Hi Erica, very curious at about the 9:28 mark in this video the digiboil temp shows 165 & you tell us it’s actually 195-ish, can you explain why? Wondering if digiboil is faulty, or temp higher as you use a neoprene jacket or something totally different?? Hope you’re able to reply. Thanks
I am wondering if you were pouring the fragrance oil into the prepared tins, and then pouring the wax and mixing it in the tins? I LOVE your videos, I’ve learned so much. I really appreciate you!
Thank you for this great video Erica! I am not finding the Etsy link for the double wick holder used in this video. Do you mind sharing the link? Thank you!!!
I’ve been looking for months for the cinder blocks you have your digiboil on. Are you able to give a link to where you got them? Everything I have found have holes in them
Great video. Thank you. I also use those same 8 oz tins to test fragrances. I use golden brands 415 soy wax. I also use the eco series wicks . What size would u recommend and do u think I should double wick? I haven't been. BTW, how cute is your little baby bump!! Awe. Thank you for all your help.
I personally double wick those containers but you have to be careful to not overwick! But I couldn’t find a single wick that worked for the life of me lol. I would try eco 1’s and see how they do. And thank you! ☺️☺️
Hi, if you dont mind me asking, do you ever use certain temps for adding fragrance or pouring at all? I see you stir for a short time and pour right into the tins.. I asked because Most ppl say add FO around 185, to stir for 2 minutes, pour around 130f.. When i do that i end up with no hot throw. I usually do around 10% in soy wax. Very faint. The way you do it seems like it would preserve fragrance from all the stirring.
We work pretty hot with our soy 10 wax, we heat the wax to about 195-200, pour FO in at 185-190, stir for 30 seconds and pour hot right after! Everyone has different preferences with temps but I have found this works best with soy 10!
You look amazing and soo happy, between upcoming baby and pouring a few candles it just looks like you’re on top of the world 🥰 p.s the Paloma & Butterscotch (especially butterscotch) my 2 favorites so far , to be honest I haven’t ordered anything with citronella because I was afraid of how it may burn , I’m excited to see what you think ❣️
Im hoping to finally start making testers for my candle journey. However, my scents are probably a little over a year old now(life got jn the way). It is all stored in a 65F basement away from light. Should i bother with trying them, or just scrap it all and buy new? I only just recently learned they have an expiration date.
Hmmm I feel like some oils would be okay and others might be expired, it would be hard to tell without looking at them. I have heard that if they are stored properly they can last over a year, but I think it just depends. How much and how many oils?
About 20 1oz, 4 4oz, and 4 16oz. I was pretty ambitious to start with, but took too long to get going. Got the materials sorted out well before i had a clear workspace for it all. Assuming they are okay and i crank out a bunch of testers next week, will the candles made from nearly expired FO also be at risk? (Im comparing this in head to nearly expired ground beef. Cook it and it lives on for another couple days.). Would that buy any time or would the candle scent be subject to expire regardless? Also...how would i know it's expired, nasty smell? Or is it more an issue with the adhesion to the wax?
Will the scent not affect the other scent if you just wipe it with tissue? I mean there are still residues there for sure. Like im scared it will always combine unless its washed 😞
Hi Erika! Your cute belly is starting to show! 😊😊😊 I hope little one is growing well. It's such an exciting time. Having done it nine times myself! ❤ Loved hearing about the new scents at Candle Science. A few I'll check out myself! I buy my Burbon Butterscotch from Midwest Fragrance! I love thos company! They are fast! Two days for me and I luve nowhere in Tennessee, lol!😂😂😂 You should really check them out. They do some signatures scents too. Which are unique. 😊
Oh wow, 9 times! That’s amazing!! And yes actually they reached out to me and wanted to send me some oils so I will be checking them out really soon, I’ve heard such good things!

My daughter and I enjoyed this video, but we can not find Part 2. Could you posted the link?
I'm finally going live this Fall, and I've been testing CS clean scents. The caramel apple smells so good cold and hot throw.. 😍
Caramel apple is wonderful 😍
Where did you buy the soy 10 wax...
If you can get your hands on lemongrass and Persian lime, it's the best sells so good for me
Where is that from?
@@MemoryBoxCandleCo over here is from artisan candle supplies & Eroma but they are in Perth Western Australia you might find it over your way maybe

I will definitely report back! ❤️
@@MemoryBoxCandleCo I’m sure I know you were kinda missing pouring 🥰
I have a question, so for testing you only do half?? How do you do the math for it or how do you know how much wax you need

I don’t ever worry about cross contaminating scents! It’s such a tiny tiny amount leftover! Sometimes I don’t even wipe in between scents 🫣
Hello from Switzerland. Testing fragrance in May? For Candlemakers, it should be Scents for Christmas. For me, the summer is gone 😀
Oh dang, it’s opposite for us! 😄
@@MemoryBoxCandleCo You misunderstood me: Here in Europe is summer, but as Candlemaker the mind is preparing for Christmas.
@@bennychristensen3405 oh yes! That’s very true!
What are reasons that people quit the candle business after starting
you look beautiful mama!

A Paloma is a grapefruit tequila drink maybe that’s what it was supposed to smell like
Yes I think so!
