Hey heavy D, long time native of southern Utah here. The rumor I’ve heard is that it got tossed into three lake near kanab. There have been multiple expeditions into it but none have been able to get to the bottom, and allege it’s haunted by Spanish ghosts. The landscape lines up with the maps and evidence available. Maybe check it out!
As someone who grew up in Kanab ut, this is very true, three lakes has always been private property and the last few people who went diving there looking for the gold died in coincidental accidents

Dave my sister has been involved in relief efforts for years She lives in western North Carolina and is at ground zero for this relief effort . She says there are years of rebuilding and the loss of lives as well . The geography in the area makes things where more air support is not as beneficial as people might think and actually can be very dangerous . Cleetus was also only a 3 hr flight away vs an 18 hr cross country trip away. I spoke with him multiple times each day asking if we were needed and even he told us to stand down because he was running out of work to do and ended up going home before we could’ve even arrived

This is awesome! I’ve grown up running cows in the uintahs so I’ve seen a lot of things off of the beaten path (Spanish smelters, carvings in the trees, old filled in mines). I’ve read plenty of stories so it’s exciting to see a series from you guys about it

here's a good tip for y'all... the Spanish were very advanced with hiding techniques most of the time even in caved areas they would actually dig their own hiding spot and build stories and actually go down about 90 ft, and place it under a big tree they marked, so they could rig pulley systems to. they would even booby trap them, usually near a stream or river, so that if someone tried to dig it in an improper way it would actually flood....they would even do this with small one ship groups.. they most def wouldn't hide it in some random cave unless they blew the entrance to completely close and hide it... it 100% wouldn't be in some random open cave... id look for depreciations in the ground, near rivers, and near those symbols on old gone trees those guys were talking about, or a cliff face that has piles of rocks on it that may have a cave behind it if you removed all that... thats where it will be if its there...

What you said is true. People that haven't been through that kind of stuff don't really understand. There has to be order to the chaos or resources and supplies don't get where they need to be. There is some organizations that end up in the way and take valuable money and resources away unintentionly while trying to help Watched you for awhile. I know you would help of feasible. good thoughts about trying to get involved in the hurricane disaster. from afar I saw a lot of you tubers both helping and not really helping too much. but a lot of chaos and hunkering down but out of urgent recovery stuff-but they were getting very good videos with good info at the time would likely have been vital to people involved and those concerned about relatives and friends and such. i think they were getting valuable information out. but overall I think you made the best choice in the circumstances. best of luck to everyone so terribly effected. all the best from an Australian friend.

While I question the quality of your intel (or at least how it's presented here) in light of the thousands of GA missions we flew and the millions of lbs of supplies we delivered to inaccessible areas the work you do all over the west is not to be diminished in anyway! Our local blackhawks flew hundreds of successful missions and quite literally saved hundreds of lives in the process working hand-in-hand with local, state, and federal officials.
I have been hearing these stories for 45 year's i believe the church found the treasure along time ago but I'll watch everything about the uintas that i can i love those mountains and that's where my ashes will be scattered when the time comes.

There is an old mine up water canyon near Salem Utah that has ptroglyphs of pack animals going into the cave empty and leaving the cave full. There also used to be a smelter nearby, but it has been ravaged by time and people. The cave was either filled in or caved in, but the petroglyphs are still visible. Further up the canyon my father found the remains of a native American buried under a rock slide. What he found was donated to BYU. There is also another Spanish mine on top of the canyon. I have an uncle in Vernal that has spent quite a bit of time searching that area for Carre-Shin-Ob. Not too far from his house are petroglyphs and other symbols. Unfortunately old Spanish symbols that have been placed on rocks and trees have either been cut down or removed by other people either to prevent others from finding treasure, or to decorate their house with a "cool rock".
I live here in utah and didnt know the history of the spanish being in Uinta. fascinates me to hear there might be lost treasure up there. cant wait to see what you guys find!

I love how you have embraced Allen and brought him along with you on these exploring trips. He's my favorite. When I lived in Westcliffe, Colorado, There was a story told of men getting caught in a snowstorm while exploring the Sangre de Cristo Mountains just West of Westcliffe Co. They took shelter in a cave. While in the cave, they found human skeletons and gold bars. They loaded up what they could carry, and when the storm ended, they took the gold to Westcliffe. The bars were worth some 900 dollars a piece at the time. But they could never find the cave again because of the snow changing the landmarks. The gold being made into bars suggested that it was mined by the Spanish also.

And we know that the Rhodes mined gold for the Mormon church in the early days of the church. Plus there were many other finds of gold over the years. Thanks so much. Dave I just left from Asheville Old Fort chimney Rock bat cave. There are a bunch of places that have washed out the bridges and roads completely. The one area I think you could really help some people in. Is in the military equipment field. They need Bridges they need a quick military-style come in set a bridge up where these people can access to get help there's plenty of places still taking supplies by horseback and side-by-side. Your buddy Hunter is right there in the midst of it

Very interesting story, but it just makes me think if I were to hide gold underground, I would cover the entrance and have a landslide over it. They need to start looking from the inside somehow because you’re not gonna see signs on the surface.

