When I searched for support settings I found a bunch of click bait garbage. Then I found your video which actually shows examples and settings. Fantastic. The internet is filled with so much rubbish these days :(

Just printed my first self supported model on my A1, and the supports worked and came off perfectly. Huge thanks to the person who made the profile and you for making this video to get the word out.
I've been sending everyone on the Bambu Lab Facebook page here for model and figure supports because DANG do these settings make for clean models! Thank you!
Thanks for this video. I am new (a few days) to 3d printing and I have been looking at a bunch of video's trying to find better ways to use support. A lot of the videos are quite long. For me, they go way to deep into the history of the world and why stuff works the way it does and where the idea came from and which came first, etc. My point is, all I wanted was the settings and you did that. So thank you! I don't mean to dog on the other folks that go in way deep on the stuff, but THIS is all I wanted. Now I will try these settings and make my own opinion.
Thank you for sharing, i've been pulling my hair out trying to get nice clean break-away tree supports. Do you happen to have updated settings for Orca Slicer 2.1.1 ? Thanks!
@@Rexlernah it’s not there in advanced settings either. Tbf to the above commentor, none of the settings would be visible if they hadn’t checked advanced settings. 😂😂 🤦🏻♂️
Just wanted to stop by, printed an inspired by Halo M6G Mag last night and used your tree settings. Everything was perfect and snapped off without effort. Didn't even cut myself once, lol! Breaks were clean off of the model as well. Thank you!
Thanks for this. I appreciate any help. Unfortunately, my supports went from hard to remove to impossible with these settings. Back to the drawing board.
just found this page about support and, although some of the parameter names have changed, I have set what I can in the latest Bambu studio and the results are amazing. using a 0.2 nozzle with basic filament I am not getting near perfect mini figures with little to no scaring at all
Bro, these settings work very good on my P1S with PLA and also PETG, which I didn't expect at all. I also used the normal Support, because it sometimes was necessary...great recommendation, thank you!
I would love some help dialing in settings for 3d printing small minis. It seems to either be incredibly difficult to remove ripping off or scaring small parts. or so weak it cannot hold things like hands that start mid-air
I’ve had some issues with tree support coming unstuck when the tree gets tall. The nozzle sometimes catches the top of the tree when tall and rips it off the plate. Is there a way to make the brim around the base of it bigger? Thanks, I’m new and still learning.
@@He_Fly I made these changes which seemed to help. Under “others” increased Brim width to surround tower brim. Under “support” set threshold angle to “15”. Tree support brim width to “20”. Support wall loops to “2”. Tree support branch distance “5mm”. Tree support diameter “2mm”. Tree support branch angle “60”. With these settings, I have not experienced them coming loose.

These are fantastic settings, can you do an update for the latest version of Orca? it seems many available settings have been removed or renamed. Thanks in advance!
Is it just me or does default settings for bambu x1c suck? I've had one print where it was successful and a small handful that were unsuccessful. I feel like it's the large areas where it struggles.

Subscribed. Newer Bambu Studio seems to have removed Bottom Interface Spacing. I assume it's 0 now, or is there a different place for this?

This is such a great video to come back too.. i keep forgetting to save my settings lmao
"Tree support wall loops" isn't visible in the current version of Orca, or could it be hidden by another setting?
apparently he doesnt answer questions
hybrid tree supports are the ones that allow you put wall loops
Do you recommend these same settings if you're printing at .20mm?
Thanks for this. I appreciate any help. Unfortunately, my supports went from hard to remove to impossible with these settings. Back to the drawing board.
change Top Z distance to 0.3mm
I think it'd be helpful to delve into WHAT exactly each of these options are that you are changing. Otherwise, thanks for the great vid!
I followed your numbers in your slicer for supports identically and my tree supports are adhered to my object. I can not get them off!!! Please help!
Same problem wasted a half of s roll of filament and they're welded to my print
Would these settings be the same if you were using a 0.6 nozzle?
Amazing!!!! thanks for share your knowledge!!!!
About to test your settings after cutting my hand on a massive area of tiny tress HA!
Ouch! I hope they help. Best of luck!

would of been nice to see the model with the supports breaking away
and the settings in a printables cube maybe with settings in that file
This is really good feedback. I don’t know why I didn’t think to actually shoot that. I will definitely upload the settings to printables though!

Implemented this in my print. Now it is impossible to remove the supports. Could be a me problem but this didn’t help at all
I tried this. Supports are COMPLETELY fused to the part and cannot be removed.... there goes a 26 hour print.
These settings worked great for months. But now the supports are welded to the print. What do you think happened?
Odd, maybe new filament or the slicer updated?
Top Z distance you have as 0.16 but is this relative to the layer height?

Enable Developer Mode to regain access the required settings.
It might help to actually show what the generated supports look like and how well they peel off. 😕

didnt work for me
