Swap the type s rsx type s oil pump so you can rev high safetly.
You'll have a beast of a kseries motor 🤞🏽

you shouldnt pop the motor on purpose but swap it and throw this on a engine stand and take your time and do a fully built engine that can handle 700whp but boosted and tuned at 500whp and lets make a reliable high power build.

Got that racing channel to do my suggested build. And it’s an 02 rsx type s. They turbo the motor to 700whp and made it all wheel drive. Ran two or three track days and it still didn’t blow the stock motor. Now they got a built engine. These knseries take a hell of a beating. So built in a stand you’d have a dependable motor with that power and built to use it. Then upgrade transmission to take the beating

k24a2>RRC oil pump> literally EVERYTHING from k20z3 goes onto ->k24a2, everything. You won't regret it. keep redline no higher then 8.2k-8.3k RPM's. You'll be mind blown how much torque/hp you'll have more.

I think I Remember you saying you were using a cometic head gasket, they are trash re surface the head, make sure your block deck is flat, ARP head studs and use an oem head gasket that’ll fix your head gasket issue

Sleeve a K24, build the bottom end, type R cams and valvetrain and you got a reliable setup.

Why did you lower the compression ratio? A k20z3 is def a higher compression ratio engine out of the box than a k24 and make sure you get upgraded headstuds whether you stick with the k20 or k24
Z3 is 11.0-1 and i think 24 is 10.5-1 or lower even , id have to google it

just listening to the engine crank you can do a relitive compression test and hear a inbalance since when cranking you should hear a nice even crank rotations but when you cranked the engine you clearly hear a cylinder problem.im surprised compression was normal by the way it sounds

Well doing pulls with 1 bar of gas in the tank is a sure way to get fuel slosh & lean the motor out, keep at it & it’ll be blown in no time 😂
My gas gauge doesn’t read right due to E85 sitting in the fuel tank for a long period of time. I was actually running on a full tank of gas 💪🏾

get a life friend, the K24 are very similar to K20 but they have more displacement. They can rev the same and when it comes down to boost, more displacement in the same engine means more power. That´s why people with 4g63t opt for stroker kits.

The K 20a motor is the best motor Honda ever made period. The difference between a K24 and the TSX motor is the stroke, block and head.
The K 20 head is the highest flowing head Honda ever made. The piston size is the same in all three, different parents in compression. The stroke is longer in the 24 and longest in the TSX and such you need a longer cylinder different block. The K 20 is a 50/50 motor and can rev the highest it's torque developed higher in Rpm as to where Tax developed it at the lower RPM but it's horsepower drops of much earlier in RPMs.... You could use the analogy of the new Corvette motor Z06 it's a 5050 motor the highest revving v8 chevy ever made

I keep my revs and make torque, currently running a BorgWarner Turbo custom kit with a 2.2 K20A for sports / endurance racing. I get to rev up to 9.500, and listen to that turbo flutter.

@@Jmarzx listen bro any car can stay running if you put enough money in to it. But the vast majority of the infinities have been ragged HARD and that means LOTS of engine problems even from a VQ motor which is moderately reliable. If you can find one that's been owned by grandma who just uses it to get groceries down the street I would say go for it. But don't buy a 8 or 10 year old NIssan/Infinity expecting Toyota reliability. If I were you, I would wait patiently for the used car market to Crash and normalize and in the mean time just enjoy what you drive now and save that money and you'll be able to by a newer one that's slightly pre owned for the same price that the clapped out ones are selling for now.

@@jordangarneau3022 In some ways, sure. I/H/E nets a solid 20% gain in torque over stock+tuned under the same throttle conditions. WOT, 25-50whp gains across the curve. Close to a 30% increase in certain areas. That's serious power for a few 15-30 minute bolt-ons. The low/mid range gains are a lifesaver for city driving. Less bogging, less shifting, better mpg.
