  • The Seat Altea 5P in this video is powered by a 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine producing 102hp which for an naturally aspirated engine and a 16 year old car are still performing pretty well, being able to hit its top speed with ease. Hitting the top speed from 100kmh (60mph) is with about 20 seconds faster starting in 3rd gear rather than doing a pull from the 5th and last gear.

Cool video! I have experience with this engine 1.6 102 PS - very reliable and rather powerful for 1.6 8v engine! One annoying item is short 5-speed manual: 100 km/h is more than 3000 rpm. And also had 1.4 Turbo 125 PS with 6-speed manual. 1000 km/h about 2500 rpm only.

I would be curious about the consumption, did not drove that car for a long time. Because 102Hp with no turbo could be pretty much work for the engine

Thats only 102Hp, and car weight is about 1320kg.
Its good speed for that heavy car
