Who Could It Be Besides Me! Hello everyone and welcome to my fall essentials list. It involves the best fall boots, the best fall jackets, the best fall sweaters, and the best attempt at my trying to do some solid keywords in the description. Sweater game is on point right here. I agree LL Bean cotton sweaters are great for transition weather and I'm jelly of the RRL flag sweater.

Shirt jackets are great down here in the south. Its rare a winter coat is needed, so it’s a great option on the many 50-60 degree days

I went for the Beaufort rather than the Bedale, and I'm obsessed with the game pocket at the back. Or more accurately, the tote bag, book and iPad pocket. so handy and it's like a nice little secret that I can keep those things while cycling without a rucksack!

Check out the Mountain Pass boots from Danner. Goretex lined and totally waterproof. I love mine! The Mountain Light boots did not fit my feet well for whatever reason, it's a different last. I'm a 9D on the Brannock and wear a 9EE (they only come in one width) for the Mountain Pass. I like them so much I have 2 pairs and I might add a 3rd.
By the way, your channel is amazing. I appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos, it really helps me decide what to buy.

Try and get your hands on a 90s/early 00s Orvis jumper, they are all wool with a super tight weave and the collar and cuffs hold their shape super well

What are your thoughts on pendleton wool flannels. I have 4 board shirts and I haven't worn any other flannel since buying my first. Awesome for an outer layer on those days that start cold and gradually warm up.
Taft Chelsea boots are pretty sweet, about a year into them, leather good year welt and fully waterproof. Looks great and super comfortable

You need to oil your boots man, that adds so much more weatherproofing! I've never had damp feet in my wings but I oil them religiously (ruins the colour sadly). Though you could be lazy and get the goretex lined Redwings instead.

For the LL Bean flannel, americans typically pronounce is as sha-mee, whereas the acadian/maine pronunciation of the flannel is sha-muwah

I just got the Ashby in small. I’m 5’8, 140lbs and it fits great. If you are on the fence and looking at cheaper options, do not go the cheaper route with the walker and hawkes or other off brands It’s 1/4 the price but you will regret it.
First thing I thought of when I saw that ruck sack was stridewise... glad you got it for free. Cheers from Rhode Island via Massachusetts. Also if youre looking for a solid “shirt jacket” try ebay for a milsurp Korean War wool shirt.

I've a Flathead flannel and it is lovely, especially the brushed interior but those buttons are not secure and I've already had to sew one back on.

I ended up buying a couple of sweaters at the dehen factory sale. Couldn’t be happier with them but yeah…you don’t wear them over a short sleeve shirt. Would love to get my hands on one of their lined hoodies!

You should look at storm welted boot, they’re more water resistant than Goodyear. I been looking for some fall jackets…mind reader😳

Yeah man, if you want the water tight seal in the welted boots, you really need to slather on a coating of leather dressing (Pecard?) several times. I hit mine with a blow drier right after because it melts it and seeps deeper into the grain.

I'm surmising from the much lower price it must be lesser materials and/or made overseas, but it would be nice to see someone who knows about that stuff comment on the quality. When you horse riding, and this rain, you open those 2 buttons, pass over the saddle. So the rain fall over the saddle and your ass will not be wet!!!

Still have them! They just aren’t Goretex lined so they don’t hold up past the rubber :/
The Iron Snail That may be because they’re a tumbled leather, that process increases water permeability. I have had great success with my old Bean Boots that are standard leather and no goretex for waterproofness

Help needed. My road cycling husband has no interest in looking good??? It’s taken 25 years to get him into a decent Barbour jacket. He just has a few items that he wears till they are ruined or get mysteriously donated to charity!! How can I get his fashion juices flowing. He’s tall and thin ( for cycling up hills) so things look good on him?? Oh and unfortunately he looks like Sean Gunn from Guardians!!!!
