzz. Absolutely killer!
Isnt it crazy to think that we saw pete once in a mesa boogie video, heard his playing once and were so enamored that we demanded his return and changed whole the trajectory of this channel.
Lol, Pete didn’t want to stop! Wow. That’s spectacular. They should call that pedal the Dreamland, because it sounds like a dream and puts you into a dreamlike state. Something like that. Instant Terge Rypdal. And yes, your average worship guitarist must be salivating in anticipation of getting their hands on one. This pedal is a game changer. Seriously. And thanks for the Jeff Beck tribute at the beginning. So sad to lose him.
I ordered within 30 seconds of the start of your video. It is with out a doubt the most inspiring pedal I have ever purchased. Its pure gold and a steal for the price.
It’s crazy how much time I spent through the day thinking and listening to reverbs and then this video pops up and I already have one preordered😂 Great stuff!
Been going over Beck's career (like a lot of folks right now I guess), it's kind of stunning when taken as a whole. The longevity despite being an outlier/aberration , the sheer diversity of output. Amazing. Oh, also this pedal is lovely too. I aspire to purchase Strymon pedals when I grow up.
Strymon are truly in a league of their own when it comes to time-based and spatial effects. And their modulation is top notch. And their digital drives...and cab sims. Damn, they really never made a bad or even a mediocre pedal.
What a demo! Thankyou Pete! Would love to see Pete use this when he really gets to know it and he can demonstrate even more brilliant sounds. Do it! Do it! Do it!
It’s been a while since I’ve smiled this much watching a pedal review. Both from your joy trying the pedal and the ridiculously beautiful soundscapes. Sold
I am a more than happy user of the Volante and the Iridium. But after having watched this and your Recent Demo of six Strymon V2 Releazes I have realized how understrymonized I actually am. Take all my money, strymon!! But hey - these guys are so creative in hammering out fantastic effects on stellar quality level to us, the guitar community. And the playing in this one was once again off the charts imo.
I'm not a guitarist or a musician for that matter, but I am a big music fan and techie. The sound coming out of that Strymon is amazing to me - in ensemble mode it's like being backed by an incredible keyboard player with strings as well. and like the commentators said, it can open up so much to your imagination. Thanks for the video.
Of all the videos I have watched from Andertons I really think this has to be one of the best sounds you have achieved to date. Pete is an excellent musician always, but somehow his playing in this video was next level good and inspiring. Really loved this one!

Pete demonstrating his clean tone reminded me of the good old days where Rob used to show off his "clean tone" and it was more distorted than the rhythm guitar sound on a 90's Metallica album
It would be so easy to just bliss out on that for a long time. I keep getting shades of Gilmour's 'Let's Get Metaphysical'. Just chills and tears. Great demo.
I have never ordered something so fast with this price category but wow this is totally worth it looking forward to it when it arrives. I am speechless from this demo
it reminds me of how Jeff Beck's keyboard player would play some atmospheric pad sounds behind his guitar on certain parts where the rest of the band weren't playing.
Crikey, that pedal sound was so beautiful it actually made me shed a little tear. I live in Guildford, reckon I might have to nip down and see if I can have a go on this emotional barnstormer…just to confirm it will leave me in a heap of course.
In this case I think it would be more "channel your inner Vangelis", it instantly took me to that original soundtrack. But yeah, Hans Zimmer's work on the sequel was amazing also
If you like this, you can also try Line6 M5/M9/M13 Particle Reverb, it's amazing and you can also do the freeze by setting the Mix to the max. The Auto volume echo -delay also does quite nice freeze pads.
@@anthonyozuna4765 between this and their outrageous big sky plug-in price I’m loosing faith that they are trying to do anything new. If just seems like they are recycling old ideas for money. This reverb would be perfect for a Vangelis/Blade Runner style track. At various points Pete has accidentally nailed some of those sounds from the original movie.
I use a Mooer R7 X2, and on the mod setting, I try to have such a sound. Do you think I'll have to upgrade to a strymon? (excuse my bad english, I'm French)
Kudos to Strymon for releasing an ambient delay that also has a bit of echo at a more competitive price than their other reverb options. Great freeze option also and pairs really great with other pedals. For $70 less however, the new Soft Focus by Catalinbread appears to be a better option for Ambient delay and versatility of usable tones that can also deliver the shoegaze territory....although it does not have that freeze option which is a great plus for the Cloudburst. Nonetheless, the Cloudburst delivers the quality plus tone. Good pedal.
As someone who owns the Strymon Big Sky, spend the extra and buy the Big Sky. It does this and so much more. You can even save tons of presets for your channels so you won’t have to keep adjusting between songs. You’ll be glad you did.
