You always have the best, most useful reviews. No useless reciting of specs from the website, but actual hands-on demonstrations and answers to questions that no one else seems to provide. All the other reviews just show how bad bluetooth is when using non-DJI devices. A lot of people will most likely be using a DJI camera. Kudos.
This is a top tier review! I had my doubts about the mic mini and was unsure about the range and connectivity. I'm definitely happy that I went with the mic mini over the mic two. Thanks!!
Outstanding demo and super helpful. Need no receiver for Osmo 5 Pro then. Was leaning towards Hollyland M2 (I like the overall sound a little better) before this. But this great connectivity, ease of use, maintained weather sealing makes DJI mini without receiver a no brainer. Thank you for great demo 🙂
Literally your video is the most usefull video i found on youtube regarding the osmo audio!! Now i will definetely buy the stand alone mic for my osmo action 5 pro.
great test , I just installed mine on the camera and will be able to see ........ I am going to use it in my Helmet and see how it perform on the road.....
Awesome review. Thank you very much! One question regarding editing: if I want to use both mics for 1. recording my voice and 2. the sound of my motorcycle for example, will there be two separate audio tracks created or there is always the "main" audio track the action camera creates? Having two separate track would give an insane level of editing possibilities.
Using the 2 transmitters as you describe above, results in a single stereo track with one mic as the left channel and one as the right. You can use the combined track, with each channel at its “as recorded” level, or you can adjust the level of each channel separately. If needed, you can also adjust the balance throughout the video.
Thanks so much for this informative video! We've been looking at the Mic 2 system, but the Mini looks to be a much better value, especially since you only need to buy one or two Mini mics without the receiver if you have the Action 5.
Great Video! Exactly what I was looking for, love it :) I actually noticed a difference when you where far away on the "No receiver audio" there was a strange digital background noise. Why is this happening? I was listening with headphones on.
Hello, thank you for your video, it is very good. I have a question, if on the camera you stop the stop recording button and the camera suspends and you leave the microphone on and then you press the button to start recording again (quik capture), it connects alone to the microphone or the camera occupies the internal microphones. I ask you this because this happens with the gogpro, if I use the quik capture the microphone is disconnected and connected again but the gopro ends up using the internal microphone. greetings, good video.
@@ttl_channel - Great. I am getting ready to move from GoPros to DJI. At one time, before four of my five GoPros became unreliable, I was able to start and stop them via my iPhone. I am hoping the DJI cameras have that capability
Do y have any insight from DJI or elsewhere about the actual audio codes being used, the bit rates and/or the sample rates? Are those different as between the direct wireless and the receiver wireless?
I have a question. Can these mics connect to 2 action cameras at a same time? Wondering if 2 persons can do motovlogging with these and hear each other’s voice in 2 cameras.
It's only available on Pocket 3 and Osmo Action 2. In Action 5, you need post audio combine editing. In setting, just turn on Built in mic audio backup, it will record internal audio ad well, as said, it is a separated audi file and need post audio editing combination.
Hello ! is it possible to record the sound on the wireless mic and the onboard at the same time? Iif I lose the wireless connection, I can use the internal sound as backup
I have the Action 5 and purchased the dji mini's today. Great video. I learned a lot, thank you. My wife the camera person also says thanks.
Thanks! I am glad the video was helpful.

Very thorough...it helped to make a better buying decision and that's exactly what I needed!
Thanks…and thanks for watching.

Impressive performance of the Mic Mini. Not so much to wonder about, will make an order tomorrow. Thanks for the super duper test :)
Glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching.
This is an awesome in-depth review! Just what I needed
Glad you found it helpful!
This review was just what I needed as have just got the Action 5 but not decided upon what Mic yet. Thanks😊
Glad I could help!

let us know how it goes.
Can you start/stop recording via mic?
Yes. Sorry, forgot to mention that.
Very informational, thanks bud!
Appreciate your video. Told me all I needed to know. And saved an unnecessary purchase. Thanks 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!

You’re right, the Mini is a great value, especially when paired with the Action 5.
My thoughts exactly.
The product page says that the transmitter alone without the receiver will work with both Action 4 and 5 as well as Pocket 3.
@@stevewoodyt only can use one Mini mini with the Action 4 wirelessly.
@@NightSyndicate oh. I thought I read two. Dang.

thank you very much nice comparison
I appreciate it, thanks for watching!
So good, nice and clean video about the products 🙂
Glad you liked it!!
Perfect. Just what I needed. Subbed!

hii.. @17:27 does that wind noise persists even after attaching the provided wind muff..??
dead cat very helpful to that kind of wind.... its very useful
Thank you for the test !
You bet!
Really appreciate this review! ❤️ Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Sir suggest me good settings for moto vlogging, like gain and Noise cancellation (High or low)

greetings, good video.
As long as the mic is powered on, it will reconnect instantly and be used for the recording.
I would say with the receiver the audio sounds fuller and just a bit more natural.
Thanks for the feedback.
Do you have a video showing how to run the DJI Camera from an iPhone?
No, but maybe I should. I will try to post something, but might be a while (traveling next week).

Would be nice but unfortunately does not work. 2 mics to 1 camera, but not the other way round.
@ Thank you.
nice job!
Thanks for the visit
Great work, love the vid! How does the onboard audio quality compare with the mic mini?
I would say, at close range, as good if not slightly better. If you are right next to the camera, then use the onboard mic.
can you connect a TTS 3.5mm jack mic to the Action 5Pro ie a Movo VXR10? thanks
Yes, but you would need a mic adapter (amzn.to/4fIZZdM)
if I have a mini mic connected directly, does the camera's mic still record? Is there a setting for that?
It's only available on Pocket 3 and Osmo Action 2. In Action 5, you need post audio combine editing. In setting, just turn on Built in mic audio backup, it will record internal audio ad well, as said, it is a separated audi file and need post audio editing combination.
Wow what a great and impressive video! Well well done! Do you know if the mini osmo mic connection will also work with the ace pro 2 camera?
It should (standard Bluetooth connection). I will be testing this out shortly - stay tuned.
Hello ! is it possible to record the sound on the wireless mic and the onboard at the same time? Iif I lose the wireless connection, I can use the internal sound as backup
Yes, there is a feature called "built-in mic audio backup" for doing exactly that.
Yes but not on the Action 4
so you can connect those 2 mini wirelessly and no attachment on the oa4?i mean no need for the receiver?
That is correct!
I'm not able to connect it in my action 4
Also can same my audio settings for all the videos...
Only one Mic Mini on the Action 4
It sounds better with the receiver. Deeper and less hissy
Interesting! I didn’t notice any real difference. Thanks for the input.
@@ttl_channel I watch RUclips on my stereo tv setup. You can tell
dont you have dropout like me with OA4? ruclips.net/video/kW-wwxohkKA/видео.html
The British man in this video is attractive. I want an intelligent man who is into technology to be my boyfriend
Perfect test🫰
How about connect with insta360 x4 wireless 🤔
Have not fully tested with the X4 yet. I will try to get around to it, but realistically, I am not expecting too much.
Hands down the best no nonsense video i have seen, Channel subscribed🫡
So nice of you - thanks for watching
