Assembly Of Dust performs "Speculator" from the album The Honest Hour. Live at the Summit Music Hall in Denver, CO. Recorded 1-12-13.
The Honest Hour by AOD is one of the best live jam band albums . Each song stands out and the interplay between guitars and keyboards is outstanding. Reid’s vocals are emotive and incisive
They're fantastic
Nice video. I discovered AOD totally by accident. Someone who worked at a library had gotten a bunch of CDs that the library was getting rid of. The Honest Hour was one of them and it ended up in my hands and I was hooked more or less immediately. Since I also play music I recently took up figuring out Speculator. I guessing now that the version on that CD, being in F#, Reid might have been playing with his guitar tuned down a half step. In this vid, Reid is clearly playing out of G. Great song and jam.
So pumped for this. Grew up on Strangefolk/AoD and the incredible voice of Reid Genauer
Still an ultimate jam. I was here!
A good life . Indeed.....
Those were the days
The anthem of my life...
Had the pleasure of meeting Reid and seeing AOD last November with a trip to Portland Maine, they are about to drop some tour dates really soon!
AOD has a sound that is built of southern music. I wish they would travel below the mason-dixon line more to share their talent with the folks down here. Not many southerners know about them and they are truly missing out. Touring counts! AOD can soothe my soul to no end.

Love the melodic playing style of Adam Terrell!
Jason Crosby !
Pure talent
Perfect song
Euphoric music .Sounds like a cross between Allmans, Dead and Bruce Hornby- all at their best
Trust me, in person they bring the Funk
Love it!!!!
Crazy Fingers is great too!
@Marilyn: they are incredible live! I've seen the band live several times (new years is the greatest!). your best bet is to catch them at one of the "small" venues they advertise. best shows i've seen have been in "hole in the wall" venues in NYC. tightly packed space, incredibly high energy levels, good beer on tap, great camaraderie.... *sigh* i miss the east coast.....
mahhhvelous
