Legend has it Brian still hasn’t made it to the ally
And didn’t get the 2 1/2
Jana Gwynn you can respect something and still find some humor in it. Especially when the end result is no loss of life and they saved the adjacent house
A-random-sergal ya, but no one was hurt so no harm in laughing about it afterwards
Jana Gwynn I’d laugh and take it in stride
@@jgwynn3 Yeah and then I’d remember that the word isn’t a “safe space” people are gonna critique you and make fun of you no matter what. So really it’s up to you whether or not you’re gonna let that bother you.
“In the alleyway Brian! Brian! Goddamnit Brian!”
I thought inwas watching Backdraft
Please stop, he was risking his life just to keep these people safe.
Please stop poking fun at them, they were risking their lives to save those houses and stop the fire from spreading to others, the least we can do is show them a little respect
Lol it was a lighthearted joke, don’t take it seriously.
@@gammatheprotobean1541 he was only quoting the video. As a firefighter in training I can tell you a lot of the guys do that stuff to get others attention. Sometimes you need to be stern to get them to listen.
The first chief, his voice makes him sound rude. But he's such a good leader, straight forward orders and a lot of (proved) experience.
Not rude. His voice was comanding and had authority. Something you need when youre chief
Commending that room because if you don’t have a authority it becomes a crapshoot
It’s Jersey! Number one in leading!
New Jersey just sounds like that lol
Sometimes you have to be rude when your in charge. It grabs attention and displays authority if people aren't listening.
Trenton Battalion Chief Dale is a beast. He’s loud but he makes thing move smoothly and I love it!
Id work for him anyday.
He could have a radio communication instead of yelling like that
@@miriotogata5853 Some people are just naturally like that. If it works then no need to fix it
No joke that's the way I remember firefighters and battalion chiefs Conducting themselves aggressive kudos to you battalion chief great job
@@miriotogata5853 yelling gets to the point better think of boot camp or when you get yelled at by a parent
When he said dump the city on it, that was awesome
Yup
Does it mean dispatching all personnel in the city to the site?
@@olduser9061 yes, typically means all available units need to get to the scene or else the whole block would’ve been light
@@ShotGunApe79 Ah got it. Thanks.
That was really badass and was absolutely essential!
Chief dale is the Gordon Ramsey of Firefighting
but he isnt as rude as gordon, hes just extremely authoritative.
WHERE IS THE 2 1/2 SAUCE
@@michaelbean9183 welp it's back in the station a probie managed to fly back to the station using one
Ramsey 😂😂😂😂
And he's a good guy
Battalion Chief Ross Dale is a legend. The way he handled that first call, directing all the units, making the right calls on how to fight the fire, and calling in backup when he needed made that fire a quick knock down. That was superb leadership. Even congratulating his guys afterwards.
Definitely!!!
100% agree ! I love his approach... protect exposure and dump the city! A True incident manager
Bro needs a promotion
Sadly he died in april 2023 😢
So this is what I dont get about american firefighting. I get that it has worked great and all firefighters involved did a fkn good job. But why would a chief, de-facto incident commander need to direct all lines? This to me is so abstract, it just is way too much on an incident commanders mind, in my opinion, and they way we are trained and we work over here, he should just give a task to his lieutenants or whatever it would be, e.g. "protect the exposure here, use 2 lines" or whatever, and they'd be able to do that without needing to be directed by the incident commander all the way. To me this always was a disadvantage of US officer systems. Sure if you climb the ranks from down bottom to chief, you bring a lot of experience, but sometimes you never learned to take a step back from the action. I dont know if what he did here is doctrinally correct over in the US, but for us this would be unthinkable.
"no one knows their neighbours anymore, right?" so true
I don't wanna know my neighbors🤷🏾♂️

It was impressive watching the handling of the 1st fire. It was executed like a well oiled machine.
Right. I've seen some goofy fire teams. A good leader makes the biggest difference. He wasn't worried about being embarrassed if it was contained by time the others got there. Sometimes that happens.
Go get out of here the house is on fire!
People on the front porch: 👁👄👁
Lmao right
WHaT fiRe?
IN THE ALLEYWAY BRIAN, GET THE 2 1/2
IN THE ALLYWAY BRIAN!

