There were a series of decision points that night. The last one we know of and have video evidence of, is when the police officer inquired about his condition. He could have asked the officer if he was going in the correct direction to get to his hotel, and likely changed the outcome of that night. The earlier decision points could have also likely changed the outcome.

I worked in a very busy downtown Seattle bar every weekend. Hard to babysit everyone but if we took your $$ then we also made sure if you got cut off or intoxicated, we got you a cab home. Yes to personal responsibility absolutely, but there’s common sense AND compassion that that person is in need of help to get home safely. Literally the Sound was in walking distance, no rails or fence and you never heard of “countless” bodies ending up there after a night out.
Bars and employees have a certain responsibility but so do customers!! One of the biggest problems of our society today is no one taking PERSONAL responsibility!!!

Riley was not escorted out the BACK DOOR , video from the bar shows he and one other frat boy went out the front door . Once outside the frat boy went back in leaving Riley alone . It took them 16 hours to report Riley missing .
I used to do event security in MO and we paid for our own certification through the MO Police Dept. I worked at several venues in MO and promoted some events here in TN. IMO, security should have been at all entrances/exits at ALL times. His friend should NOT have been let back in. In all the situations I have witnessed someone being put out of a venue, it was handled procedurally and professionally. Incident reports were taken and we worked with the police, who usually made final determinations of public intoxication and how the situation was handled.
And the "back" door is actually on the side of the building, with the front door being on the front corner on the same side of the building. Even if he had gone out the "back" door, the direction he went when he left the bar would have had him walking past the front door, so the whole claim of his friends losing track of him because he was tossed out the back door and they had to go out the front door, falls apart when you look at the layout of the building.
The difference between Riley and your small town is he walked to the bar from his hotel. So he probably thought he could walk back. It’s a good discussion to have though since a drunk person can easily get lost. That’s it’s better to uber them back to the hotel. Since I’m guessing they aRe using his card he used at the bar for the uber, they need to also have an automatic high tip percentage given because dealing w drunk people in downtown Nashville has got to be terrible.
Major chains, restaurants are starting to be more strict. No more than 4 alcohol drinks, no over served. No fights 🥊. Patrons should not get trashed. Adults over 35-40 should not be falling down drunk. It's not cute or funny. 🚫

The city does need to install more fencing and railings around the river and take out those stones from underneath the bridge. Anyone could trip under there and tumble over that short wooden fence and into the river. Riley is not the only person they have pulled out of that river. There are a lot of dangerous drop-offs around the river that people could fall and get hurt or lose their lives. *** There is a lot of foot traffic and bars in the area.

Pretty horrible thing to say. The only person responsible for Riley’s death was Riley. If a grown man can’t walk 4 blocks to a hotel because they drank too much, that’s on them.
Crack down on public intoxication. Better off to be in jail than dead. Too bad the DA is a wimp. Moral of the story. Don' drink to excess. You can't blame the bars. Even if Riley went back to the hotel nothing to stop him from going back out. The bars are not adult daycare.
What happened to Riley was totally avoidable. The bars need better training and people need to watch out after their friends - go as a group leave as a group. When they kicked Riley out - his friends should have left with him. So sorry for the family - they are suffering because of these stupid mistakes.
@@williamcowell1889 There's a theory circulating that he was following directions on his phone, since he was walking in the direction of a business that has a similar name to the name of his hotel. That is plausible, as in recent years I have encountered people who could not get anywhere if their phone could not tell them how to get there. If that was what happened, maybe he would have been more likely to admit his condition and more willing to ask for help or directions, if he wasn't depending on a phone ap to navigate for him.
I did event security in MO after the Guns 'n Roses riot at several venues. My experience with doing security was that you had to be certified through the MO Police Dept. and take yearly training. I have not been to a bar in years. Due to Riley's case, I can really see the difference state to state. Not only did I do pat down searches, but we worked with the police. In incidents where a person was removed for public intoxication, the person and whoever escorted the person was NOT allowed back in, because ALL entrance/exits were guarded. The police usually determined the persons state and incident reports were always made. I have a hard time seeing people say that bars aren't babysitters, but the permits/licenses that they were issued say otherwise. They can be held liable and there are state laws that determine that.
In my state, bartenders will always call an Uber or taxi if you’d had too much to drink. If for any reason you’re escorted out, your entire group is going too! In Riley’s case, his “friends” were at fault and there’s no two ways about it. They knew how intoxicated he was, they knew he was kicked out… but left him completely alone to navigate the unfamiliar streets! When you go to a bar in a group, drunk or not, you are all accountable for each other! There is no excuse for Riley’s death. My heart is broken for him.

