The rising poverty and hunger is alarming every one. The population of have nots shall be the biggest challenge for peace and harmony. Politicians must act in time to checkout the future of our country instead of securing themselves.
Ironic for a country where the nationalism is very high but no struggle to achieve social justice. Tribalism, caste system and social class are maintained. The political parties still maintain the divide n rule policies of the British Raj
One thing is sure the people who are paying taxes are getting nothing in RETURN! Basic facilities like Education and Medical services are not in place. Good amount of MONEY is looted by POLITICIAN.

An independent villa in a decent locality would cost you in between 2 to 4 crores. If you are going to buy an apartment, you dont get anything less than 1.5 crore in a decent locality. Even if you plan out your strategies of saving very well, it is really hard to live without you having to take up some job in some capacity somewhere. Though a fixed deposit fetch you some interest money, the inflation is so bad that eventually that would just be worth less and less over a period of time. There isn't a fool proof investment idea that exists in India. India is perhaps the worst country on earth in terms of investment as they can print infinite amounts of money to give out as freebies as against to supporting someone who works really hard and also pays their taxes very promptly.

Most things Akshat said makes sense. Except - 1. Middle class will shrink: not true, middle class will continue to grow given the population growth and the fact that majority of population is young 2. If #1 is valid and true to happen, it is highly unlikely that the govt will increase personal income tax. This is evident also from the introduction of the 'New Income Tax regime' which has given tax relief to starter income ranges. 3. Leave India - as someone who has lived in UAE and US for 8+ years and then returned to India, I can tell you that the phrase "grass is greener on the other side" is very true. Stated differently, EVERY country in the world is going thru difficult times and there is no "perfect" country to immigrate to. As someone who may not have global experience yet, you won't know the challenges until you experience it first hand. For example, high/good paying jobs in UAE are far and few and likely you will will end up in middle income range with which it is quite difficult to sustain a family in the UAE. TL;DR: Make money in India and move from middle to rich class in whichever legal methods you wish to choose. Your lifestyle and living conditions will be as good or better than abroad.
On 3. above, atleast for US I can tell you that the return on taxes you pay is much better than in India. Yes there are problems here too and some more serious than in India, but quality of life is better and return on taxes you pay is much better.
I had the same experience in Canada. Very high inflation. The cost of living is very high. The lifestyle I am having in India is far reality in dollars perspective

But overall, i think India has improved a lot and i see no point for people already in India to leave India.
1. Return, if you think India has a stellar future. You sound like a hypocrite. 2. Mindset has not changed. Still ignoring the larger problems, while talking about the improvement of the minor issues... that should be non issues. What is the cause of India's pollution, trash, lack of hygiene, etc? ...the answer to this question is the core issue.
Come back to India if you think it’s so great! Breathe in the pollution and open drainage, deal with corrupt baabus and political bullies. Fight poor hygiene and defend your health. ‘Brands and services’ have improved is such a nonsense claim to make
Only the millionaires are leaving India and because they are rich they have many options to buy property abroad and make investments abroad. After making a good amount abroad, they keep most of their money abroad and their families. Then, they return back to India without their families to make more money here and repeat the process. Going as a middle class student abroad is a different ballgame. He will have to suffer for a very long time abroad and even when he returns to India (in case he does not get PR abroad) because these Western countries are not as economically good as they were in the past (even though they have many more advantages compared to India as of now)

Everyone has their opinion and here is mine. I pay high taxes. Yes. But I benefit from doctors and healthcare available on demand. Yes, I pay from my pocket from regular checkups. Large expenses are covered by insurance. Super affordable. Good luck with that in USA, Canada or most EU countries. Education is excellent if you plan it right from beginning. There is a reason why India produces large numbers of engineers, doctors and executives for the whole world. Roads are bad. Yes. I travel less due to remote nature of my work. Also, the expressways and highways are super smooth in areas I frequently take my car out. I don't worry about speeding or tickets because I raised my speed 10 km above limit. I have 3-4 maids constantly working in my house. Good luck employing them in the Western or Arab nations. Life in every country is different and it comes down to what you're comfortable with. Grass always looks greener on the other side so take any advice with pinch of salt.

