How did Ford and GM understand the math but Stellantis miss it? For every EV that gets ~100 mpg equivalent, you offset 3-5 V8 sales that get 15 mpg. So you lose $10-20k by selling a Chevy Bolt, but that allows you to sell 5 more Tahoes that you make $20-40k on each. Stellantis is too stupid to stay in business, they deserve this.

I think that CDJR is going to die. The problems with product, price, and quality will keep getting worse, eventually to a point where even if Stellantis were to offer to sell them off no group of investors would buy it because the cost of fixing all the problems would not make any fiscal sense.

No wonder they are having issues. The model with the V6, let's discuss. The electric motor driving it uses more energy than the backup generation can make. The batteries are so small that there is no range, especially with a load. So, you hook up your boat and head to the lake - in city traffic your batteries will deplete rapidly and the engine kicks on to give you about half the power the ev motor is made to use. How much fun would climbing the grades to the mountain lake at 30 mpg?
It’s a 92ish kwhr battery right? Just set the pentastar recharge cycle to start early. The BMW I3 rex had this identical problem- it’s just math. The negative is that it becomes essentially a serial hybrid, and is much less efficient programmed like that

It took Tesla several years to get good at making EVs, and that is with no competition. The best time to "practice" making Stellantis EVs was 5 years ago. They are too late now. So glad I bought my V-6 Jeep Cherokee off lease. I’m good to go for years with a reliable, comfortable and handsome SUV. I’ll check back in three years with a smile on my face. Good move with that Jeep.
Stallantis is done. Americans want quality vehicles that are reliable. My family has been a diehard Chrysler Jeep fan for 20 years. However, over the last seven years over eight of my family members have ditched the brand because of the quality issues and the mass increase of cost compared to other brands that are reliable.
I did see one of the new EV Chargers on the road the other day here in Birmingham, MI. It looks pretty cool. Not sure it’s gonna sell, but it looks pretty nice IMO.
Sounds like piss poor low voltage (12v) battery management + a module that isn't going to sleep. Bonus points if it's the 12v bms itself that isn't sleeping.

Well from what I’m told , the 12 volt battery is the battery that is dying. Something is staying active killing the battery. They are disconnecting them at the plant because they won’t go to sleep when ignition is off.
Instead of trying to do the EV thing with the Ram they should have done what Ford and the others did and focused on perfecting their hybrid stuff first, particularly 4Xe. Improving the existing hybrid tech is more ideal, and if they had given the Pentastar and maybe even an updated version of the 5.7 a functional 4Xe, non-fire starter edition, as an option with the refreshed trucks, they would have made a killing, granted they priced them appropriately. They could still developed the REV and its hybrid counterpart in the background but given it the timely improvements it needed instead of rushing it the way they are currently
Related to my last comment, look at the Silverado EV. Chevy got tons of experience with the Bolt and Lyric.
