- A young lady was being pressured to move in with her boyfriend. She was hesitant because she wanted to get her finances together. She also wanted him to pay down his credit card debt. One method he used to retaliate against her resistance was to abandon the cat that he had for years, because he knew it would hurt her. She asked the question is she being petty. My response. Hell to the naw!!!

So many red flags. Girl, he’s irresponsible. He’s a slob. He’s selfish. He’s immature. He’s cold hearted.
Too much?? I don’t think so. I’m married to a kind and responsible man for 44 years. All the things you mentioned about this guy are things my husband would never, ever do.
Break it off. You sound like a level headed and kind lady. You can do much better.
Something I finally learned is that people who are not behaving responsibly will seek out a responsible person to carry their load. This world needs more people like her. He is looking for a housekeeper, pet sitter, and someone to help with his bills. I do not see her as dramatic. Id be stressing and looking for an exit.

She should run from him as fast as she can! Red flags everywhere! 🚩 He is self centered and will use her. But worse than that, he is cruel. That is the worst thing. If you can be cruel to an innocent animal then you’re capable of anything. Like you said, if he can be that way towards his OWN animal, what is he going to be like towards hers? I wouldn’t dare leave him alone with mine! I’m a big animal lover and am a part of a rescue in my small town. We help place all kinds of animals in loving homes, on farms, etc. What he did by leaving the cat outside all that time is animal cruelty and is a crime here. If we were aware of that situation we would call the DCO and the sheriff. He would’ve been fined (at the very least) and the cat would’ve been removed. I really hope she doesn’t move in with this guy, or even stay with him. Ppl like him don’t change and he has proven he has a mean streak a mile wide! Hope you have a great rest of your week!

Hi James!! Don’t agree that being a bad pet parent doesn’t mean you won’t be a good baby parent. They’re directly connected. You’re not supposed to bow out when it gets hard on any other living, breathing being.
At least not without finding them a good and stable home.
Pets are part of the family, and if you don’t see them that way you should leave adoption to people that take it to heart.
Cats Independent…PLEASE!! I have 2 cats…one is PLASTERED to my side and the other one constantly wakes me up whenever I’m sleeping…or doing anything really because she needs love!!❤❤❤❤

Imagine when she moves in with him and he realizes women use more toilet paper than men. Laughing my ass off. Dudes going to bring in some leaves for her to use to wipe her ass. He'll buy day old bread.. markdown meat. Dented cans of vegetables. And when you're sick you will not be going to the emergency room. Nope it'll be the free clinic for you. When it's open.Been there done that. On many levels of things. And people. I live alone 9 years now. I have two cats and I'm very clean. I even put flea med on the two outside cats that come by. Why cuz I might bring a flea in the house to the two I have in the house. James that took you a long time to read that letter thought it was worth it cuz I really adore you buddy. You're the best at what you do.
