I always find it interesting how women generally think life doesn't begin until you're married, as opposed to men thinking life ends with marriage.

I’m a happily married woman of 21 years, and I can tell that she is tired and bored in her marriage. She probably does all the house keep by herself. And I bet her husband does not have fun with her and her family. I feel bad for her. I wish women would marry the man that loves to be with them and loves doing things with them. A man who understands alone time. Marry your best friend, and make sure he considers you his best friend too. She is tired cause her marriage is simply not a good one. I get hated on for enjoying my family and enjoying travelling and having fun with my own husband. Apparently, being married should look like this woman. Sad 🤷🏽‍♀️😞

@@sg5720 I'm not sure what the "Apparently, being married should look like this woman." means, but I think everyone thinks that being married should look like your life. It's just sad that it just as often looks like what this woman is experiencing.

And I met my spouse when I was 18, and I told him, point blank, that I wouldn't be turning into his maid or mother, just because I'm a woman. And I told him that I was my own full person, not someone's "other/better half", thank you very much 😅

Patriarchy told women that our only sole purpose is to be wife and mother, that's the only time women are seen as being "worth" something...
This is why many women believed life only starts once you're married and have kids, being single meant simply just existing.
It's also the reason why it's so easy for married women to lose their identify, heck some didn't even have an identity before because they never actually got to explore and get to know themselves.
And one day some of these women wake up years later, bored, burnt out, feeling like they cater to everybody but nobody caters to them, feeling like they never really got to know themselves, etc...
    It's quite sad🥺
Ladies please live, be in the moment, romance yourselves, follow your dreams, invest in your mental health, explore new hobbies, also don't wait until you've hit a milestone to be happy, create your own happiness, find joy in the journey not just the end game, dont just exist, life's too short to NOT be living❤

Guess who put that system in place?
That is why GENERATIONS of men and women believe that a woman belongs in the home.
Also why a large number of grown men bully and ridicule childfree and single by choice women, talking about "they're useless to society".
You say women are living their lives for themselves, um, have you forgotten that women had to fight to live a life they wanted??
And guess why women had to fight?
Oh right, men had all power and all say and were deemed superior and all knowing, so only they knew what both men and women wanted and what their life purpose was.
Also no the patriarchal structure is NOT just held up by women it's held up by BOTH...

Many women feel they have arrived once they were married. They soon learn that they are at a stand still and their husband’s are living their best life without them. The issue isn’t marriage The issue is who you marry and what marriage looks like to them. Girls are focused on the dress shoes venue cost of the wedding etc Very little focus on the actual marriage that lies ahead What does marriage entail for you and does that match your partner’s view of marriage. Less focus on a fantasy and more focus on what you are looking for long term

Didn’t really even give a shit about men like that.. I just literally lucked up on meeting my person..Too be honest I had settled in my mind that I would settle in with my cat.. The question then becomes why did she believe her younger years were just placeholder years? It’s what women were taught in the 90s.
Now that we’re older, times have changed and women are allowed to say that things aren’t what society told her it was going to be. It was the same thing when women that grew up in the 50s/60s saw young women in the 80s/90s. We had more knowledge, as it were, and more freedoms and they felt that same envy and jealousy. The only difference between then and now is that most women from the 50s/60s wouldn’t admit that they had a level of jealousy back then. If you speak to them now they’ll speak more freely.
I’ve heard many women in their 80s and 90s say that they wish they had had the knowledge and freedom we have now back then. That they would have made different choices and their lives would have been so different.

Well… as a single, childfree woman, it’s very hard to have even a little bit of sympathy for women like her. There is absolutely nothing wrong with marriage, relationships, etc. However, society glorifies these things and rather than being honest about all that goes into maintaining a marriage, let alone a relationship, people jump into relationships with rose colored, glasses on while being stuck on the fairy tale of “happily ever after”! I feel like these are the same women who on one hand, regurgitate red pill, talking points and perpetuate pick me, behavior but on the other hand, start to feel regretful once they realize that marriage isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. Society makes single hood and wanting to be alone seem like a curse.

It's just wrong to expect people to have a perfect, full, complete understanding of what X is like until they lived it. I spent many single years reading about marriage, talking to married people, thinking through married topics. My husband and I had a lot of talks before marriage about things. And still a LOT of things took me by surprise. Not because I was ignorant and ill informed but because I was inexperienced. Please don't believe the common myth that you can completely prepare for and understand a brand new life experience so that nothing about it surprises you.