After listening to Askhata on the topic of migration i thought i should respond...i have travelled extensively be it US Europe Singapore on long term and short term as part of my career from India and fairly senior now. I had the opportunity to stay back as a NRI but decided to come back ..best decision of my life when i had children. I was one of first batches of computer engineering in 1991. 1. Migration to other countries will not solve all your so called quality of life issues. 2. Money is important no doubt.but happiness is a factor of many other aspects. 3. Life is not only money. It involves lot of other aspects family, near and dear ones, relations, your village, society. 4. All countries have equal share of problems in their own domain be it health care, inequality, opportunities. 5. Health especially mental health is very important. 6. Children education and their outlook of life is important. If your are obsessed with providing luxury your kids, u develop woke kids ..there could be exceptions. 7. Running away from problems is the easiest route. There are difficult choices but will be fulfilling. 8. India is changing and your definition or western definition of success and happines no longer a valid. 9. There are good things in other countries, you go and learn them come back and make a difference be it small one 10. You are just one among the crowd outside and you come across racists. 11. You are a alien immigrant in a foreign soil a cheap labourer. 12. Be my guest if it appealing to run.
cant agree more. its reverse. Outside india you see immigrants from humble backgrounds and not seen, met a single person with factories in india or shops in chandni chowk. no super rich spotted outside india accept for shopping. all those point said in the video, will have no standing against isolation and loneliness
Agree with many of your points, but I’m an NRI also and still have mixed feelings about going back. Have a fulfilling job and a good life within my needs. Everyone is different and it’s relative, as to what holds importance for each of us and what brings happiness. Just one more thing about the racism you mention. Racism and discrimination is a human flaw, every one suffers from it. In fact if you look deep down inside yourself you might have also harboured similar thoughts.. and some of the worst discrimination I suffered was guess where? India!! My own country and society, or so I thought 😢
Great video Akshat and timing of this video… It’s disheartening to see when there are so many burning issues in India which could be discussed during this elections from both the sides i.e. Political parties and citizens but what parties like BJP talk about is Hindu Muslim (e.g. Modi’s speech in Rajasthan today) even after being in Power for 10 years.. I think it’s not the fault of the political parties… they are selling what the demand is.. It seems no-one (Masses) cares about actual issues which can improve lives of the people.

