- Transformers Beast Wars gave us Silverbolt, a Fuzor who possessed a beast mode that was part wolf and part eagle. He is a noble Maximal and quickly sees through Megatron’s deception to make him join the Predacons. Recently, Transformers Legacy United released a Voyager-sized version of this character, and Captain Kyle compares it to the 1998 original.
Silverbolt emerged from his Stasis Pod confused, as the powerful energies released by the alien Vox had caused his scanner to malfunction and gave him the combined form of an eagle and a wolf… making him a winged wolf. He possesses a very powerful sense of right and wrong and convinced Blackarachnia to fight off her Predacon programming and join the Maximal cause. The original toy from 1998 was articulated and relatively show accurate at the time, but can the new Legacy United version top it? You decide.

The original is one of my all time favorites, but hot damn is the new one so beautiful. BW Silverbolt has yet to have a bad figure, we don't talk about Beast Machines though.
Snifflable buttholes are always a welcome feature on my transformers.
The OG has better paint on the wolf face. The bird feet are better articulated back in the day too. I also feel the bird tail is too short now. I wish the bot head could look up. It’s always annoying when flying figures can’t lift their heads appropriately for flying poses.
Pretty well satisfied with the new toy. Has a great look, solid conversion, good wings, really decent articulation. I do wish the bot feet articulated up. Or else have the heel bend down. Robot head sculpt is perfection. Pure perfection.

the original Silverbolt in beast mode has better front leg separation , the new looks like a head on top of a waist, the old one feels like the proper front section of a creature
As always - often - The new version isn't a complete improvement over the old version. With the alt mode usually being the one that suffers. Keeps the old versions from flooding the secondary market if that is Hasbro's plan.

Id said the original one has a better beast mode. Because the tail fathers actually go past his but unlike on the new one. But the new one has a better robot mode because of the wings. Because they are actually on his back. Instead of being behind his head. Like on the original one. So they both have a good looking mode an a so so looking mode.

Having sold my OG Silverbolt a few years back, I was auto see the difference in size between the 2 of them. My memory was of them being almost identical 🤷🏻♂️

Hoping they come out with a depthcharge asap so I can hopfully free my soul from this crippling plastic addiction.Hasbro are crafty bastards .. i'm a 90s baby who got sucked in with kingdom optimus primal and now I have all these bloody G1 characters cluttering my house..like why? i never even watched the og show or 86 movie ..Once I get a full collection of beasties will I ever feel fufilled? or is this just a heroin like void that can never be filled? god help me.