I’ve been researching this as well for the past couple years, and have been out looking for it in the Uintah’s on multiple occasions. I’ve been obsessed with it, to say the least. The Uintah’s is an interesting area with lots of secrets. I’d love to help out with the search! If you get a chance, come out to the Moon Lake Gathering next year. Each year the Uintah treasure stories are re-told, and they even took us out on hikes to see locations around Moon Lake.

As far as helping goes, you are right. My experience 4 days ago I was turned away with a load of supplies and was told that FEMA is blocking help trying to deliver supplies. They have basically hijacked the supply chain and demand that the victims come to them and apply for the food and services or they don’t get it. Very upsetting.
My uncle spent some time re searching caleb rhodes and the Spanish gold legends he showed me around some interesting areas around there. I look forward to this series!!

You know, that absolutely is a calm and level-headed way of looking at it! It's just sad that our federal government has and still is dropping the ball! We had a major tornado in our state and thousands of people flocked there to help and it just created chaos like you said. You have to let the dust settle. Myself and friends have been searching for the musgrove gang treasure along the cache la Poudre river in Colorado. We had to change our way of thinking and that is you have to hide it where others can't find it yet be able to access it easily at any time. When it's in a mine you have to look at it the same way. Right under your nose situation. Good luck guys!
Logistically speaking, your assets were pretty far away to have been immediately useful IMHO. I noticed Garrett Mitchell managed to get up there from the Tampa area in his little chopper and do some good, but others were being turned away by government officials because these "volunteers" didn't fit into their master plan. One private chopper pilot was threatened with arrest if he went back up the mountain to rescue anyone else. Ridiculous. You do plenty for the folks on your side of the country, I don't think anyone thinks any less of you for not going all in on these last two storms in the Southeast.
One of the things to consider is uncontrolled flight paths and terrain. Would kind of suck if you were up there in your little bird, fly around a mountain and suddenly there's a Chinook bearing down on you at 150mph....
@@mfree80286 I can understand the safety aspect of not wanting unknown people flying their helicopters all over the place without a safety and flight plan in place so you don't have any serious accidents with choppers flying into each other, but you would have thought that the more people who show up to help the better especially with helicopters.
Weather weapons with help of nexrad directing the storms while the damns opened up flooding the mountains before the rainfall ever came. Billions of dollars in those mountains worth of lithium and the purest quartz on the planet! It's a land grab and Dave too cowardly or greedy to care. I'm here on ground zero, I know the game and fema and our military are doing nothing!
I find it interesting how every region has their own hypotheses of where the gold might be stashed. Down here in Southern Utah, there's a lot of speculation that it was hidden out somewhere in the Staircase past or around Kanab. It sure would be interesting if anyone ever found it, but who knows where it actually was left behind, if it was taken with them, or if it's just a legend. Still a fun one to entertain, nonetheless!

I also dont think there is a ton of gold. where did they get the equipment? we know who mined where and they had supplies and equipment. if you're exploring on horseback, you're not really equipped for mining huge quantity of anything. and it was refined? with what? magic?

I swam in Three Lakes as a teenager before it got closed down. That middle lake has always fascinated me.

Hats off to Cleetus for taking a newly rebuild chopper he got from Venezuela, and flew it straight to NC to help victims.

here's a good tip for y'all... the Spanish were very advanced with hiding techniques most of the time even in caved areas they would actually dig their own hiding spot and build stories and actually go down about 90 ft, and place it under a big tree they marked, so they could rig pulley systems to. they would even booby trap them, usually near a stream or river, so that if someone tried to dig it in an improper way it would actually flood....they would even do this with small one ship groups.. they most def wouldn't hide it in some random cave unless they blew the entrance to completely close and hide it... it 100% wouldn't be in some random open cave... id look for depreciations in the ground, near rivers, and near those symbols on old gone trees those guys were talking about, or a cliff face that has piles of rocks on it that may have a cave behind it if you removed all that... thats where it will be if its there...

What you said is true. People that haven't been through that kind of stuff don't really understand. There has to be order to the chaos or resources and supplies don't get where they need to be. There is some organizations that end up in the way and take valuable money and resources away unintentionly while trying to help Watched you for awhile. I know you would help of feasible. Don't let it bother you. Cleet was asked to go help and he wasn't far away. He didn't just head up there as some assume. You do alot of good.
good thoughts about trying to get involved in the hurricane disaster. from afar I saw a lot of you tubers both helping and not really helping too much. but a lot of chaos and hunkering down but out of urgent recovery stuff-but they were getting very good videos with good info at the time would likely have been vital to people involved and those concerned about relatives and friends and such. i think they were getting valuable information out. but overall I think you made the best choice in the circumstances. best of luck to everyone so terribly effected. all the best from an Australian friend.

While I question the quality of your intel (or at least how it's presented here) in light of the thousands of GA missions we flew and the millions of lbs of supplies we delivered to inaccessible areas the work you do all over the west is not to be diminished in anyway! Our local blackhawks flew hundreds of successful missions and quite literally saved hundreds of lives in the process working hand-in-hand with local, state, and federal officials.
I've always loved Utah. My family has been going since the early 60's. Keep exploring.

