Yessss! Okay it’s October 1, 2024 and I got this to work today! I did have to try many times, and I found that it worked pretty well doing it from a similar angle as Jade Mist in the video. Standing further from the shipping bin when moving the floors seems to help for some reason.
Something I am noticing after attempting this for SEVERAL hours lol... when you are snapping your floor pieces, if that second piece shows the grass poking out then it should work to be placed under your bin. If you do not see that second floor tile like that it will not lay. I think this is the visual representation of that glitch for reference. Just an observation I made, since that was the only time it worked for me was when that tile looked like the grass was poking out.

Love this but just can't get it to work on PC today. Loaded a new empty plot to be safe that nothing was obstructing placement. Placed builders stone floor exactly as described, it snapped and everything. Had grid mode on. Own all writs. But it just won't let me place anything under the shipping bin. I can place them inbetween the mailbox and the bin, but that's it. Even when I try to snap more stone floors on to the part that I've managed to get between the bin and the mailbox, as soon as it goes under the bin, it goes red. Did they patch it? *cries*
As long as you aim the little crosshair at the other block, it should snap. Also make sure you have the grid on instead of free build mode. And to make the shipping bin work, you would need to have all your writs unlocked as well. :)
Little tip, aim your cursor or little cross hair on the edge of the other tile, then they should snap together pretty easy. I hope it works out for you.
Exactly what Anne said here. Aim that little cursor at the other floor piece and also make sure you have your grid on. Don't be in the other mode that allows you to freely move items off the grid. :) Thanks for stopping by Jenn!
It can be a bit temperamental sometimes. Keep trying. Make sure you are in grid mode and not free movement mode. Make sure all writs are unlocked as well. I just recently learned that from Attitude Anne in another comment here.
Hello to anyone here.....I downloaded Palia on my Chromebook, I do have Palia on my switch, but I like the graphics and the extras I see on my Chromebook better. On the switch the graphics are clearer as well and there are no little flowers in the fields like you see on the PC version. I decided to try a game controller on my Chromebook and found that I could run my Nintendo pro controller wired only on my Chromebook. I still have to use the keyboard on my Chromebook though. Is there any other way around this? Please help, somebody, anybody.
Sorry you're having problems. I wouldn't have the first clue about anything Chromebook. I think the best thing to do is google Chromebook or Nintendo pro controller troubleshooting as I don't think you'll get much help here on a Palia video. I also know that Palia only offers partial controller support for Xbox and Dual Shock controllers so it could be a compatibility issue and you may not be able to use a Nintendo Pro controller. Best of luck!!
Those are some incredible builds! Please never tour mine, it is bare bones LOL. I can't allow myself to play too much because I will literally not stop for 6 hours!
I tried on switch and it doesn’t work 😮 Nvm, I found a way. I added 2 large wood crate behind the bin then added builders wood wall in front of crate/side of bin and started a construction from there 😁 Anyone want to see go Tour IGN: Adniel Jr.

I can snap the floors but it doesn’t place fully underneath my shipping bin. 1/3 of it will actually go under and then everything is red

It can be a bit temperamental sometimes. It's happened to me and I start it over and try picking it up at different angles.
Tried all angles and still won't work maybe because I'm using a asus rog ally
Do you have all your writs unlocked yet? If not, you'll need to unlock all the plot sections with writs.

Yes, it works perfectly fine on switch. I tested it out myself on both PC and Switch.
you might have to unlock all plot pieces, the writ's that is.

Having the same problem here.. I can use this Trick to put the stone tile on the sides of the shipping bin but not under it
