I have been looking at videos for this stuff all day and yours has been the most helpful and best designed, Great job!!
When you set them up, can I use them without having a laptop plugged into my Denon DJ Prime 4+ after?
Wow! This is really awesome! Tried it myself with my Hue setup, and I have to say it works really nicely. But currently the Hue lights act as a single big light in SoundSwitch, following the Main Track only (Unless I missed out something). Will it be possible to control each light separately in the future? And if yes, will that be included as part of version 2.x of SoundSwitch?
even when you assign the Hue lights s different "rooms"?
@@armgod1 There is no separate track for Hue, it just follows the master colours.
i hope so too that it will be possible in future.

If i use an Philips Hue entertainment area and sync it to Spotify, it can handle different colors on each lamp. 🤷♂️
So it should be possible and I would appreciate this function very much.
Great tutorial, very well explained! If I integrated philips hue into my DJ sets using sound switch can I take them out as a mobile DJ? Or do the Philips hue lights + bridge require an Internet connection to work the light show?
Wow. I’ve got 75 Philips hue color plus lights around my home. So many I hit the limit on the zigbee protocol so I have to use 2 bridges.

is it possible to have different colors on each hue light ? ex: one play blue and the other play red ...
We will be improving the Philips HUE effects in a future update to include a larger verity of effects.

It seems surprising to me that sounswitch does not do it when simple android applications do it easily (example: Hue Disco or Soundstorm ...).
I therefore look forward to this update.
@@Hellish-Red Don't be surprised, this is just the first version, Philips HUE is only a small part of our feature set, It has nothing to do with Andriod vs desktop etc, its simply a matter for development resource

I was really hoping to go down this road with some built in hue lights but the WiFi is an issue. I connect my laptop to a hot spot or venue WiFi for steaming this will break the WiFi tether between SS and the Bridge. How quick can we get a generic WiFi med strip profile made? I think I’ll be going Goverment or BTF with addressable chips and a DMX controller.

With the Prime 4 is it possible to use SoundSwitch with Philips Hue lighting in standalone mode? Meaning to only use Engine OS (not Serato)? And is a DMX connection needed if you only want to use Philips Hue lighting?

The lights behind him are called the gig bar from ADJ i think or Chauvet. The lights on the desk are the hue lights.

Can you connect the bridge to the laptop by an ethernet cable? The wifi connection is causing performance issues of my serato. I always play in flight mode.