Have you seen the dangerous drop-offs around the river? Anyone could have lost their balance and fell into the river, especially under the bridge where those stones are and that short wooden fence. That's most likely where Riley went into the river. *** The city needs to put up higher fencing or railings to prevent people from getting hurt or losing their life because there is a lot of foot traffic and bars near the river. Wow I completely agree. But where is our compassion. This is supposed to be a state full of Christians right before a big Christian holiday and we have no compassion on a young man who lost his life when we have no evidence on how he died. I didn't know Dakota but joined the search team the day his mother & gf, RutheAnne flew in. Our search team contacted The Bridge Building and asked them to check security footage. It was on their cameras. We also found his wallet, 100% intact that day. Dakota's phone last pinged on ground in a field on the east side of the river. There was no phone there. I believe his phone was on his person, but due to being in the water, it pings to solid ground. I called the tipline for Riley and referenced Dakota & the outcome.
The roadway under the bridge where Riley "disappeared " There is a "barrier " but anyone can access... it's apprx a 6' space on a decline. It's dirt, leaves , and slick. He had cowboy boots on which are slick. IMO, he stepped over there to either vomit or urinate, both have forward momentum. After that 6' of dirt/leaves ... it's approximately a 50' down to river. I 100% believe it was accidental.
Young people sometimes don't have common sense. It's part of being young and inexperienced. Riley wasn't 25 yet. His brain wasn't fully developed. The frontal lobe is what helps us think of the consequences of our actions. Empathy goes a long way too.

If Riley was served “one alcoholic beverage and two cups of water” at Luke’s bar how did he get so drunk? Over serving patrons alcohol should be illegal and bar owners should be liable for it. Yes, I know serving alcohol is how they make their money and how their staff gets paid, but it’s ridiculous to kick out a drunk person to fend for themselves. His frat “brothers” I think also played a part in Riley’s untimely accident. So sad and it could have been prevented.

Don't feel sorry for the bars. If it turns out the customer needs to pay, if they can't, the bar should pay or hold him there until the police can get them to their hotel.
The story tries to blend together totally different situations. Fighting with a bouncer (or a cop) is a losing battle. But situations such as Riley's case happen all night, every night across the globe. He was served only one drink when the staff became of his intoxicated behavior. He had a couple of waters and was likely not happy with being cut off and was escorted to the door. He wasn't crawling, and even the cop's body cam showed he was coherent and not out of control. So, is the bouncer supposed to detain him (and likely cause a fight) and stuff him into a cab? He had friends with him, and his hotel is a couple blocks away. These bars serve millions of tourists every year and how often has this happened? Context must be given to the always available 'solutions' suggested during the shock of a very isolated incident. Ditto the calls for (more) barriers along the river.
The autopsy is out with a convienient line of bull that he did not have any scratches from the fall from a STEEP EMBANKMENT into the Cumberland River. the videos are sketchy as Riley walked towards the bridge for sure. Frat bros did not call Riley a cab he most likely was given wrong directions back to the hotel. He was kicked out of a bar without the group he arrived with then they did not go out and search for Riley until making a call at 1 pm the following day--sketchy behavoir

We're talking about safety here. It all starts with the bars. They serve the alcohol. They have a responsibility to their patrons to keep them safe. You don't throw a drink college kid out on the street to fend for himself, especially with at dangerous river dropoff nearby. You don't get to just grab all the cash with no accountability. If they're going to ask someone to leave, they should make sure they leave with who they came with or call them a cab. College kids, tourists unfamiliar with the area, a deadly river, a dark treacherous drop off. A million reasons why they need to make things safer in downtown Nashville.

