I currently bought 2 GigBar Move ILS fixtures that I configured based on your fixture selection for US (50 DMX channels), but I did not see any separate track for the laser, am I missing something? How can I set up laser control?
Awesome flexibility. My question is what is contained in each light show file? As a DJ, I have several lighting packages that I sell. If I create a lighting Universe with ALL of my lights (FULL MONTY), will that file still work the same if i only have a few lights (e.g. WASH OUT) or do I have to create a separate configuration for the smaller set? How does the algorithm that creates the light show vary for different "loading" of light fixtures? Is the lighting file linked to the music file? If I have the same music file in different playlists, do I have redo the lighting file? I have the basics for running a light show, but I am going crazy trying to understand the relationships between light files and music files, and the behavior of lights as created by the algorithm given my configurations. Also, are you planning on having a joystick controller function for setting up the moving heads in the MIDI section? It would be good to be able to shine a spot light on a bridal procession as they come into the reception room.
Hey, So the best way to work is to create multiple "Venues" in SoundSwitch for each of your lighting packages. The AutoScripting will then create lightshows for all of the Venues you have setup. The lightshows will be unique to each lighting setup. The lightshows are linked to the Audio File via a Metadata tag. No you do not need to "redo" the lighting file for each playlist as long as its the same audio file it doesn't matter which playlist its in. We might add "joystick control" in the future but cannot confirm.
@@soundswitch4427 thanks for the follow-up. I have looked at Capture for the visualizer, but this software is way more complex and costly than what I need. Is there a cheaper solution that you would recommend? All I have are 2 Gigbar Move ILS, and 8 Rockville Mini RF-4 lights. Do you support the RF-4 lights?
hi if i create new project add some fixtures and a track, then save it all is well. BUT when i try to open the project there is no file to load, only a folder. So i lose the work and can;t load it. I just downloaded the software on 21/Jan/23 and have version 2.6 on Win10 Am I doing something worng?
the only thing that i changed was to work from folders that are not synced to drop box, one drive etc. overall this software is too complicated to figure out and too time consuming to use once you do. i’m looking at maestro dmx and ailightshow to find a solution to good-enough light shows without massive time investment.
@@MatthiasMandl yeah, you have to save lightshow not save project. The lighting is saved to the audio that you drag in. It’s not ideal for musicians. We’re switching over to qlab. We got it to work and it was great in the meantime.
@@MatthiasMandl the main thing that is rubbish about it is once you program the lights to that audio, you can’t change the audio. I would be much better if they built an option where you could swap out the audio but keep the same lighting ques. Qlab you can change everything out at a later date and keep the same ques, you can also tell it to run into new songs, have markers, add video projection to it and many other features. SoundSwitch is too basic for our setup now but it was good to start out with. Hope it works for you.
Does each "Project" store the configuration of all the settings... Autoloops, venues, fixtures, cogwheel settings, moving head settings, gobos, etc.?
May I know how much is the hardware and where can i buy?
So exciting! Thanks Matt!

Do you have attribute cues?
@@mafeetaritchie6927 Yes I have set these AC’s in the app.

Why does it show 0.0 kb at export ? 👎🏻
every time i open a saved project I get a blank canvas ,every thing is lost, just like you showed ?
I have this too. Have you had any response to this? I need to be able to save my light shows.

Regret buying both, sound switch as well as Prime 4
Sound switch is nothing but disaster so fat, not able to save hours of work neither export!!!
did you ever get an answer?
Hours lost…. USELESS
