I had the original Beast Wars Silverbolt when i was younger, loved his character in the show. Unfortunately i lost him as well as 99% of my stuff when i moved and to this day still trying to recover that collection.
Great review. Just curious, do find it odd that studio series 112 Optimus Prime from Transformers One is on pre-order on sites like BBTS and not anywhere on Hasbro Pulse?
I'll agree with you guys on the alt mode and the Wolf head, the tail was too short for me, the gap on his left side of his mouth bothered me, but in the end the robot mode was fantastic and I have no regrets having this guy, enjoyed watching this review you respond on with it.
Silverbolt indeed fired his feather missile-spear thing from the show (Well somebody had to show off his toy gimmick!), mostly in his robot mode as far as I remember. I have this figure and it is a blast. Though the wolf head could use some more paint to the finer details like the pupils, lower jaw and tongue.
That would make for a very terrifying Chimera! I think a major improvement to this figure would be to have his tail feathers further back over his rear end possibly blocking the fists from sight a little.
Fuzors were just a blend of 2 different animals while the Transmetals were metallic beasts with "fleshy/furry" Bot modes. Transmetal 2 was my favorite with the more monsterous/cyborg looking figures.
@@PatriotPrimeReviews Silverbolt also got affected by the Metal Hunter in Beast Wars, but whatever Transmetal element he had wasn't enough to save him from Megatron's virus in Beast Machine
I loved Silverbolt, had the toy, still have it but minus the wing missiles. His Fuzor beast mode is so evocative of mythological beasts like griffins, I absolutely love it. I've used eagle-wolves as creatures in tabletop rpg's before. Noble creatures.
I got Silverbolt it’s a good figure. I give him nine out of 10. The only reason I’m not giving him a full 10. I think he needed a tad more paint detail. But that’s a very minor issue with him but overall, it’s still a great figure. And far as you’re question, I think he shot lasers out of his eyes.
It is the bottom jaw or the chin the color matching is off and no wolf has a color change right a the opening of the mouth. It would match or at least have a gradient from black to gray or at least some black on the chin around the mouth.
The transformation on the original was one of the most fun I've ever transformed so I'm kinda bummed they changed it. But that's the hazards of show accuracy I guess. I think that wolf face is a little too slim and too black. The old one is bulkier and has more grey hair highlights peaking through.
How dare you review a non G1 character you toxic Geewunner?! Reeeeee! Jk. Great review. Only thing bugging me is the tail is too small in Beast mode. Other than that great figure! Till all are one!
I really do love this toy. The only thing I would nit-pick about is the Beast mode head sculpt, which you pointed out. I wish it was more cartoon accurate, this is more a wolf than a dog. But overall very satisfied with this figure. Love the bloopers, haha.
Silver bolt was definitely a break out character from Beast Wars. He fired with his wings forward in robot mode in his debut episode.
The original was one of the few beast wars figures i had as a kid. It was great and this figure doesn't disappoint.

I got him yesterday, looking forward to a quiet moment to unbox the bastard!

Not really a beast wars or beast former guy, but Silver bolt here looks AWSOME. I definitely will pick this guy up.

9:28 the wolf head’s too friendly.

I agree 100%
Saw some figure stands at target
The metallic paint is meant to represent Transmetal, Fuzors are part transmetal too

Got my silver bolt today. I am very pleased with him. 👍
Enjoy it

will you do a legacy magmatron video?
I sure will.
Looking forward to getting him.
Solid toy. Just wish the robot/bird feet had better articulation. Similar to the original’s.

I know right, how dare I, a "Geewunner" enjoy another figure that's not G1?
Seen and on my buy list just bills on way in. Have to do that first. 😅
You can do it!
Bills: We are definitely in the adult collector era of life 😂 and also 😢
