- A father who is separated from his kids must take responsibility to be involved with his children's lives. Kody relies on his children's mothers to maintain his relationships with his kids. This is not their job. If he is man enough to make a child then you must be man enough to meet that child's needs. I firmly believe every parent should have the opportunity to be a parent to their child. However, I do not think that this right is boundless. You can't do what ever you want and expect other people to just accept it. If you choose not to be around don't be angry when the kids choose not to stick around.

The reason Janelle, Meri and Christine didnt get along at the start was because Kody played them all off against each other, when he started spending all his time with Robyn the other wives didnt have that animosity any more and Christine and Janelle discovered they actually really liked each other.

I SO agree with you. What parent would get a tv show about their “family” and not immediately set up a trust for the kids? He has over a dozen children and never spent one second thinking they may not only need the money but deserve it! I’m 35 and my dad just set up a trust for me! It’s what good parents do if they are able and he is certainly able!
I've never really thought about inheritance for the OG 12 kids. How sad that there may not be any inheritance other than for Robyns kids.

When my kids grew up and moved out, I knew they'd be busy with jobs and dating and having fun. I realized it was my responsibility to reach out to them if I wanted to be in their lives. So I call them. I send them notes and gifts. I check in every week-- not too much, but also enough that I can be sure they're okay and they can be sure they don't have to worry about me.
I sure don't get all butthurt because they have more complicated and busy lives now and don't put me first in their minds.
Our job as parents is to see children become independent adults.

Kody doesn't seem to realise that his kids have grown and changed. As has Christine, Janelle and Mary. He is missing the adoration from them all. He makes no effort to be in their lives and can't understand why things have changed. He has had Robyn as reference the last 14 years and they seem to be able to control her older girls, so he is at a loss as to why this isn't the same with the rest of his children.

What everyone seems to forget about Ysabel’s move, is that she moved out in 2022. It’s been 2 years since Ysabel moved back to Utah and Kody only found out in 2024 when they did the couch interviews. So it’s been AT LEAST one to two years since the move and Kody didn’t know. He clearly NEVER talks to his kids or else he would’ve known about the move. Another thing. Christine didn't want to live in a house with all her Sisterwives. Because for adults, especially women living with one man, that's HARD. Living with adult roomates is difficult for anyone. Totally understandable. But Christine and Janelle grew up. And they had quite a big brood to raise together. And things got better and better between them. And now, they have a bond. That still doesn't mean they want to live together in the same house. Also!!!! Janelle is deciding this for herself. They lied to us. ALL of them. Christine said herself her marriage with Kody was wonderful with little issue until he started courting Robyn. Then in season 16/17 she begins talking openly about being oppressed and unhappy.
I think Christine came out of the fog.. it is pretty classic in an abusive relationship or cult situation where you keep trying to vakance and see the positive..and keep being told ypu are the problem... we watched Christine try and try and keep trying to be honest on camera.