If he was drunk before he went to Lukes 32 bar he should not have been served one drink. Should not have been kicked out without arranging a way to get back to the hotel safely. Riley was from out of town and didn't k ow how to get back to the hotel safely. He went the wrong way and ended up falling down the bank into the river. The walkway that Riley was walking on had no lighting and no fencing. Since this happened Nashville has decided to put up a fence. I wonder how many people have fallen down the side into the river. Nashville could be sued over this which they need to be.

The bar most likely had his card if he was thrown out w/o paying the tab. It was reported his friend had to go back inside the bar to close out the tab, he may of paid cash ?
TABC needs better enforcement. They had problems recently. Nashville TN has many problems with fake security officers, no certifications. The city & PD can add IRIS cameras, Shot Spotter.

A homeless advocacy group was complaining about the Nashville police violating the privacy of the homeless people by observing the area around their camp along the riverbank in downtown Nashville, a year or two ago. At least some members of the Nashville council have publicly stated agreement with the advocacy group on the issue of the privacy of the homeless people living on public property, and there are still homeless camps along the riverbank in that area. Some years ago, the Nashville police were apparently told to stay away (no patrols) from a public park along the riverbank farther down the river. That park is fairly heavily wooded, and by the time conditions near the park had deteriorated enough that local politicians admitted that police had to start patrolling the area again, a drug dealer with outstanding warrants had managed to build a small cabin inside the park. With the drug dealer living inside the homeless camp, and a charity sending a truck by the entrance of the park to hand out free needles, the residents of the camp in that park had convenient access to the drugs that resulted in what seems like a large number of calls for Fire/EMS to respond to overdoses, but the city apparently won't release data related to those calls. That is how bad things had to get, in recent years, before the city government would allow police to increase their presence in a public park to only two officers walking through the park each day.
I have gone with family during the day seen women so drunk, even one go off with a stranger. Skirts lifted, exposing them and all kinds of stuff. I’ve never been at night but can only imagine how much things escalate. I think for Riley’s situation more security at least at near the danger point of the Cumberland. Curious as to how many bars have Riley on camera being served vs only the “last charge was one drink and two waters”. This deserves a deeper dive. Just curious. Tragic for Riley, but if something changes it could give the family some solace. Prayers to the family and RIP Riley.
They serve alcohol. Just like they can get in trouble for over-serving someone, they are accountable for not throwing drunk people out on their own. Make his friends leave with him, call him an Uber. You don't just get to take in all the money and wash your hands.
I see women and girls murdered callously by men every day in the news, and I never see a response from the community like this. Why is it that our lives are treated with such little regard and these young men get all the attention?
I don't think you watch the news that much, there were women who were murdered or died due to mistakes that also got media attentions for a while. The Idaho Four, Laken Riley, Gabby Petito, Mitchell Dang, Nancy Ng, Madeline Kingsbury, etc.
Missing women and children also have local and other search teams looking for them or family, friends, and neighbours calling police to do a wellness check. A missing person makes the local news and people volunteer to look for them as in the case of Riley. I live in Scotland, and even I know this.
The bars they could most likely use a refresher as ti treat patrons with compassion, if customer is intoxicated, call a cab. It us my belief that bar informed local police they kicked our a patron who would be on foot and intoxicated, he may have been followed. Its a sick world out there. He was targeted. The bar will hold onto your CC if you are kicked out and wait for you to call and pick it up if you leave without signing your tab. The whole story is very disturbing.

Bars need to go back to the old way of doing things. Which was the security and bartenders were well trained in safety, knew how to take car keys away from patrons, call them a cab/uber, and call police of need be.

