OMG, how many years have countless fans wanted to see Luke in his prime training others. Chills and tears. Plus, everything else that happened.
This episode was like a dream come true. 10/10.
They hired a RUclipsr named Shamook last year after he released a video "fixing" Lukes face on the Mandalorian. It looks like it was a pretty good hire
CAD BANE! also the cgi for Luke was phenomenal this whole episode
Yeah they did a great job at the cgi, sometimes you could see max Lloyd-jones especially during the lightsaber scene which is understandable
but there was lack of emotion in the way luke was talking, did not feel natural and bothered me while watching the show, they improved the cgi from last season but need to work on the line delivery.

Hoping this is another universe and the entire Kylo Ren thingie dont exist in this reality.
It’s the “Book” of Boba Fett. Many stories, coming together. They don’t have to include Boba in every episode.
That’s why it’s called the book of boba Fett… it’s told like a book. The main story is boba, but to help tell the story these chapters are side stories that will go back to boba
Thank you! I have thought that for weeks and wish that people would allow the full story to unfold before judging and complaining about parts of it. These last two chapters have information and characters that will come into play for Boba in the finale and they couldn’t just dump exposition on us, they had to tell those characters’ situations as well. Any well written book has chapters that are “seemingly” unattached from the main character. Since this IS a well written Book, I find myself thinking, “What nuggets are they going to surprise us with in chapter 7?” 😏🤩

I don’t that will happen or else why don’t we see Grogu in the sequels? Grogu will be a mandolorian while Luke will end up trying Kylo. I do believe Grogu will end up with the dark saber in time.

Well, speaking of fingers : Cad Bane's hands is the part that looks... Not necessarily off, but a bit too fake., the face, outfit and voice are absolutely on point!
He's fine. Disney won't grant permission to kill off any of their property permanently. Hell, half the characters do more stuff after they die than they did when they were alive. I'm expecting Jango Fett's head to make an appearance any time now, with a blaster in its teeth.

Ashoka telling Luke about his parents is a moment I’d love to see. Luke never knew his parents, so he deserves to know more about them and I think it could provide good closure for Ashoka too. Luke could tell her that Anakin reverted to the light and help her perspective of Anakin. they could really help each other

Jokes aside, this is the most emotional episode ever for me personally. Especially Ahsoka meeting Luke because I've always wanted both of them to interact with each other. My tears started running down when Ahsoka mentioned to Luke how he reminds her so much of his father. Cad Bane was the icing on the cake.
Is amazing how awesome a character is... that everyone recognizes him even if it's first apparition and main focus was in the Clone Wars series.
Dank Farrik Dave Filoni delivered everything we want…Grogu training was beautiful ..asoka and luke together talking ….Bane was outstanding …Mando Feelings….This is the way🤘
I feel like Luke wants him to pick Mando. It’s an attachment that feels right from the heart. It’s what made Luke a great Jedi. The attachment he had for his friends & family. Choosing good over evil. And saving Vader from the dark side.
I think it’s a test. If Grogu picks the better choice in Luke’s opinion, he will get both the chainmail and the lightsaber. After all, Luke probably wouldn’t be alive had it not been for the father-son bond between him and Vader.
Also, Grogu will outlive Mando. He’ll still be “The Child” when Mando & Luke pass away. Grogu will be equivalent to a ten year old at 100 years. He’s 50 years old right now. Luke was way older when he started his training. Yoda died at 900 years old.
They’re making it so hard for us to criticize these final three episodes, lol. As much as we want to be critical of the lack of title character in his own show, the content that they are giving us has been absolutely beautiful.
The strager from the desert as once stated is someone “who needs no introduction”. When you see his Hat you’re as good as dead

@@markcruz359 -- Neither can I, but, there's many years between this show and the sequel trilogy. Who knows, maybe they'll use the veil or whatever to plop the sequel trilogy into another timeline.
I wish they’d just decanonize the Sequel Trilogy like they did Legends.

Yeah there's a theory that the crimson dawn will be involved and they might show up with qi'ra at the end of this season to set up season 2 of boba Fett. But we will see.
Starting to realise these series' aren't just focusing on the 1 specific character, they'll create the backstory but explore more of the universe and introduce other main characters, im loving it. think of it as cross overs but more than just 1 episode lol
I cant wait for Ashoka, Ezra, Cal Kestis and so much more. The potential for all the various crossovers

Grogu's been spoiled silly by mando who lets him eat anything and plays catch 😂luke sure has a cheeky little bastard for his first student.
Im pretty confident that Grogu will choose both or end up in some way as both regardless of what he decides. Ashoka kinda dropped a big line with Luke, how she said "Sometimes the student guides the Master." Its possible Grogu will teach Luke that he can be both Mandalorian and Jedi.