Chief Dale of Trenton nj, he's no joke. He's the Man! Thank you to the entire fire dept. 💯🙌excellent job.
He's also a fire officer and you are Also supposed to pay attention to all fire offices
Chief Dale, you know at first I thought he was a micro manager, but the more i watch the more i realize he is a very smart man. He knows what he wants, and its nice to see someone not afraid to let other people make suggestions and role with them. Great show
Lol theres no micromanaging in firefighting when a single ember could expand it, but I get what ur saying. It's his job to be a micro manager agreed great work chief Dale!
i mean, commanding is litterally micro managing .
Brian if you dint get the ally my ears just might 🧎♀️🏌️♀️

LMAO I SAID THE SAME THING

The TFD Batt Chief is amazing. I would work for him anytime. Great scene control and his FF's know how he wants to fight fire.
Exactly right I'd be proud and happy to work for that battalion chief
I'd hire him in a NY minute, outstanding taskmaster, gets $hit done!
There isn’t anything better than a BC who maintains control of his scene and knows when it’s time to upgrade a response.
Except Brian….. Brian is still trying to get water in the ally to this date lol
So he started to fry chicken and then left it unattended to work on something else? You never walk away from from the kitchen when you frying anything cuz this is what happens! Poor guy learned the hard way!
True.
And then I bet he tried to put out a grease fire with water 🤣🤣 ooohh boy people need to do research on basic life skills.
@@centralintelligenceagency7515 if he did, he’s lucky his face isn’t affected from the splash back

Absolutely a brilliant level headed Chief! As a veteran firefighter, I would serve under him for many years.
That chief in Trenton is an absolute unit. Perfect leadership ability. Way to manage a team and see the fruits of your labor

Chief Ross dale. gigachief. I hope to be like him. Calm, collected, straight forward, good communication, and wholesome. Also love that he’s talking and explaining the situation to the residents. Excellent leadership.

very impressed by Chief Dale’s knowledge of fire behaviour just by seeing a flame for a split second he knows where it’ll spread and how hard it’ll burn, you know the right guy is on the job and what a friendly and comforting guy during a shock inducing situation
Hope everyone that lost their houses found different places to live. Thank you to all fire fighters. You are heroes
They would have to. Living in a house that was just in a fire will cause side effects.
The firemen help them go to a temporary house until they find one.
"dump the city on this" is power play of the century
"A FIRE HAS BROKEN OUT IN THE LEGO CITY"
“Nobody knows their neighbors anymore”... too true! 😕
Very true, I've watched other videos where a house will be on fire and people just walk on by like nothing is wrong.
Dammit Brian!!!