There is an old mine up water canyon near Salem Utah that has ptroglyphs of pack animals going into the cave empty and leaving the cave full. There also used to be a smelter nearby, but it has been ravaged by time and people. The cave was either filled in or caved in, but the petroglyphs are still visible. Further up the canyon my father found the remains of a native American buried under a rock slide. What he found was donated to BYU. There is also another Spanish mine on top of the canyon.
I have an uncle in Vernal that has spent quite a bit of time searching that area for Carre-Shin-Ob. Not too far from his house are petroglyphs and other symbols. Unfortunately old Spanish symbols that have been placed on rocks and trees have either been cut down or removed by other people either to prevent others from finding treasure, or to decorate their house with a "cool rock".

I love how you have embraced Allen and brought him along with you on these exploring trips. He's my favorite. When I lived in Westcliffe, Colorado, There was a story told of men getting caught in a snowstorm while exploring the Sangre de Cristo Mountains just West of Westcliffe Co. They took shelter in a cave. While in the cave, they found human skeletons and gold bars. They loaded up what they could carry, and when the storm ended, they took the gold to Westcliffe. The bars were worth some 900 dollars a piece at the time. But they could never find the cave again because of the snow changing the landmarks. The gold being made into bars suggested that it was mined by the Spanish also.

I think a problem about these modern days is that a lot of these treasures were already found but the people that found them kept it secret for obvious reasons.

Dave I just left from Asheville Old Fort chimney Rock bat cave. There are a bunch of places that have washed out the bridges and roads completely. The one area I think you could really help some people in. Is in the military equipment field. They need Bridges they need a quick military-style come in set a bridge up where these people can access to get help there's plenty of places still taking supplies by horseback and side-by-side. Very interesting story, but it just makes me think if I were to hide gold underground, I would cover the entrance and have a landslide over it. They need to start looking from the inside somehow because you’re not gonna see signs on the surface.

I’ve been researching this as well for the past couple years, and have been out looking for it in the Uintah’s on multiple occasions. I’ve been obsessed with it, to say the least. The Uintah’s is an interesting area with lots of secrets. I’d love to help out with the search! If you get a chance, come out to the Moon Lake Gathering next year. Each year the Uintah treasure stories are re-told, and they even took us out on hikes to see locations around Moon Lake.

As far as helping goes, you are right. My experience 4 days ago I was turned away with a load of supplies and was told that FEMA is blocking help trying to deliver supplies. They have basically hijacked the supply chain and demand that the victims come to them and apply for the food and services or they don’t get it. Very upsetting.
My uncle spent some time re searching caleb rhodes and the Spanish gold legends he showed me around some interesting areas around there. I look forward to this series!!

You know, that absolutely is a calm and level-headed way of looking at it! It's just sad that our federal government has and still is dropping the ball! We had a major tornado in our state and thousands of people flocked there to help and it just created chaos like you said. You have to let the dust settle. Myself and friends have been searching for the musgrove gang treasure along the cache la Poudre river in Colorado. We had to change our way of thinking and that is you have to hide it where others can't find it yet be able to access it easily at any time. When it's in a mine you have to look at it the same way. Right under your nose situation. Good luck guys!
Logistically speaking, your assets were pretty far away to have been immediately useful IMHO. I noticed Garrett Mitchell managed to get up there from the Tampa area in his little chopper and do some good, but others were being turned away by government officials because these "volunteers" didn't fit into their master plan. One private chopper pilot was threatened with arrest if he went back up the mountain to rescue anyone else. Ridiculous. You do plenty for the folks on your side of the country, I don't think anyone thinks any less of you for not going all in on these last two storms in the Southeast.
One of the things to consider is uncontrolled flight paths and terrain. Would kind of suck if you were up there in your little bird, fly around a mountain and suddenly there's a Chinook bearing down on you at 150mph....
@@mfree80286 I can understand the safety aspect of not wanting unknown people flying their helicopters all over the place without a safety and flight plan in place so you don't have any serious accidents with choppers flying into each other, but you would have thought that the more people who show up to help the better especially with helicopters.
Weather weapons with help of nexrad directing the storms while the damns opened up flooding the mountains before the rainfall ever came. Billions of dollars in those mountains worth of lithium and the purest quartz on the planet! It's a land grab and Dave too cowardly or greedy to care. I find it interesting how every region has their own hypotheses of where the gold might be stashed. Down here in Southern Utah, there's a lot of speculation that it was hidden out somewhere in the Staircase past or around Kanab. It sure would be interesting if anyone ever found it, but who knows where it actually was left behind, if it was taken with them, or if it's just a legend. Still a fun one to entertain, nonetheless!

I also dont think there is a ton of gold. where did they get the equipment? we know who mined where and they had supplies and equipment. if you're exploring on horseback, you're not really equipped for mining huge quantity of anything. and it was refined? with what? magic?
