I love your honesty. This is life. I am a tidy person. But I'm also human. It was a lot of pressure on me when people came over and I felt like the house had to be perfect. Just because I'm tidy doesn't mean that I never have a mess. I think I need to go clean my fridge now. Thank you for this video.
I saw that jar of Veganase there Melissa, if you didn't want it you should have sent it to me! XD I like having a nice clean fridge too, though mine is older some of the stains are set but at least its organized, no science experiments here!
We run a production company, a cleaning products company and a cleaning services company - so it's pretty full time for all of us :) Thanks for watching!
P.S. As a personal concierge & owner of a cleaning co., I'll also share a couple additional refrigerator tips: * If we wipe the frig. regularly -- clean the spills & smudges when we see them -- then there will be less of a mess to tackle later on. * Most manufacturers suggest that we should NEVER over-stuff our refrigerators. This is a common problem. If too much food is inside, the compressor has to work extra hard, which could lead to functionality issues. Also, if over-stuffed, the cold air will not circulate as well as it should, possibly causing issues with food storage. * Regularly check the frig. settings to make sure they are at the correct temperature (sometimes, the temp. lever can be bumped and changed by mistake on certain models). Best wishes to everyone! :)

You are supposed to clean them and remove labels and caps, but a lot of people don’t. Which is bad because I heard that when they do not meet those “requirements” they are discarded in the facility and not recycled. I don’t know how true that is, but they do say you should clean them.

Thank you for posting this! It motivated me to clean my fridge out for the first time in many months...it took just over 3 hours, I had 2 full trash bags and 6 full grocery bags of expired or unwanted food to throw away, and I went through 4 microfiber cloths...it was well worth it, because now I can actually see what's in my fridge! The part about looking for any "stuff" that you haven't used in awhile really helped me mentally to get over the "I'll keep this food item just in case I need it" block that had been keeping me from taking the plunge and cleaning it. Also the 3 wave system is a life saver because it breaks it down in to such manageable chunks. Thanks again!!!
I do mine in waves too, but I do it differently for two reasons 1) I don't want to run out of steam mid way through and 2) I don't like some refrigerated items sitting out (aka: I don't like my hands getting too cold)... Here's the way I do it 1) leaving everything in the fridge I go through and pull out what needs to be thrown away/recycled - close the fridge and clean out jars, etc. 2) go back in and organized what I want where on what shelves. 3) remove items off the shelf and clean the shelves from the top down - closing the door in between. I also like to pull the drawers out and clean them with soapy water. Taadaa! Either way, it gets the fridge clean!!! :) Great videos!

that all purpose cleaner do u need to rinse the surface after using or just wiping it down is enough. I am thinking about giving it a try but not sure about using dish soap.
I don't rinse, but if you are not comfortable, you can use castile soap, or do a rinse afterward. It's pretty gentle stuff, but to what you feel good with!
I take the opportunity to clean the lids and caps on all my condiments, etc... while cleaning the fridge. I hate opening ketchup or mustard and finding dried up yuck all over the tops😖. Just curious from start to finish how long did it take you to do that because you were in fast forward you moving back and forth moving back and forth just wondering? Thank you appreciate your video God bless you and your family.
I think you should do a video on kitchen setups. I know that there has to be a logical way to set up a kitchen for functionality rather than just putting stuff in the first drawer or cabinet available. My other idea is a video on spices and how long to keep, replace and expirations. How, when or should they be rotated? Do they get stale? Should any of them be kept in the fridge rather than the cabinet? What about the proximity to the heat source (cabinets or counters next to or above the stove)? These are questions that I have always wondered about and have asked people about, but no one has ever had an answer. I love your channel.

