      Idk how urs got round 😭 I got scared mines will be round after reading this but it wasn’t round. It obviously wasn’t perfect tho. But it was a beginner one!

      Oh I might know, so when I started it, the groups of 3 dc in the first ring were close together. So I just used my fingers to slide the groups of 3 dc apart into a + shape. But originally it was like a straight line of 3 dc (dc = double crochet)

      Haha, I’m on my fourth go, I don’t know how, but mine ended up like a little hat 😂. Have no idea how I made it but it’s actually quite pretty 🤩 although nothing like the square. I am gonna put the dinner on and come back and concentrate properly haha

    When i learned to crochet,i self-taught, instead of the way you are doing it here, i chain 3 at the end of a row, turn, then work the next row from the back, and so on, front, back. Im sure you are correct but it's so hard for me to do it your way! 🤣

    After trying to make countless granny squares through watching u-tube videos, I finally did it thanks to your video! The difference between your video and the others is that you take us step by step in a slow, (but not too slow) and steady manner. The other videos may start out slow, but they quickly progress to a very fast pace that is frustrating and confusing. Thanks and keep it up!

    When I try to make the granny square it curled up
    Can you help me fix this?
    Thank you

    • @emmasharkey3777
      @emmasharkey3777 3 года назад +1

      It's been four years but usually if it is curling that means your stitching is too tight! Pick a bigger size hook (I like a 5.0 mm) and loosen the stitching. You shouldn't have any resistance when entering a new stitch. A lot of projects will curl anyways no matter how loose the stitch, but this can be fixed by ironing or laying out flat or connecting with other squares.