To Rileys family and other families the city of Nashville needs to be sued. The area down by the river along the sidewalk down by the river needed to have a fence up and lighting. The bar keeps your credit card until you pay the tab they served an obviously intoxicated young man then sent him into the streets w/o calling an uber or cab. More training is a terrific idea. But that doesnt stop a sicko from putting a mickey in your drink. They are saying no foul play bc they expect the story will go away so it does not negatively affect tourism

worked in that area from 1976, the security guard/bouncers are not the problem makers in 99% of cases. It's the people who get drunk then get out of control both verbally and physically that create problems. You cant reason with these people. No amount of sitting in a classroom will stop people from getting intoxicated and/or falling into a body of water. All of these instances were caused by the patrons who became violent.
They have no mercy because they are completely judgmental and holier than thou as if they'd never made a bad decision I'm their lives. College kids drink, they over indulge because they are young. Just because Riley made a mistake he shouldn't have had to pay for it with his life. If safety measures were taken by the bars, the city and the police, Riley would still be here today. Everyone in this has accountability and needs to do better for public safety, especially when your town makes enormous amounts of money off of tourists and college kids getting drunk. Riley’s death is one in 6 billion . A perfect set of circumstances occurred that tragic night . The hotel he stayed in had the same name as another business there , so google maps took him wrong way . Had he entered the right info , he would have been at the hotel in 5 minutes . Had he asked the cop for directions he would have reached safe too but he was too chicken to talk to a cop . Had he chose a different spot to climb over the railing , he might not of tripped and rolled into the riverbank. Hell even if he stopped to pick up a penny on the ground , his whole fate would of been different t
To think certain laws are there to protect the nightclubs but doesn't help the victims. In those two situations. Both them boys look alike. Same style of look. If bouncers threw out Riley and they didn't ask him questions, one if he had a ride home or made him call someone sober. Because all the frat brothers were white boy wasted. It looks like the bar knew Riley was there with 50 frat brothers. They are some accounts of observation that a frat brother ot two was with Riley heading out the BACK DOOR but, he turned around and claims he had to close his tab, yet now there are other claims that they paid for each serving of liquor , which means no open bar tab on a credit card. Something went wrong with the frat brothers with Riley. I think they did a prank, and it went too far. I think they are too afraid to admit the truth of that night. I'm not saying it was done on purpose, but we all know that frat brothers do sketchy things to each other. I'm not saying any of the fraternity guys are guilty. It's just for me that the timelines don't match up, and the 911 call is sketchy in itself. They the fraternity guys, or some of them had been looking for Riley for hours before they decided to call the cops and call his family. If one of them as a guilty conscience, he should face the music. Just a thought.

Nothing but open sidewalk between the two doors and given the direction he went when he left the bar, Riley would have walked past the front door, if he had left through the "BACK" door. After the bar turned their security video over to authorities, they released a statement indicating that Riley had left through the front door. The story circulating on his being tossed out had already changed, once or twice, by the time the bar released their statement. There's also the issue of that street being closed at times, to prevent tourists being hit by cars as they go from bar to bar. If that Friday night was one of the times that the street was closed, Riley would have had to agree to a pickup point that the cab or Uber could get to, then find his way to that pickup point. There are a lot of local details that people are missing.

We have a club or bar like that, and they are times the roads are closed for the events of that night to be safer from cars. I didn't know he had left from the front door. Now I can see how he was able to run in the parking lot before he had a bad fall. I wonder if in his body they find some finger prints or something if something happened to him with a Stanger or a frat brother. Thanks for that outline of the bar and other details. After he was found in the river, it just doesn't feel right. Like something like that can happen to him. What do you think of the body cam from the cop? Riley was gone from the sidewalk in 20 seconds. I thought he jumped into a car. But some eye-witnesses say to other things and that he was with someone on a railing by the water. The 911 call with the frat brother sounds a bit off and I feel I hear some clues that he knew Riley was by the water.. he says buuut..about RileyS cell phone. I also mapped the direction from Missouri to Nashville, and it looks like the same direction path from the bar scene to the river where Riley was last seen. Yes I worked in a very busy bar every weekend in my 20s. Hard to babysit everyone but if we took your $$ then we also made sure if you got cut off or intoxicated, we got you a cab home.
Yes to personal responsibility absolutely, but there’s common sense AND compassion that that person is in need of help to get home safely. Literally the Sound was in walking distance, no rails or fence and you never heard of “countless” bodies ending up there after a night out.

The city does need to install more fencing and railings around the river and take out those stones from underneath the bridge. Anyone could trip under there and tumble over that short wooden fence and into the river.
Riley is not the only person they have pulled out of that river.
There are a lot of dangerous drop-offs around the river that people could fall and get hurt or lose their lives.

