Update::: It wasn't all that, to be honest. I felt really relaxed and in the beginning, it actually worked for me. The hypnotist told us our hands were heavy like lead and I couldn't move my hands. He also told us our tongues were stuck to our lips and I couldn't move my tongue. However, looking back on it, I feel like if I tried hard enough, I probably could have. But in the moment, I couldn't. I'm pretty susceptible to hypnosis I think (he tested us in the beginning to make sure). But as the show went on, it felt as though everyone was acting/faking it (myself included). I feel like all of us just responded with how he expected us to. He told one boy that when he came back from the bathroom, all of the paper towels would look like $1,000 bills. I thought he was faking it/acting... he even questioned (quite comically) when he was out of hypnosis why he was clutching paper towels. They made us (girls) dance like ballerinas and lip sinc to some Miley Cyrus song. When we were dancing though, I felt a bit uncomfortable since I was the only one "trying" but it's whatever. I'm usually a really shy person but for some reason, I was able to make a complete fool of myself in front of my entire grade. At the end, the hypnotist told us that we'd forget everything that happened for ten minutes and then remember it again and also feel very awake and refreshed. I remember feeling refreshed and awake (I couldn't sleep for a long time after I got home, despite staying up until 4:30 a.m.) but I definitely did remember everything that happened. So in the end, it felt like I was acting (and I'm sure I was). Maybe the audience thought I was faking, and to be honest, I'm not completely sure either. But it wasn't all that exciting, to be honest, and I kind of wish I'd rather watched with the crowd. Nevertheless, I'm glad I did end up experiencing it; I felt really relaxed afterwards. Sorry for the long post :)
