Very nice my man! The 32 moves her pretty good too! Im about to start my Hybrid build i have everything, including a Rcmax Supreme 80 custom dual andoized that you saw already Joel, and it matches the rest of the Rcmax parts i also had Dual Anodized front to back! I have 1 more Rcmax worlds first Mike is sending out this week for it and time to start building! Ill have a video of my entire build later in the week, sick Hybrid Joel!👍👊
yeah felt a bit sluggish to me.... but it was reasonable in fairness.maybe a touch over geared for a good take off, or could have been the new clutch needed bedding in.
I like the new wheels. I am a mcd wheels fan though, so light with lots of tread and compound choices, so on a small bore like this i would likely stay mcd style. On a bigger engine though i think the new genesis wheels from rcmax would be my number 1 choice. brp is a bit heavy and does not react to wet conditions well ( which being in the UK can be an issue) Not that i like running in the rain, but the ground is often damp/wet. I really want to try the spike pattern as may be ideal for the conditions i run in. Fingers crossed i will see them this weekend so look out for the video ;)
The main purpose of the Hybrid is to have the super strong Baja transmission and the benifits from the awesome turning ability from the Losi 5ive T + easier to work on 👍 im building one right now myself with a Rcmax Supreme 80
I think that is what they are yes.... I bought the baja used so spec of the rear end is close to how it came. would like some IRC rear shocks on it really
Hmmmm. around £3K+ i guess depending on spec.... best option would be a used one really, well built and looked after of course. You see them go around £2k
I really like the 5th scale cars the big motors really rip up the ground. What I don't like is the throttling. It seems like everybody that owns a gas motor is always throttling even when they're going straight why can't we just keep a solid throttle slow down turn throttle on again instead of throttle throttle throttle. Cool cars though wished I had one
It's because our engines are 2 stroke and if you let them idle to long the will "load up" in the carburetor with fuel which could stall out the motor or make your throttle response lag. A few seconds. When you hear us with the throttle going, brap brap braap.m then go full throttle its called "clean out". Your making sure the correct fuel mixture os in the carburetor for maximum acceleration on your low end. Hope that helps you understand the logic behind my man.👍
also.... its maybe a bit of a habit think in my case, i like to warm up my engines so blip it a fair bit instead of holding a constant throttle. if you let it sit for any length of time idling and then just go for it it will often have loaded up a bit on fuel and bog down off the line so blipping it keeps it clear/er.... also after a longer full throttle pass a blip or 2 can flood in a bit of extra fuel to cool it and bring the idle down to where you want it. maybe a bit annoying on the ears tho ;)
It's an interesting project, by why though? What's the advantage? In the end didn't you just make a heavy baja? Or is it a 2wd 5ive? Either way I don't see the advantage.. Not that you need an objective reason to do it.. I'm just curious.
As your mate said not bad for a Weed whacker 🤭 very nice build nice to see 32 Obr Reed valve works nice 👍
Hi mate...yeah not bad considering ;)
oh man that things a beast! very purdy!
thanks !
That’s a very interesting hybrid! 👍😉
cheers buddy
@@RCmaxxUK cheers 😉
Nice build! Looks good!
Thank you! Cheers!

Nice one mate! look forward to seeing your build and it running soon! :)
Thats cool bro
Thanks mate
Nice work !!! That weed wacker engine is running pretty good 😂🤣 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, it was decent. I have gotten used those crazy engines, so felt a bit flat... and its not exactly light hehe
@@RCmaxxUK yea I totally understand mate 🔥💪🏻👊🏼👍🏼
1st😉
It moves pretty damn good for “just a 32” as you say! Great job on the body too. Happy holidays!
2st😉
and to you mate cheers ;)
Joel nice build mate and that looks like it was moving for a 32 👍
Cheers mate ;)
it seemed sluggish sorry image twin 50cc rotary on it? or awd brushless

What does a hybrid achieve? Isn’t steering all funky because of the 4x4 steering geometry?
What wheelie bar is that
What do you think of the new rcmax wheels compared to say brp's or mcd wheels?

whats the purpose of a hybrid? A better handling 2wd then the Baja? Looks good by the way😉😉😉

@@FifthScaleOrBustRc good to know thanks mate😉
@@me8u73 no problem bro, any more questions feel free to ask well, prob ahould do it on my channel so dont muck up Joel' s alert feed😄🤘
Very nice! You would like to see my homemade 1/5 49cc RC car!!
Are you running the integy rear shocks for the baja on your hybrid?
I think that is what they are yes.... I bought the baja used so spec of the rear end is close to how it came. would like some IRC rear shocks on it really
When are you putting up another video of this I hope soon
What gear ratio are you running?
I want to build one we’re do I start any links to were I can buy parts
Check out my other video on the hybrid, explains the build..
How much are these 1/5 scales with all the upgrades on them and those massive engine i have seen in you other videos?
Hmmmm. around £3K+ i guess depending on spec.... best option would be a used one really, well built and looked after of course. You see them go around £2k

That's shit joel I told you it would be now put the Baja back together lighter faster better
Team Baja 💪
Lol it just needs more power the Baja is a old dog