This is not only happening in India but also in the UK where the government is not investing properly in infrastructure and increasing taxes every year for the same level of service. Your points about India are valid and this has been going on for years now so nothing has changed in the last 20 years.
Just a thought about what you said about moving to europe, “the taxes are higher, but facilities are more”. I am in Germany since last three years. Here the taxes are really higher and the facilities are charged separately. Like you will get very good public transport, but fares are higher. The roads are really good, but the maintenance charges and vehicle insurances will rip you apart if you own a car. The healthcare is not that great here, but they charge above 500 euros every month. This doesn’t again include all the treatments, you need to topup to get other illnesses covered. And being away from your home is another problem. Its hard to survive with the language here, its hard to make friends here 😢. Lot of issues like this are here as well. Like our grandparents says, grass is always greener on the other side😂
Akshat u display crystal clarity of thoughts and amply reflect the current situation and truth of India. May you have the courage to continue with your mission.
People should start asking questions from government in different platforms and also start voting for their policies towards people and what facilities people are getting from government.
Very good video Akshat. I am generally critical of your videos. But this was one of the best RUclips video I have seen in long time. Pure hard hitting truth.
Till I was 33, I never had a plan to leave India - I worked in Government service for 3 years - and then I started thinking more about Culture, Work Culture, Private Practice of Radiology (I am a Radiologist), and Raising Kids - all such factors - I felt I was a misfit and is more complicated. I Left India and eventually settled in the USA - a long journey but totally worth it. My Migration is not based on the points discussed here, but - I agree with most of it in Retrospect. The last two points are brilliant - once you are a rationalist - You cannot understand the dominant population language there.
People are so desperate to leave India and talk ill of India about its political and economical position yet we have the curtesy to shout "India is the best" at cricket matches and on Independence Day. Best in What exactly?
Best in everything that you can not ever dream of... Best in philosophy..best in innovation..best in history...and Rahi baat development ki .let's meet after 50 years..
He covered almost everything but forgot to mention the jobs in the government sector. The clever people in our country always die to get into government jobs, civil services or the armed forces. They know very well, once you get in, it's a party. 'Kushi ki jindagi'. Fixed Salary, regular raise, priority housing, Club memberships, Subsidised education, Cghs, Allotment of plots in special colonies at low rates, connections, status and Pension.
There is no "pension" in govt jobs anymore. You are living in the past bruv. Low salaries, which will never increase beyond a certain point and you'll lose everything once you leave govt job. Yeah, no thanks.
Thanks .. I had the exact same points bothering me for the last few years. After years of convincing myself that India is the place to be for fast career growth, I finally gave up n left India with family in 2021. Pollution, ever increasing tax, bad roads , no health care, unemployment support etc etc. by the way the million dollar in most such cases is heard earned post 35% tax, clean (not inherited), but can be nothing if tomorrow one lose his/her job and left fending himself in an Indian city.
The main issue here is the exponential rise in India's population. It cannot be addressed easily by any government. So as explained in this video, people should start moving abroad. At least it will help lessen the burden here.
Yes, sir, it's 100% correct. We haven't received any tax returns from the government. However, to earn Rs.100, we pay Rs.30 in income taxes. Then, when we purchase fuel worth Rs.100, we pay an additional Rs.60 in (SGST & CGST) taxes. Ultimately, we're paying 90% of the total amount in taxes just to obtain fuel worth Rs.40. This is just one example. Similarly, for purchasing items like rice, wheat, curd, salt, etc., everything is subject to taxation. Bringing tomatoes from farmland involves calculating the taxes paid at various stages: electricity usage EB taxable, farm land usage tractor taxable, fertilizers taxable, labor cost taxable, vegetable transportation fuel taxable, toll gate charges, market entry fees, and storage electricity charges taxable, but while our veg wastage is not accounted to deduct of taxes. As you mentioned, we also need to set aside funds for quality healthcare and education for our children, as well as for the care of our elders, which also involves paying taxes." Likewise, we are allocating a significant portion of our earnings to the government through taxes. "Taxes, taxes, taxes-all are draining our resources and pushing our poverty rate above 80% of the total population, India is 140th position in terms of per capita income." also this govt dosnt have any economists or collective idea about how to control and feed to 140 crore peoples.
We need you to keep a check on the growth of our country, I can see you trigger a segment of people, but surely cannot hinder the growth of our country.. your video regarding investment is good but your motive towards fear mongering idea is really needed as well... One thing, if you are so sure India is in negative growth, pack-up and do what is good for you or do the right thing openly and I can see this is the right time to share this video to do soft influence on people...
Your points makes sense. BUT you are advising people to run away seeing problems in their Nation. I hope there are people who have strong values along with being rational. The value to sit and solve the problems of the nation than running away. Overall I really liked the video. I got to learn a lot!!! Thank you!!
It is not our job to solve the problems of country we are responsible for our own self if i am getting more benifits in abroad i will definitely shift their

This is an insightful and well thought out content. You also didn’t mention the horrible situation of the court system in India where no person can expect to achieve justice unless they are willing to fight for decades. Even a slow system like the one in US will get you somewhere within a year or two.
A lot of men have worked hard and went to western countries to settle. The wife then come to know about the western family law and she will go to court and take most of the assets and kick him out. Never make that mistake.

Most things Akshat said makes sense. Except -
1. Middle class will shrink: not true, middle class will continue to grow given the population growth and the fact that majority of population is young

6. Children education and their outlook of life is important. If your are obsessed with providing luxury your kids, u develop woke kids ..there could be exceptions.