ever thought of doing a "how to clean your vacuum" I know I just cleaned mine and it was gross!! I never thought my house was that dirty and it actually made the vacuum work better!!
How many times should I clean my refrigerator?? I usually clean it when something spells 🤔. My mom would clean it every time we went to the market. Thanks
You should add a step: Turn down/off the temperature settings while the doors are open, it should save energy and reduce the compressor from running. Of course, remember to add a step: Set temperature setting once down cleaning.
Loved your comments and action on the bin/sink. But then, after putting it all the contents in the garbage can, how to clean it? Do you have a video on how to clean the garbage can?
When buying a new fridge / freezer remember to read online reviews and pay attention to "Easy To Clean?" evaluations. I didn't with my last one and had issues with a couple of crevices in the bottom of the fridge which could not be reached into and welled up with grime over time. I read old reviews later and found this was a common complaint regarding the appliance. Now I always prioritise "easy to clean" when I consider buying new appliances.
I can attest that yes, there are hungry children in Africa (I'm one of them!), so try to avoid food wastage in future :) Shop with a shopping list, save the adventurous eating for restaurants, and plan meals ahead so that you are sure to use up everything before it goes off! It's better for the environment, and hopefully the extra food can go to someone in need next time.
Hi, good job, Melissa/Clean My Space. I have my own company, as well. As a personal concierge, I include detailed cleaning & organization. Just a friendly suggestion: :) A lot of extra time was spent trying to wipe down the drawers & shelves. They really aren't that hard to put back, however, if that is a concern, then yes, just wipe them down while they're inside the frig. Otherwise, it's faster & more effective if the drawers are washed in the sink. Let them drip dry while you wipe the shelves, then give them a quick dry w/cloth before replacing them inside frig. If not, people will take a lot of extra time trying to get food particles out of the corners & they won't be that clean. In addition, remember to wipe under the drawers & under the shelves on the frig. door (if you didn't pull them out). And yes, always check for dated food & use it or toss it ASAP. Best wishes on a happy you with a clean kitchen. :) Aloha!
I like this video! I always organize my fridge with some tray with handle, because I'm short and I can't easily reach to shelf of top. use trays as drawer is much easy to organize and pickup the stuff!
This is great advice and instruction & I'm off to clean mine....Our city doesn't allow glass in our recycle anymore which blows so I keep any reusable jars but have to trash the rest🙁😰
Clean My Space there is a depot for bottles that you can drop them off or else it's garbage... city used to accept glass in blue box but they changed that 😒
Great vid! Will use all your tips. My tip: just have a smaller fridge! If you can shop every 7-10 days and don't eat much from jars and cans, go minimal! The stores will do the storing for you... I power up my smaller dorm fridge for parties or guest days
Hi, just want to share with you. When I open a jar/ package th? at needs refrigeration I use a permanant black marker and date it with the days date that its seal is broken. Once a product is opened that expiration date is shortened.
I have 2 lazy-susan style trays on the top shelf of my fridge, they allow me to see what is in the back of the shelf by just turning the lazy-susan tray. Also, they are easy to clean up.
Do you not rinse out the jars & bottles that go in the recycle? We have to clean, or at least rinse, everything in the county where I live. Was just curious 😉
Ha you haven’t even seen mine, there’s spilled syrup and sticky shit all over that gets on other stuff and the side of our fridge (the railing sort of thing that holds the sauces in the shelf) is broken so it’s being held with duct tape
I always ended up double stocking things I already have in the fridge or somethings would end up deep enough for me to forget abt them, ultimately spoiling away to glory. So I started making a list of everything I have in the fridge and I stick that list on the fridge. This helps me save food and not waste stuff I have.
Looks great, Melissa! My refrigerator is pretty clean, but I did have to spend time going through veggies, bagging them, etc. this weekend. Now it looks more organized. :)
Yes I have to do this this weekend. My favorite is, "When did I buy this"?! I already found to bottles of ketchup. I've been putting it off for a month now, so it's time to do it this weekend. I have nothing else going on, so I have no excuse

