The comic relief character sections are one of the gripes i had with this game its so meh...
I agree with that, there part of the game didn’t need to be added or could of just been a quick cut scene
"This is the queen Zenobia... Emergency call number.." that MF still haunts me.
That’s lead up to that boss fight was so good
It was a DS game. This is as good as it could have possibly been. This game was a technical marvel and I think people judge it too harshly. It wasn't a home console game, it got a re-release on wiiu but its still a 3ds game.

I remember really struggling with the dodge mechanics in Resident Evil Revelations as well and I still can't fully understand how it works.
I found the dodge mechanic in original Resident Evil 3 easier to understand because your dodge happens when you are in mid aiming animations so if I fail the dodge it feels more like my fault for failing.
I think so many people didn't like or understand the dodge in Resident Evil 3 because the game doesn't really fully tell you how the dodge works. It just says here's the buttons but doesn't tell you the mechanics of how to perform the dodge. You have to figure that out on your own.
The dodge becomes even easier with the rocket launcher equipped because of how slow the aim animation is but in Resident Evil Revelations I had the same problems with the dodge sometimes working & sometimes not like it was a gamble.
This game is surprisingly fun, but I agree that the non-Jill sections are all just okay.
I also think they tried WAY too hard with the story. You think the double crosser is Raymond but then it turns out to be Rachel, Terragrigia’s destruction by solar satellite having been planned, Veltro is back but wait no they’re not, and it was all plot by your boss…
I know, it’s called “Revelations”, so things have to be revealed, but it all felt a bit too absurd for an RE game.
Would be great if Capcom ever decides to revisit RE Revelations series and have stories featuring likes of Sherry, Rebecca, Carlos, or Jake as the leads. But it's so unlikely since both games weren't big sellers and were part of Capcom's low point in the early to mid 2010s prior to the big comeback with RE7 and Monster Hunter World in 2017.
Yeah that’s true, but they honestly need to revisit the series
to be fair, the revelations games kept the Resident Evil franchise on life support until RE7 revitalized it
I hated the scan mechanism. I kept forgetting about it when I took a break in between the episodes

Also the final boss has supernatural powers which is totally unfitting for creatures in the RE universe
I somewhat see where you’re coming from but at the same time you have Wesker that essentially has superpowers, there have been other people that transform into tyrants & have other abilities like alexia who uses fire & morpheus who used electricity.
@@CommunityDeepDives I agree, but the guy literally disappears and has this "alternative dimension" portal ability which is a unique and cool idea by itself, but I personally don't see it has any place in the RE universe which is all about the "physical" threat (Viral,Bio, virus, etc) not the magical/superNATURAL one like what we got here
All your gripes with the game is the exact same as mine so, the entire time watching this video I was like "OMG same!" "yes I hated that!" "me too!" 😂🤣

Revelations 2 DEFINITELY needed more time to cook! While the game we got is great for what it is, but it couldve been MUCH better, maybe even better than RE4 & Rev1 combined!
That first boss in episode 3 made me return the game as a kid no way they made dude have a chainsaw n unable to stagger u think a 11 y/o knew how to defeat dude 😂
