To all who teach us i deeply thank you from my very soul.
How did you even hit those perfectly every time?? That's crazy talent, and it was super satisfying , thanks for the video !
Kathryn Curtis haha thanks for connecting and thank you! After 21 years in the biz you start to get it but I do still smash the occasional baseboard lol
So, I have some tack strips without the arrows showing which should face the wall. The tacks are kind of curved, which side should face the wall ?
Kathryn Curtis hey hey, if the tac strips do not have the arrows to show direction install the strips with the tacs pointed towards the wall. This is how the carpet will be held in place when you stretch on your room
Thanks for connecting!
You really are the coolest kid on the block , thanks so much ! ❤
@@CarpetExpertBlueprint Hey, how do you know my wife (aka. Angst V, there 🙄) is called Kathryn Curtis - talk about hitting the nail on the head; sure you only (just) do lay carpets, on the job???
thanks man! easy and simple!
Wow, listen to the reverb in that room.
If you could bottle that you’d make a fortune.
That’s a pretty precise hammer
Should have taken off the 3/4 round molding first. In fact, it's not needed after the carpet is laid. Just sayin.
Im about to have my part of the room sounding like yours now!!!
HAMMER OF THOR!
So how will you hide the carpet ends since there is no room under that baseboard? 🤔
That’s where he screwed up
Can i install the molding after the tack and the carpet??
Amazing hammer skills.
so remodeling an older home, currently doesnt have base boards laid down. Will this effect laying carpet down? Should i install base boards first or?
@NBOYD I would put in carpet first then baseboard.
This guy should of cut under the baseboards to shove the carpet under it.
How does one find out if their carpeting is tacks or tack strips?
Can i use grippers through a doorway??? I'll the add the door strip on top?
Southwestuk for sure if your doorway is transitioning to a hard surface flooring
Thanks
Did Mr. Miyagi teach you that shit? Dang!
He said don’t hit the baseboard 😅 that’s easy for you to say 😂
Decent hammering skills
why is quarter round on before the flooring
So do give it space from the wall???
Right! Where is the information in this video? Spacing from wall/baseboard for what type of carpet. NO HELP!
Stan Rodgers just far enough away from the wall where the carpet can tuck snug not too much not too littlrc
He said about a finger spacing or 1/4 inch from the base board
@@Stan_in_Shelton_WA literally said at the beginning of the video
Human nail gun!
Why would you leave the baseboard on. This is very unprofessional
I checked a lot of handbooks with woodworking plans. Instructions from woodprix are the best I think.
To one hit the nails is not really necessary lol
It takes experience to hit nails like that. Tack strips or roofing nails or whatever. Nice job !
always put our baseboards on after you install carpet.😵
It can be beneficial to put up the base boards first so that if you ever want to change the carpet it will have adequate spacing
Uhhh.. this is not new construction. Base board is already there
