I'm a Sabian guy, but if I weren't, and were a sprouting drummer looking for a serious set of cymbals to take things to the next level, I'd definitely go Meinl. Their advertising, and demos are so much better

I will be contacting my Sweetwater re Alex for more information. We are drummers. we collect as do a guitar player or else. whats wrong with a cymbal vault. or as many of my drummer friends and I have.... a snare drum fetish too

You totally missed the point. This isn't about the quantity of cymbals required he to make music. This is a cymbal DEMO, meaning we asked him to show the viewers what all of the different cymbals from this series sounded like in one video, thus he would need a lot of cymbals as there are more than two cymbals in this series. - Chris/Meinl

To the folks loving the snare sound (and I agree, it’s great): it’s really simple to get a good one, it’s mostly about the drummer and how he, or she, hits the drum. Good luck with your snare sound!
IMO, this line seems a bit too mellow'd for this style. The Classics/Classic Customs/Classic Custom Darks have a better fit for this style of music. Basing my opinion from the earlier video with the Classic Customs Brilliant video which used the same song.
I ordered all those cymbals at Thomann (14 HH, 16, 18, 20, 22 and even 19). Il reality : They DONT SOUND AS GOOD as in this video !!! The 14 Hi Hat is perfect. But all the Crash Cymbals have a cheap resonant sound. And they don't sound as fast as they seem in this video.

Love the Pure Alloy series, I was a big fan of the Mb20s but the Pure Alloy crashes sound just as good if not better.

Pure alloy is truly one of the best series around , they aren’t very expensive but sound so great, I just wished there was a 19“ Crash.

I can't hear the cymbals to well as the drums are overriding them and I'm using headphones..pity as they look amazing ☹️
Maybe your headphones have the LPF function on. :P
