Your temp is too high. Try lower temp, maybe faster speed if that doesn’t get you there. I have a laminator that allows temp and speed control. I use deco foil at 158 F at speed 3, which is slow.
Most laser printers are only black. If you just want to get laser make sure it does colour too. I have both an inkjet and laser printer that I use depending on the decals I’m making.
May I ask why you wouldn't be able to foil inkjet paper? I'm assuming it probably has something to do with how inkjet uses ink to print and laser uses like a powder ink right. Based off what I been reading. I'm new to this. I'm just wondering if I did try to foil inkjet what would happen?
The foil DOES work on inkjet paper only. On Laser paper the foil sticks to the entire sheet not just the images. Laser paper seems to be sticky vs. the inkjet paper.
You wanna use a combo of Inkjet PAPER + Laser PRINTER for this method (yes the difference in printers is that ink on top of paper via liquid ink & laser “burns” the image into the paper via toner)
It’s a protector sheet, not laminating plastic. You can also put them between paper if you can’t find the protector sheet. Mine came with the Minc laminator.

Sadler Up Nails hey thank you for replaying. I ended up trying with another paper. When I founded your video I was already trying to make the stickers. I found another video not related to nail decals but it gave me the basics. Unfortunately for me, I didn’t find the right paper since the begging and I was so happy with your video, but despite I was using everything like you did, even the laser printer, the same paper, it didn’t worked for me. I didn’t desisted so I finally founded a paper that works and I’m so happy 🤗. I learned that when it comes to foiling, some papers work better others, and not just for water slide decals, for any type of foil application. Either way, thank you for everything, your video is amazing it explain everything to detail and I’m sure it’s been helpful for a lot of people.