Pretty horrible thing to say. The only person responsible for Riley’s death was Riley. If a grown man can’t walk 4 blocks to a hotel because they drank too much, that’s on them.
Crack down on public intoxication. Better off to be in jail than dead. Too bad the DA is a wimp. Moral of the story. Don' drink to excess. You can't blame the bars. Even if Riley went back to the hotel nothing to stop him from going back out. The bars are not adult daycare.
What happened to Riley was totally avoidable. The bars need better training and people need to watch out after their friends - go as a group leave as a group. When they kicked Riley out - his friends should have left with him. So sorry for the family - they are suffering because of these stupid mistakes.

@@williamcowell1889 There's a theory circulating that he was following directions on his phone, since he was walking in the direction of a business that has a similar name to the name of his hotel. That is plausible, as in recent years I have encountered people who could not get anywhere if their phone could not tell them how to get there. If that was what happened, maybe he would have been more likely to admit his condition and more willing to ask for help or directions, if he wasn't depending on a phone ap to navigate for him.
Call a cab. Don't just cover the bars' legal responsibility.
They put you out because you're to intoxicated the people you went there with has to go too at least one person.
I did event security in MO after the Guns 'n Roses riot at several venues. My experience with doing security was that you had to be certified through the MO Police Dept. and take yearly training. I have not been to a bar in years. Due to Riley's case, I can really see the difference state to state. Not only did I do pat down searches, but we worked with the police.
In incidents where a person was removed for public intoxication, the person and whoever escorted the person was NOT allowed back in, because ALL entrance/exits were guarded. The police usually determined the persons state and incident reports were always made. I have a hard time seeing people say that bars aren't babysitters, but the permits/licenses that they were issued say otherwise. They can be held liable and there are state laws that determine that.
In my state, bartenders will always call an Uber or taxi if you’d had too much to drink. If for any reason you’re escorted out, your entire group is going too! In Riley’s case, his “friends” were at fault and there’s no two ways about it. They knew how intoxicated he was, they knew he was kicked out… but left him completely alone to navigate the unfamiliar streets! When you go to a bar in a group, drunk or not, you are all accountable for each other! There is no excuse for Riley’s death. My heart is broken for him.

Anyone could have lost their balance and fell into the river, especially under the bridge where those stones are and that short wooden fence. That's most likely where Riley went into the river.

A lot of young people go out drinking for spring break, but they have fun, and then they go home 🏡. It's sad that not one person in his group could at least call for an Uber to make sure that Riley returned to the hotel safely, especially since he was intoxicated and he was in an unfamiliar place at night 🌙.

This is supposed to be a state full of Christians right before a big Christian holiday and we have no compassion on a young man who lost his life when we have no evidence on how he died. Why did everyone forget about Dakota? 27 year old, he drowned in 2021 just like Riley did.

I didn't know Dakota but joined the search team the day his mother & gf, RutheAnne flew in.
Our search team contacted The Bridge Building and asked them to check security footage. It was on their cameras.
We also found his wallet, 100% intact that day.
Dakota's phone last pinged on ground in a field on the east side of the river. There was no phone there.
I believe his phone was on his person, but due to being in the water, it pings to solid ground.
I called the tipline for Riley and referenced Dakota & the outcome.
Dakota went into the river on his own accord. A wave knocked him down and he never resurfaced on the footage from The Bridge Building.

There is a "barrier " but anyone can access... it's apprx a 6' space on a decline. It's dirt, leaves , and slick. He had cowboy boots on which are slick.
IMO, he stepped over there to either vomit or urinate, both have forward momentum.

Young people sometimes don't have common sense. It's part of being young and inexperienced. Riley wasn't 25 yet. His brain wasn't fully developed. The frontal lobe is what helps us think of the consequences of our actions.

If Riley was served “one alcoholic beverage and two cups of water” at Luke’s bar how did he get so drunk? Over serving patrons alcohol should be illegal and bar owners should be liable for it. Yes, I know serving alcohol is how they make their money and how their staff gets paid, but it’s ridiculous to kick out a drunk person to fend for themselves. His frat “brothers” I think also played a part in Riley’s untimely accident. So sad and it could have been prevented.

