2:15 That's a scene that can just randomly occur while playing the DLC: Marguerite just rushes at Clancy after having an argument with Jack, calling Clancy a "goddamn homewrecker" and stabbing him repeatedly. Then she just makes up with Jack and they both leave like nothing happened. I always found that scene rather horrific.

Awesome edition. It's fascinating to see the devs quirks - half the time they merely despawn in non-visible areas. Then, others, like the centipede in Marguerite's throat...? Equally impossible to observe under normal playing circumstances, and yet they end up doing the full render regardless.
And, really, that one in particular is most especially notable in its full blown oddness - there, you've got an NPC/model *inside* of another NPC/model. Yet when its something far simpler, like rendering an NPC on the other side of a door in a location the game is already fully rendering, the team just has them go *poof* and disappear.
ahh, the intricacies of modern game design. Gotta love it! Awesome work with this series, Nacho, and I'm greatly anticipating the further mini-games DLC + Not A Hero, and whatever else Capcom has in store for us with this contemporary gaming masterpiece/work of art.
Rick Adams the reason they're able to keep the centipede rendered is because of its relatively simple texturing and low poly count. The actual characters have higher texture qualities and higher poly counts. This allows for lower-end systems to continue without lowered frames due to unnecessary rendering.
Another reason is to not make animations and play them in the background when the player isn't going to see them, so its best to remove the NPCs all together.
