Gary's passing left a great void in mine and dare i say millions of people's life's.

Gary was without a doubt the greatest guitarist that ever walked this earth.
I was fortunate enough to be at this concert. The whole concert was a tribute to Peter Green and his music. It was also to promote the Blues For Greeny album.
Not only was Gary using his guitar that used to belong to Peter Green, but sitting at the side of the stage to Gary's right (left as we look at it), was in fact Peter Green himself. At that time Peter had become a total recluse for many many years, with some mental issues, but he had agreed to attend this concert and Gary brought Peter on to the stage at the end. The other thing that one must remember is that it was Peter Green who was largely responsible for bringing Gary to England from Ireland and for getting Skid Row (Gary's band at the time) a record deal with CBS.
I really believe that this event helped Peter to "come back" and form The Splinter Group!

Same guitar was used in both versions, even though the Fleetwood Mac video showed Peter using a Fender Strat. Not the first time live video was synced with a studio recording.
Thank you for featuring this beautiful song by two of my favorite artists. It's a shame that the video of Peter cut off before the guitar solo, but be assured that his guitar solo was every bit as souful as Gary's. It's impossible for me to say which intrepretation I like more. Peter's version is stripped down and soulful He sings and plays with so much emotion. But Gary was amazing, plus the orchestra was a nice touch. I think i prefer Peters vocals by just a hair. Both of these genius artists performed with such feeling, and sadly both died much too early. Rest in Peace dear souls 💔

That is actually a Peter Green owned Les Paul guitar named Greeny. Kirk Hamett of Metallica owns it now. A one million dollar plus guitar.

Neither of the Classic Rock stations I grew up listening to every played Gary Moore so I only discovered him a few years ago through RUclips Reaction Channels. So far there is not one song I haven't liked - same with Rory Gallagher