Even so, putting Grogu up to choose, when he's gonna be outliving any of them, and thus can decide to change or go back to the Path, is kinda weird imo.
Luke himself, interupted his training with Yoda to go help his friends, before coming back.
Now it might be a pedagogic move, like to teach grogu that if he makes a choice he has to stick to it for it to have meaning or something, since Grogu is "relatively speaking" still "young".
But like he said, he ain't putting his heart into this, so a change or decision needs to be made.

I think we need to accept that whatever the current Star Wars show, it will just be moving the story of the universe forward. Which I am absolutely fine with :)
Imagine Ahsoka apologizing to Luke of not being able to save Ani from the darkside or be there during his darkest times and what he eventually became then Luke telling her that it wasn't her fault and how Ani came back and redeemed himself. Imagine Ahsoka's feelings in that moment knowing Anakin came back and redeemed himself and how she wished she could've seen him again.

The return of Grogu!!!!! Plus stuning callbacks of a far greater looking Luke!! Ahsoka and R2-D2!!! Plus an unbelievable introduction of Cad Bane!! What an episode!

The more I watch the duel, the more I think shooting Cob in the shoulder was intentional. That was his drawing arm. I'm thinking he left Cob alive but crippled his quick draw as a warning. Also, seeing how fast the Mandalorian draws and how he considers Cob a friend, I'm betting we're going to see a showdown between him and Cad before the season ends
I think this is a test by Luke to see if grogu know the importance of the training. That if he picks the saber Luke with also give him the armor. But if he choice the armor he will have him leave. Going off of what Luke said. “ you may never see him again” he didn’t say if you pick the saber you will never see him. Luke just wants him to understand that bonds can be a weakness but can also be a strength if understood
Wow that is interesting. I was kinda hoping that Luke's New Jedi Order wouldn't be so fastidious about attachments like in EU.

I think we’ll see him at the end of season 3. I think season 3 will be focused on the dark saber and mandalore. I think grogu will stay and get enough training and leave just like Luke did when he senses mando is in trouble. Then grogu will go back and be welcomed but Luke’s new student Ben will not like this idea of everyone forgiving him so easily and allowing grogu to return giving us our first look at Ben’s dark side. That’s if they are keeping the sequels cannon

Imo I think the opposite, if he picks the armor Grogu also keeps the Saber, but if Grogu picks the saber then he will continue his training as if nothing happened. Now he is most likely going to leave due to the starfighter hatchet but other than that most likely the armor.

I want Grogu to be a Mandalorian and also a Jedi, like Tarre Vizsla. And i want Luke to change the Jedi ways (Forget about the sequels...). Maybe learn from this experiencie with Grogu, from Ahsoka, and his dad's Force Ghost. One can dream...
That Naboo fighter was designed specifically to hold a baby Yoda, for likely season 3 with that "hogged out" astromech space behind Din. They hired the guy who "fixed" the first Luke appearance in the Mandalorian finale. He put out a RUclips video of his work and it impressed Lucasfilm so much, they hired him. Clearly he is good.
If he outgrows the armour, he can melt and re forge it. Assuming he takes it.

Bobas story was covered well in the first 4 episodes, I’m liking how they’re showing what’s going on with din and there squad members, feel like it’ll tie in perfectly. Overall it’s was amazing, Ashoka was was amazing just to good Dave filoni goat