trenton bat chief is the most NJ guy ive ever heard
I love the way he takes command of the situation. The loudness and assertiveness is an east coast thing. I'm from NY, and I speak loud and assertive, too. That's the way we are from the Northeast. We are always in control.
Hes Chief. He has to be
8:27 our man completely changed the mood for her. ❤️
Battalion Chief Ross Dale first call, Gives me chills hearing his command. I will follow that man into battle anywhere. Well Done Chief. What control pure leadership.
Ross Dale, loving your enthusiasm, tenacity, true grit & determination. Not all legends wear capes. Stay safe 🤜
That Trenton Chief was on boss mode. What a freaking leader. Just took command and was on point.
1:53 the speed in which those flames came shooting out of there really shows you how deadly this job is.
What a unit of a Batt Chief dude. He had precise control
that first battalion chief... That's what you need in a chaotic situation--a leader who is able to get everyone working just so together. Nice work!
"Nobody knows their neighbors anymore"
sad but true these days
“Start the all hands”
That would make me pumped if I heard that lol
Man, I’m a CA, NJ clip is TENSE AF. I LOVE IT! I mean, unfortunate circumstances, but the Battalion Chief rocks!
I love Chief Dale's passion for the job. We need more like him in the service.
When everyone is in a panic, you need a good, solid commander to take charge, direct the operation, remain calm. Good work Sir and all your team.
That's why he's the chief. He's doesn't f**k around.
Great chief in Trenton!
Pulling his FFs back exactly in the right moment to go exterior only to keep everybody safe, but still tried his very best to keep the structures first.
I think they need to clone this Fire Chief, and give him anti-aging vitamins. He is Impressive!!
I am so impressed with these firefighters! They really know what they’re doing. Much better than others I’ve seen.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the firefighters who work day and night to save human lives. It must be really hard, but it's amazing that you're trying to save lives. Please continue to cheer for us. We'll cheer for you.
This chief is the man son. I love his charisma what a beast.
Glad these fires started earlier rather than later
God Bless our California Paramedics coming to the rescue when we need them the most. Theyre doing a great job! Keep it up you guys!
Leaf: On fire
Dale: GET THE WHOLE CITY ON THIS
but that wasnt a leaf, that was a whole 3-4 houses. thats extremely bad!
@@glennquagmire34 it could have easily spread down the whole street.... Fire spreads quickly and as those houses were so close and practically like wooden matchboxes it doesnt take much
Chief Dale is a good man.
Chief Dale absolutely beast! True leadership
Wow. This Trenton Fire Chief, is the Best I have ever seen in action. His voice has such a projection that he means business, but is very knowledgeable to knock 3 homes down fully involved, quickly. It is the best of the best, quartinated perfectly. Great work. A++++
wow, the squad leader's battalion chief (Trenton) is really good.
I love this Chief in Trenton he’s a tough old time Fireman
Shoutout to all Rescue teams and Workers Saving lives 💯
the first battalion chief is who i want commanding my scenes.
What is the difference between battalion chief and fire chief?
Who overrides who? Is one field and the other office?
ssj2camaro21 Battalion chiefs are the lowest ranking field chiefs. They act as incident commander and are in charge of a battlion (A number of engines, ladders etc). A fire chief or chief of department is the highest ranking chief. It's more administrative but technically he'd be highest ranking incident commander on a fire scene.
Basically battalion is on scene commander and chief is at the fire house doing paperwork but will respond
He had authority and kept people calm while deligating tasks and taking charge. Great Chief!
Love that Mesa FD is masking up on the rig. Saves so much time. For me it’s always kinda funny seeing FF in all their gear and equipment, water on the line kneeling in front of the Entry door to mask up.
Chief dale is a great leader. Loud clear and calculated
Great job Chief on handling the situation
Paterson NJ, gets alot 🔥
they’re also very poor.
they don’t have much money at all. Very poverty ridden city.
*a lot*
Well done for keeping us safe from danger, thank you
Thank you to all the firefighters 🙏
When you see this, it's SO worth paying taxes for. Thank you firefighters!!
Extremely impressive, nothing but respect for these brave men and women.
I could watch these all day.
i would not have wanted to be brian on that first fire! lol tough chief but def knows his stuff. mad props guys
When he said he gonna dump the city on it I got so excited!
As an Australian young man myself born in 1998 from Lakemba, New South Wales, Australia I really look up to firefighters the men and women who work extremely hard to aid & rescue people in danger whether they are boys, girls, men & women. They even save animals which is very sweet. Firefighters are truly incredible human beings because they are so courageous and so selfless. To me they will always be my heroes. As human beings we should all follow the three principles of life compassion, empathy and love to have a more perfect union. 👍🏾 🚒
Kickback to the old days, A SCREAMER ONSCENE
They need to show this video of this picticular fire and lean how it's supposed to be done to all fire Departments full time or volunteer. They all need to see this !!!!!!
Firefighters are the closes people to real life superheroes
Trenton NJ batallion cheif needs to send the wannabe fireman on the first structure fire back to school. He doesnt understand what or why to keep adjacent structures wet. That fire gets unbelievably hot and doesnt take old structure to catch. Empty or not if that spread he just jepordises his fellow fireman. Batallion chief was loud and new what to do, kudos.
Agree!!!
It could be a Probie who’s on his first fire which I think everyone agrees can be a confusing time especially with 3 structures going and everyone yelling
@@paintballgaming1090 my probationary period was spent riding to fire alarms and driving ambulance. In my probationary year i ran one house fire.
@@centralnewyorkresponses7887 this could have been a fire alarm call every once in a blue moon they're real
I spent 20 years in a volunteer fire dept. Our deck guns were pre-piped. They were always set up and ready to go. Since our town was mostly rural, we depended on tankers. Our area has a very well-developed mutual aid system. We could have multiple tankers available in just a few minutes. All the depts carried portable ponds, so tankers could empty in just a couple of minutes through the fast dump outlet. That is the quickest way to ensure an adequate water supply, even with deck guns.
One of the best Bat. Chiefs I've ever seen. God Bless him
Thank goodness for all our first responders and Firefighter.
Can you imagine someone heard this cool firefighter tv show was in town so they set a building on fire just so they could catch another episode of the show :(
