If their Eustace Chapuys speaks with a French accent, that‘s actually historically accurate. He wasn‘t spanish. He was from the Austrian Netherlands, aka modern day Belgium, with French as his native language. (Same is true for Emperor Charles V whose Ambassador he was, btw. Charles grew up in what today is Belgium in the court of his aunt Margaret of Austria - yes, the same at whose court young Anne Boleyn was for a while as well - with French as his first language and didn‘t learn to speak Spanish until going to Spain after the death of his maternal grandfather Ferdinand. I‘m aware Chapuys is often referred to as „the Spanish Ambassador“, but he really wasn‘t. He was the Imperial Ambassador - i.e. representing Charles in his campacity as Emperor of the HRE - and came from basically Charles‘ home region.
They're obvs following the books but I disliked how they made it look like Cromwell was responsible for Mary's submission when we know it was Chapuys who persuaded her. Also during Mary and Henry's reconciliation, they didn't have Mary faint. I suppose they thought her breakdown in Cromwells arms was enough
She’s Anton Lessers daughter!
Cronwell talking to Wolsey even after Wolsey's death absolutely happens a few times in the book.
It would have been nice if they could have cast one of Tom Holland’s many brothers.
Great video as always
I don't miss a single one

Okay, fair enough
Reminds me of Hercule Poirot and the gag of many mistaking him as French and him correcting them saying he's Belgian 😂
Excellent video! I look forward to the rest of your reviews.

Lillit Lesser is Anton Lesser's Daughter.

The two Cromwells are related through Thomas Cromwell’s sister whose descendants took on the Cromwell name. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cromwell_family