Amazing episode!!! Luke looked so much better!! I hope we are able to see the rest of the flashback and find out who saved him. I hope it's not just a random person.
Even though I am disappointed that Boba Fett is being sidelined in his own show I can’t contain my excitement at the fact that in one episode we got Grogu, Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka, Cobb Vanth, AND CAD FREAKING BANE!!!!! Now that the Pyke Syndicate has Cad Bane they have now leveled the playing field.
One thing I didn’t like though is that Luke gave Grogu an ultimatum of either being a Jedi or a Mandalorian. I know that the Jedi are not supposed to form attachments to anyone but it was exactly Luke’s attachment to his father that brought Anakin back to the light and saved the Galaxy. Maybe it’s to foreshadow how Luke needed to reevaluate the rules of a Jedi and make a new and more open minded set of rules.
I agree. They should drop the "no family" rule because I think that is why Anakin's hatred intensified. Jedis should be able to form their own family but at same time, use the force for the good of the galaxy.
I think is because earlier in the episode Luke said that he was wondering if Grogu is putting his heart on the training, so he makes him decide to know if what he thinks is correct or not, but also I think That in the next episodes Mando will struggle again with the darksaber and will go to Luke so he can help him with the darksaber and I hope that mando tells Luke what he knows about the darksaber and in that moment Luke realizes that Grogu can have of both worlds

This episode 6 of Fett was some of the best Starwars stuff I've seen in years. It's the sequels we've never got back in the 80's and 90's.
“It has hat!” and “Don’t do him like that, Luke.” are my two favorite parts of this video.

That was an Excellent Episode of Star Wars, I'm Loving it! Thank You Dave Filoni for Giving Us All what We have wanted for So Many Years! Luke's Jedi Academy, Grogu Training with Master Luke, R2, Live Action Cade Bane Vs Cobb Vanth and Ahsoka Again.
There is another possibility......
....Grogu may choose to return to Dinn, but On Ahsika's advice, Luke gives Grogu Yoda's light saber. Grogu goes to help Dinn, like he left his training, to go help Han and Leia. With the training he has, Grogu' a presence helps Dinn control the Dark Saber. Once the conflict is over, Grogu does return to Luke.
Grogu's first words to Luke needs to be "Only the Sith deal in absolutes"
I think Grogu takes the armor and later ends up with the Dark saber. Luke’s first student will be Kylo…and we know the rest

You would hope/think Luke would have learned what denying attachment does. We all know what eventually happens with the new school and especially Ben. Maybe that unlearned lesson is part of what leads to that.

4:35 Fun fact: That is Sabermaster Cin Drallig in the Grogu flashback.
He was an amazing instructor and the head of the Jedi Temple Guard. His live action in the prequels was played and inspired by Bob Anderson (he has a brief cameo duel with Anakin/Darth Vader during Order 66 when Obi-Wan is looking at the security footage of the fall of the temple.) Bob Anderson is a master swordsman and fencer and was the stunt choreographer of the Star Wars movies, The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings, The Mask of Zorro and many more.
Cin Drallig was actually a "boss" you had to fight in the Episode III videogame of Revenge of the Sith. The story is about how Vader kills him.
Grogu's flashback actually showed the clones killing him which is an interesting change in the new Disney Canon. (Like, they could have almost showed Hayden in the background as Anakin if they really wanted to..)

I can appreciate Anthony's reaction to Cad Bane in the distance. I had a similar reaction watching this with my 85 year old father who has never seen The Clone Wars, and I started sound byting "That's Cad Bane! That's Cad Bane!!"

But one thing luke was right, a short period of time for grogu and life time for Din, what if din dies for age or killed, then grogu might fall into the dark side like Anakin. Makes sense to me in a Jedi way even though I’d love to see grogu choose mando.
Imoho, better to form bond with somebody who loves you, even though it will last just a few years, than spend hundreds of years alone and not knowing how it feels like. Grogu I think will even become a better jedi, since he know the meaning of living and death.

I'm finally getting the logic of this season of the mandalorian! You know how every season/episode ends up having sidequests? This sidequest was SO MASSIVE we needed 4 episodes to get the backstory for it xD

I’d love for Ventress to show up but sadly they killed her off in the canon book Dark Disciple. She sacrificed her self to save her Jedi lover Quinlan Vos.
This episode was amazing in all terms !! However, one observation is that they hinted Luke presenting himself again on Ahsoka's Series that is coming out and maybe there they will show when they meet for the first time and have a real discussion about Anakin. That would be awesome!

Cad freaking Bane wow he looks so awesome in live action, of course Corey Burton brings the character to life with his iconic voice but honestly the physical actor (who I assume is most likely a stunt double) was surprisingly very accurate and faithful to how he was animated in both Clone Wars and Bad Batch, the actor both had to wear a bunch of layered clothing AND extensive prosthetics but was able to bring across just how ruthless and imposing Bane can be, the combination of that with Burton’s voice fully brings Cad to life and imo it worked practically perfectly
