Thanks Ed, I tend to keep the battery topped up with an intelligent battery charger although stop / start rarely works for very long and I know a lot of owners have it disabled. I was sure you fitted an AGM one in an earlier video. I need one of those T shirts though 😊🍀💯🇮🇹🏁
Yes I still have the AGM for obvious reasons. backroadhero.myspreadshop.co.uk/create?productType=977&mode=edit&appearance=476&sellable=m4kbvqYpE0HRaeQ101Nq-977-7&idea=6256e0bbd42417007126b70f
I’m not sure but it’s usually a matter of holding the window button down for about 10seconds after the window has fully opened. Then the same on the way up. That’s generic. It seems that the Alfa doesn’t need this in the end. Ed
2:49 do you know ANYWHERE I can get a replacement tag/clip? Mine snapped during removal and can’t find replacements anywhere online… In fact, I’m not even sure what to search for. Great video BTW; helped me a lot today with swapping out the battery on my Giulia!
To be honest the clip is only to locate the pins for the correct orientation. I wouldn’t bother worrying about a replacement as they have no other use. As long as the clamp is tight then you’ll have no issues. Ed
Well I just realized my prevouis previous owner, has lost the screw for the battery and replaced it with foam great.....any idea where I can get a new screw?
For not loosing any "programming" I've heard that you could have used a back up-battery on the poles in the engine compartment. Of course you must have isolated the positiv conections in the rear while dying the change-job .... Thoughts on this ... ?
Thanks Ed. This woul com in handy in the future 🍀 💫. Keep it up. Making the videos
I will. If I can help only one person then it has been worth while. So many jobs can be done yourself it seems a shame to pay for it. 😉 E

Super thanks! This was so helpful. I was shocked by the resetting procedure I actually thought u needed to plugin some ODB thingy to reset the car!😂
That’s the reason I make these. Easy DIY fixes. Thank you. Ed
Thank you for this! How do you reprogram the windows if needs be?

@@Back_Road_Hero oh Ok great. Thanks again!
Very informative video. Thanks ❤

@@Back_Road_Hero wondered if that might be the case! Good to hear it from someone else tho… Keep up the good work on the channel.
Do you need to do any coding for the new battery?
The only coding you might possibly need is if you change capacity but mine didn’t need coding.
Did you replace the battery on the green one too?
Not yet. As soon as it shows signs I’ve a spare AGM 95Ah to go into it.
Thanks
Thats a very clever neg terminal! Progress eh…!

Which screw is that? The main one holding it in? I’d try somewhere like eBay or it might just be that you have to order one from the manufacturer. Ed

It’s an added level of complexity that’s not really needed in the end. My car retained all settings. Ed
I'd use a Exide EK 950 battery. It's a 95Ah the weight is the same as the original one.
I’ve an AGM 95Ah waiting for the first sign of trouble. 😁👍