@@donjulio4025Who pays is not the point. Safety and responsibility are. Even if those bars did have to pay, I'm sure they'd rather do that than be sued. They take in plenty of cash. Don't feel sorry for the bars. If it turns out the customer needs to pay, if they can't, the bar should pay or hold him there until the police can get them to their hotel.
The story tries to blend together totally different situations. Fighting with a bouncer (or a cop) is a losing battle. But situations such as Riley's case happen all night, every night across the globe. He was served only one drink when the staff became of his intoxicated behavior. He had a couple of waters and was likely not happy with being cut off and was escorted to the door. He wasn't crawling, and even the cop's body cam showed he was coherent and not out of control.
So, is the bouncer supposed to detain him (and likely cause a fight) and stuff him into a cab? He had friends with him, and his hotel is a couple blocks away. These bars serve millions of tourists every year and how often has this happened? Context must be given to the always available 'solutions' suggested during the shock of a very isolated incident. Ditto the calls for (more) barriers along the river.

The autopsy is out with a convienient line of bull that he did not have any scratches from the fall from a STEEP EMBANKMENT into the Cumberland River. the videos are sketchy as Riley walked towards the bridge for sure. Frat bros did not call Riley a cab he most likely was given wrong directions back to the hotel. He was kicked out of a bar without the group he arrived with then they did not go out and search for Riley until making a call at 1 pm the following day--sketchy behavoir

We're talking about safety here. It all starts with the bars. They serve the alcohol. They have a responsibility to their patrons to keep them safe. You don't throw a drink college kid out on the street to fend for himself, especially with at dangerous river dropoff nearby. You don't get to just grab all the cash with no accountability. If they're going to ask someone to leave, they should make sure they leave with who they came with or call them a cab. College kids, tourists unfamiliar with the area, a deadly river, a dark treacherous drop off. A million reasons why they need to make things safer in downtown Nashville.

Yes he was drunk. If he was drunk before he went to Lukes 32 bar he should not have been served one drink. Should not have been kicked out without arranging a way to get back to the hotel safely. Riley was from out of town and didn't k ow how to get back to the hotel safely. He went the wrong way and ended up falling down the bank into the river. The walkway that Riley was walking on had no lighting and no fencing. Since this happened Nashville has decided to put up a fence. I wonder how many people have fallen down the side into the river. Nashville could be sued over this which they need to be.

The bar most likely had his card if he was thrown out w/o paying the tab. It was reported his friend had to go back inside the bar to close out the tab, he may of paid cash ?
TABC needs better enforcement. They had problems recently. Nashville TN has many problems with fake security officers, no certifications. The city & PD can add IRIS cameras, Shot Spotter.

A homeless advocacy group was complaining about the Nashville police violating the privacy of the homeless people by observing the area around their camp along the riverbank in downtown Nashville, a year or two ago. At least some members of the Nashville council have publicly stated agreement with the advocacy group on the issue of the privacy of the homeless people living on public property, and there are still homeless camps along the riverbank in that area.
Some years ago, the Nashville police were apparently told to stay away (no patrols) from a public park along the riverbank farther down the river. That park is fairly heavily wooded, and by the time conditions near the park had deteriorated enough that local politicians admitted that police had to start patrolling the area again, a drug dealer with outstanding warrants had managed to build a small cabin inside the park. With the drug dealer living inside the homeless camp, and a charity sending a truck by the entrance of the park to hand out free needles, the residents of the camp in that park had convenient access to the drugs that resulted in what seems like a large number of calls for Fire/EMS to respond to overdoses, but the city apparently won't release data related to those calls.
That is how bad things had to get, in recent years, before the city government would allow police to increase their presence in a public park to only two officers walking through the park each day.
I have gone with family during the day seen women so drunk, even one go off with a stranger. Skirts lifted, exposing them and all kinds of stuff. I’ve never been at night but can only imagine how much things escalate.
I think for Riley’s situation more security at least at near the danger point of the Cumberland.
Curious as to how many bars have Riley on camera being served vs only the “last charge was one drink and two waters”. This deserves a deeper dive. Just curious. Tragic for Riley, but if something changes it could give the family some solace. Prayers to the family and RIP Riley.

