Put it where the other stadiums are... no community-minded person wants a stadium in that spot. It will cause a lot of problems... including transportation.

The Sixers want their own stadium with their own revenue. You can't do that in the sports complex.
That is what the city wants, to block bust Chinatown.
Keep all our communities vibrant. 76ers remaining in South Philadelphia will add to it’s development along with Flyers, Eagles, and Phillies. Why separate them. Chinatown has been a community favorite for tourists and Philadelphians. Tearing down this community will create disruption within wealth creation. This speaks of greed and will not benefit Philadelphia in the immediate or long run.
30,000 signatures mean nothing if the people who live there don’t want a stadium in their community.
The 76ers franchise could certainly find an alternative location in Philadelphia for their new stadium, but they are unwilling to make the effort. From the outset, their objective has been to replicate models from other cities and convince us that a downtown stadium is the optimal solution.
Furthermore, I am deeply troubled by the organizers' manipulation of the situation. They have deliberately played one community against another, specifically the Asian and African-American communities. To achieve their goal, they entice one community with promises of a dream while simultaneously portraying the other as an obstacle to progress. This approach is not only divisive but also morally wrong.
I sincerely hope that the stadium is relocated to a different area. The Market Street neighborhood does not need a stadium.
The people of Chinatown deserve better. Only problem is, that they are at the bottom of the political totem pole. They have been suffering 50 years of bad ideas and projects. From the expressway to a federal prison. And did the Sixers actually expect fans not to drive? There's nowhere to park at that location. And there is zero benefit to the people of the area.
MSG and Barcley center in NYC, Capital One Arena in DC, Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, etc. the list can go on and on. No problem with parking. Arenas downtown in cities is nothing new. San Antonio and Oklahoma City are about to build arenas downtown in their cities. Philly downtown is outdated compared to other cities.
@@Trizzbizz267 Philadelphia is not NYC. And most of the fan bases in The burbs or NJ are not riding a train home after a night game. And NYC is the city that never sleeps. Center City most certainly sleeps after 7. And and the teams in Washington all want to leave.

So you think ppl that live in Olney don’t get on the sub to ride all the way to south Philly to go to a game? Cmon. Camden Yards stadium in downtown Baltimore. Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento. Little Caesars Arena in midtown Detroit. What about those? And OKC and San Antonio are building stadium downtown

My thoughts about the proposed 76ers arena on the area of the fashion district and Chinatown.
It’s a bad idea in the first place… why?
1). Crime in the city yes has slowly dropped since former mayor Kenney left, and the current mayor was sworn in.
2). The people of the Chinatown community need a better place and lives to live in a city where their heritage can thrive with their own values.
3). If the 76ers arena is built, there will be chaos unfolding in that area and if there were injuries and whatnot, does anyone have a place to seek hospital treatment there? NO! The nearest hospital in Philadelphia is Penn Hospital, Jefferson Hospital & CHOP all in university city which is on the other side of Philadelphia.
The third part… yes many people will say. What does hospitals have anything to do with the 76ers proposed arena? Well, wouldn’t anyone want to know where to get first aid or seek medical attention? Why focus on the arena itself and not look at the overall issue of the lives of the Philadelphia people. (Crime, housing, etc.) it’s not about basketball etc.
Finally. Just extend the contract of the Wells Fargo center until the team has a better understanding of the Chinatown community.
All lives matter regardless of ethnicity, race etc ❤
Chinatown is awesome and the stadium complex is great where it is. Leave it all be.
If they put it at the fashioned district its nobody would to drive because all the trains stations are near by,this is a great idea

You know what would have a bigger, economic incentive and pay itself off every time year after year after year better transportation plus they already have a goddamn basketball arena. Chinatown is one of the best areas of Philly, put a stadium there and it will be ruined forever.

I royally HATE the Harris & Co. ownership group!!!! Any other other I would trust in building a new arena but these guys are just scumbags!
Taking ideas from the community only for them to absolutely not listen to them. A stadium is and will go there, there are already commercials for a 2032 completion date. I’m here fore the fight and will continue to attend community meetings like this but I have very little hope.
There's too much money involved in this project for it to not go forward. The right hands will be greased, and this arena will unfortunately be built. One can look at the Atlantic Yards project up in New York as a similar example to our situation.
The Unions want it, the politicians want it, anyone whos who in Philly want it. So I guess it's gonna happen.

Put it either in North or West Philly. Revitalize those neighborhoods with new business. It's probably billions of dollars cheaper to do so. Unless there is a specific reason why the Sixers don't want their stadium in black neighborhoods.

Graduate Hospital, Grays Ferry, other black communities in south Philly has already been gentrified. The area around Temple in north Philly also.

I would recommend they look at Sacramento California and how they built the arena BUT they incorporated the community. There are restaurants and shops and it is not a disruption but a functional part of the business community. I am sure residents could use that model to get the things they desire.
The only satellite businesses this will attract are the usual kinds of places that sports fans like-- chain stores and parking lots. When there's not a game, the area around the stadium will be a ghost-town with all the charm of the back of a refridgerator.