True!
To add one more point when things go wrong on a foreign land Indian Govt. safely brings you back home in Indian AN 32 Planes
cant agree more. its reverse. Outside india you see immigrants from humble backgrounds and not seen, met a single person with factories in india or shops in chandni chowk. no super rich spotted outside india accept for shopping. all those point said in the video, will have no standing against isolation and loneliness
India is changing for whom?
Very well said, Venkat. Jai Hind
Great video Akshat and timing of this video…
It’s disheartening to see when there are so many burning issues in India which could be discussed during this elections from both the sides i.e.
True
What modiji quoted is a statement by man mohan singh, congress manifesto about distribution of wealth and gusbaitiyo means illegal immigrants of Myanmar rohingyas and bangladeshi who r coming to India illegally funded by them for votes🙌
All political parties are same. BJP is nothing different.
@@rajavikramvarma4052 Please check your facts before posting and listen what Manmohan exactly said. Don’t just repeat what BJP and Godi Media is saying. They repeat a lie thousands of times and people starts believing in it.
@@nkar333 I too thought the same but it seems like in last 10 years BJP has left all other political parties far behind.

Just for avoiding congestion and pollution its worth it.
Practical, pragmatic, rational, yet hard hitting facts…thank u for yet another lesson…❤❤

Oh I forgot 'Ghoos'
As you mentioned, we also need to set aside funds for quality healthcare and education for our children, as well as for the care of our elders, which also involves paying taxes."
Likewise, we are allocating a significant portion of our earnings to the government through taxes.
Akshat ,pl let us know your experience of living abroad...every country has its own set of issues..Remember you have made your money living in India..
He could have made money living elsewhere as well. Nothing to do with India but his content. RUclips is not an Indian company.
Your points makes sense. BUT you are advising people to run away seeing problems in their Nation.
I hope there are people who have strong values along with being rational. The value to sit and solve the problems of the nation than running away.
Overall I really liked the video. I got to learn a lot!!! Thank you!!
It is not our job to solve the problems of country we are responsible for our own self if i am getting more benifits in abroad i will definitely shift their
problem solving, policy making is d responsibilty of politicians,we pay for their all luxuries and nation building by tax ,what else as citizen u want us to do.runaway,nonsense.who actually runs away these corrupt politicians from their responsibility and duties.

This is an insightful and well thought out content. You also didn’t mention the horrible situation of the court system in India where no person can expect to achieve justice unless they are willing to fight for decades. Even a slow system like the one in US will get you somewhere within a year or two.
Truth is a bitter pill to swallow!! Thanks for the insights Akshat.
A lot of men have worked hard and went to western countries to settle. The wife then come to know about the western family law and she will go to court and take most of the assets and kick him out.
Never make that mistake.
The time has come when people had started asking "why not" rather than "why?".

None of the top developed/developing countries are capitalist or Free market or socialist. All the top 20 countries are totalitarian and facist. It means that the top 1 percent who fund the political parties and do not pay any taxes, take massive loans from government who collect high taxes from middleclass, upper middle class, small business groups. The government in all these countries provide average facilities to the society like providing alms. This has been happening for more than 3 decades. So stop thinking and acting like middleclass/upper middleclass and start working yourself to become rich. First thing to do is live a frugal life, to save money more than 60-70% of your salary/income and then invest in mutual funds, ELSS, index funds, stocks, gold MF/ELSS, gold, low cost real estate and Bonds, then in the next 12 years you can become financially independent and a millionaire.

Please inform this audience about the options available to them and what is the contrast between them about the same points that you mention about India.
If there is so much issue in India, why JP Morgan CEO Jamie Damon praising Indian developments? IMF, WORLD BANK etc all are praising India's growth. Do you have more data facts than them?
Obviously because they're not the one living in India, if it was so good they would come here to live, but the once who live here and want better quality life are leaving India
The video is about tax payers. What returns a tax payer is getting in India.
Think.. They praise because they want support from the rulers of India.. to grow their business in India
To use India to keep the global dollar ponzi system alive and transfer investment to India to pump it like china and se Asia it will not work for them 😂😂😂
JP Morgan CEO comment was related to extreme poverty and not to the middle class, this video is about the middle class.
