Definitely a worth wild upgrade! Big thanks to Anthony for letting me use his shop to replace my covers!
Thanks for letting us make the video on your car 🙂
Thank you so much. I've been looking for valve covers like these and Amazon also has them in blue which is what I want. My wallet thanks you a bunch. 🎉🎉🎉
You are welcome!
Simple and informative review 🎉
Glad you liked it!
The video is OP!!! thanks !
Glad you like it!
Nice comparison. Perhaps if mine start leaking again I might consider it. Luckily I've had no issues with leaking spark plug tube seal. Lots of viewers state if the Tube Seal is leaking on a OEM, replaced the entire valve cover. Spending time trying to modify replacement seal is not worth the trouble.
I agree, either just buy another OE set or run these. These are far more durable than OE. I hate cracking fasteners on the top, I'm afraid the brass fittings will spin in the plastic if they seize.
I siliconed a leaker spark seal without taking cover off. Still holding good!
That's impressive!
i did the same a week ago, used The right Stuff RTV and siliconed all 6 spark plug tubes, seen it on youtube :) so far so good!

Can you explain or share what video you followed? I have to change out my valve covers and I might like to do that
@@ibanezrg320fm sure, just type: estebanb450 here on RUclips and you'll see his videos. I used 2 tubes around spark plugs, problem fixed.
@@borisstupar5147 you have a link to that video?
Definitely go back over the screws to make sure there tighten down good. I had a few that were loose.
Thanks for the tip!
Really wish they made aluminum covers for the HR, cant seem to find anything for it.
Ya doesn't seem to be much support for that engine in this regard.
Will you be able to change the tube seals on the Amazon version as well ?
Yes you will. It should show it in the description.
Do you still recommend these? Anything besides the screws I should be aware of? Would you recommend buying a different gasket? Anything?
Check the holes for the PCV system. People have reported poor castings and the hole is still sealed. Easy enough to drill out. We just use the provided gasket.
I bought eBay valve covers and used fel pro gaskets like 3 years ago started to leak now I’m Here trying to replace my 06 coupe with aluminum covers I’m leaning more toward the concept z ones the spark plug tube seals look like better quality and running oem valve cover gaskets within a few weeks any insight on which is better would be greatly appreciated
Can't go wrong with OEM gaskets. We also used gasket maker to "glue" the gasket in the corners of the valve cover to make installation easier.
I think a lot of failure will happen when you meanuver the valve cover in and the gasket get misaligned and you can't see it.
I would even let it sit over night and retorque again in the morning to see if it compressed.
Have you tried using an aftermarket aluminum oil cap on these? My Mitzone valve covers wont accept my Greddy oil caps. will, however accept the plastic OEM cap but not aftermarket.
Weird because you're using the same thread pitch. I have an aftermarket metal one I got on ebay.
I used red on all my screws lol they seem ok if they leak ill just get another set at that price
If it works for you all good!
Are you Able to powdercoat these cause i Emailed CZP and they said theu didnt test to see if they would withstand the heat
I plan to have my Concept Z versions powder coated some time in December. Follow up with me then or the new year. You can also follow my Instagram as there's more current updates on there of what I'm working on.
Do both have replaceable seals? What are the part numbers?
Yes they do
Isnt there a nissan model that has aluminum valve covers idk if its the trucks or the suvs
The older Pathfinder. It's too much work to try to make everything work.
Update on how it's holding up?
Been perfectly fine on both cars we did.
Are the pcv holes drilled all the way through?
Yes they are
I had a nice aluminum oil cap and it doesn't work on them
Really, because we were able to interchange the factory one with the new valve cover.
When ready to service the tube seals ..what are the best ones to get ?
I would just get the ones Concept Z has available on their site. Too new of a product to know if one brand is better than another.
Hey what's up man how's everything. I recently was told that I got about one year before the oil moisture issue near the gaskets becomes serious (just noticed it this past weekend) enough to warrant a repair. I saw your other how to video and there is no way in hell I am going to unscrew this if I screw it up. Anyway I was looking online and saw your videos do you have a link for the HR I could not see one from Mitzone.
Hi there, I don't think anyone makes an aluminum valve cover solution for the HR motor yet.
@@AnthonyJ350 ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ Thanks.
@@DragoMusivini Sorry, just a lot more VQs out there vs HR. I guess there isn't enough demand.
Z1 Motorsports has a nice bundle going. Going to get these things........
--Rocker Panel L&R VQHR in a bundle with the gasket kit for and lower plenum gasket
--PCV valve along with silicon hose kit
--Z1 Coil Pack and Ngk Plugs
--Billet Aluminum Oil and Radiator caps Z1
I would say that's good maintenance wouldn't you?
@@DragoMusivini Oh definitely, changing a lot of parts there
my mitzone covers cracked on the ridge where the oil cap screws in, should i be worried that metal fell into the car snd should o replace the valve cover?
I would replace the valve cover.
Do these fit the HR
No unfortunately they will not.
