Yes you can have it off completely if you want
Yup, you can turn it off whenever you want, it is in the setting section

It has been interesting not to find tips on mounting it to dash, hence the word "DASH camera" Certain legal guidelines in Wisconsin for dashcams not mounting it to glass or obstructing viewpoints. I take it REDTIGER seems not to work to well unless mounting it to glass with screen not able to rotate ? Shipment of product come in tomorrow and interesting to see if i return it with not finding many tips.
