Oh my goodness…you just reminded me of a technique I used to do a long time ago. It’s not the same process but when you were adding the embossing powder to that lovely image, it brought back a memory I had learned from Rachel at Artful Evidence…about 13-14 years ago. She used an ultra thick embossing powder to create a faux cloisonné. It might be something you would like…I don’t believe she is active on RUclips anymore but many of her videos made quite an impression on me and my ephemera making. She was the first one to introduce me to Tim Holtz products..probably 10-12 years ago.
This is so elegant, it is stunning! Thank you for your tutorial. These are fun to make but I completely forgot about them! I made one at a class a couple years ago and then completely forgot about it.
Thank you Barbara I really love this. I love the Art Deco digitals too. I like the Art Deco style, I even live in an apartment in an Art Deco building.
What a beautiful little journal. Art deco is just so pretty. I love the addition of the embossing on the circle. Your work just keeps getting better and better. Thank you, Barbara.
It's an incredibly beautiful kit to work with! I'm definitely using it again sometime. Lol vast collection indeed, so many! Loving the rust effect fabric😍, I'm addicted to rust 🙊. Andrea at artymaze cracked the embossing on purpose and stained the cracks, it looked amazing. We already had mother's day. Great little book. 😍 I'll have to try that binding, I want to try as many as possible🙊. Tfs and have a great day💖💖💖 P.S.Just got some brilliant inspiration from your comment section!
It’s amazing how useful the finger tool is, isn’t it 😁 This is definitely an elegant little journal. Would make a gorgeous sketchbook or watercolour book.
I love this little journal! Had to run over to DCC and get those papers and then see a dozen others this would suit! Lots of little journal gifts this year! Thanks!
So pretty, love the elegant covers. I don't mind sewing, but this is a nice alternative! I have never heard "point" used in imperial measurements, only in metric . "Point", as in the word "decimal", I thought referenced 10ths or multiples of. Inches are always broken into 16ths, so 4 is a quarter, 8 is half... for example. Point seven, did you mean 7/16ths or 7/10ths? I am in Canada, not sure what Austria uses as standard measurements. I am a bit curious🤔. ❤
LG Sabine