I use a vinegar and water spray when cleaning out the fridge. Non toxic.
I can attest that yes, there are hungry children in Africa (I'm one of them!), so try to avoid food wastage in future :) Shop with a shopping list, save the adventurous eating for restaurants, and plan meals ahead so that you are sure to use up everything before it goes off! It's better for the environment, and hopefully the extra food can go to someone in need next time.
lol, first video I saw totally helped me out (how to clean wooden floor) a long time ago. Now I see you're back to help. Thanks again!
lol - it's good to be back!
Clean My Space Next thing I know, I'm cleaning out my closet🎵Lol
Hi, good job, Melissa/Clean My Space. I have my own company, as well. As a personal concierge, I include detailed cleaning & organization.
Just a friendly suggestion: :)
A lot of extra time was spent trying to wipe down the drawers & shelves.
Smart! Glad you liked the video :)
Thank you - just in the middle of the job and its great watching some one else do it.
When the cloth gets yucky assuming you use another one? How many microfiber cloths do you use for the kitchen and per room?
I really love this channel :) Always super good for calming stress and anxiety
Thanks very much for the kind words Sarah!!
Thanks for being so real and open! Loved this video
This is great advice and instruction & I'm off to clean mine....Our city doesn't allow glass in our recycle anymore which blows so I keep any reusable jars but have to trash the rest🙁😰
So what do you do? Garbage? With glass? Eee...
Hi Melissa how do you clean the stainless steel on your refrigerator?
Thanks for keeping me company!
did all this last weekend - what an eye opener!!!
Hi, just want to share with you. When I open a jar/ package th? at needs refrigeration I use a permanant black marker and date it with the days date that its seal is broken. Once a product is opened that expiration date is shortened.
actually around thankgiving i cleaned, etc out the fridge though we used (taped) wax paper in the drawers.
that works too!
Good video!I turn the inside temperature control off when i do that.
That's a good idea!
My fur baby looks just like yours :) Love when she pops into the videos!
Do you recommend fridge liners
What about cleaing out your purse, gym bag, or work bag?
We have that coming up!! Stay tuned :)
Amazing!!!!!
Do u have a video on how to make your all purpose cleaner?
ruclips.net/video/uwa3f3ghBro/видео.html
I have 2 lazy-susan style trays on the top shelf of my fridge, they allow me to see what is in the back of the shelf by just turning the lazy-susan tray. Also, they are easy to clean up.
What a great way to stay organized! Thanks pepsusan!!
Do you not rinse out the jars & bottles that go in the recycle? We have to clean, or at least rinse, everything in the county where I live. Was just curious 😉
Love the video!!! Going to clean my refrigerator now. Love your Siamese cat!!!
Love the realistic fridge!!
I liked the idea of putting the oily items in a baggy and tossing. Great👍
Thanks - glad you like it!
anyone knows if that all-purpose cleaner's DIYed ? of yes then what is it made of please?
Boy my recycle place will not take that stuff not cleaned out wow ! Will guess I am off to go clean the frig . Thanks as always for the motivation .
1:00 - needs a hola-hoop for completion
what is allpoopos cleaner tho? better than a soda mix?
Did you unplug it or flip the breaker? Is Seventh Generation hard surface cleaner okay?
You do everything in a really awesome manner😃
Ha you haven’t even seen mine, there’s spilled syrup and sticky shit all over that gets on other stuff and the side of our fridge (the railing sort of thing that holds the sauces in the shelf) is broken so it’s being held with duct tape
saw your video in the nick of time, cleaning my stove and fridge tomorrow. 😃 like i said you never disappoint 👍
I always ended up double stocking things I already have in the fridge or somethings would end up deep enough for me to forget abt them, ultimately spoiling away to glory. So I started making a list of everything I have in the fridge and I stick that list on the fridge. This helps me save food and not waste stuff I have.
I like that your drawers can move back and forth
It was a cool selling feature for the fridge!
Cleaned my fridge today after Shiva knows when. Looks so nice!
Great video! Could you show a freezer cleaning video please?
Yes, we have added that to our list :)
Clean My Space Great, thanks! 👍
What did you use for the all purpose cleaner to clean fridge?