I don't think you watch the news that much, there were women who were murdered or died due to mistakes that also got media attentions for a while. The Idaho Four, Laken Riley, Gabby Petito, Mitchell Dang, Nancy Ng, Madeline Kingsbury, etc.
Missing women and children also have local and other search teams looking for them or family, friends, and neighbours calling police to do a wellness check.
A missing person makes the local news and people volunteer to look for them as in the case of Riley. I live in Scotland, and even I know this.
The bars they could most likely use a refresher as ti treat patrons with compassion, if customer is intoxicated, call a cab. It us my belief that bar informed local police they kicked our a patron who would be on foot and intoxicated, he may have been followed. Its a sick world out there. He was targeted. The bar will hold onto your CC if you are kicked out and wait for you to call and pick it up if you leave without signing your tab. The whole story is very disturbing.

If Riley was intoxicated before he ended up at Lukes 32 he should not have been served at all at Lukes. The bar needs to be fined and held responsible for Rileys death. To Rileys family and other families the city of Nashville needs to be sued. The area down by the river along the sidewalk down by the river needed to have a fence up and lighting. Such a dangerous drop off. Investigation needs to happen to see how many people have died or gotten injured by falli g into the river. The bar keeps your credit card until you pay the tab they served an obviously intoxicated young man then sent him into the streets w/o calling an uber or cab. More training is a terrific idea. worked in that area from 1976, the security guard/bouncers are not the problem makers in 99% of cases. It's the people who get drunk then get out of control both verbally and physically that create problems. You cant reason with these people. No amount of sitting in a classroom will stop people from getting intoxicated and/or falling into a body of water. All of these instances were caused by the patrons who became violent.

Riley’s death is one in 6 billion . A perfect set of circumstances occurred that tragic night . The hotel he stayed in had the same name as another business there , so google maps took him wrong way . Had he entered the right info , he would have been at the hotel in 5 minutes . Had he asked the cop for directions he would have reached safe too but he was too chicken to talk to a cop . Had he chose a different spot to climb over the railing , he might not of tripped and rolled into the riverbank. Hell even if he stopped to pick up a penny on the ground , his whole fate would of been different t

It looks like the bar knew Riley was there with 50 frat brothers. They are some accounts of observation that a frat brother ot two was with Riley heading out the BACK DOOR but, he turned around and claims he had to close his tab, yet now there are other claims that they paid for each serving of liquor , which means no open bar tab on a credit card.
Something went wrong with the frat brothers with Riley. I think they did a prank, and it went too far. I think they are too afraid to admit the truth of that night. I'm not saying it was done on purpose, but we all know that frat brothers do sketchy things to each other.
I'm not saying any of the fraternity guys are guilty.
It's just for me that the timelines don't match up, and the 911 call is sketchy in itself.
They the fraternity guys, or some of them had been looking for Riley for hours before they decided to call the cops and call his family.
If one of them as a guilty conscience, he should face the music. Just a thought.

In The 911 call, there are several moments in it that it sounds like the fraternity is hiding something.
The "BACK" door is actually on the side of the building, with the front door being on the front corner on the same side of the building as the "BACK" door. Nothing but open sidewalk between the two doors and given the direction he went when he left the bar, Riley would have walked past the front door, if he had left through the "BACK" door. After the bar turned their security video over to authorities, they released a statement indicating that Riley had left through the front door. The story circulating on his being tossed out had already changed, once or twice, by the time the bar released their statement.
There's also the issue of that street being closed at times, to prevent tourists being hit by cars as they go from bar to bar. If that Friday night was one of the times that the street was closed, Riley would have had to agree to a pickup point that the cab or Uber could get to, then find his way to that pickup point.
There are a lot of local details that people are missing.

We have a club or bar like that, and they are times the roads are closed for the events of that night to be safer from cars.
I didn't know he had left from the front door.
Now I can see how he was able to run in the parking lot before he had a bad fall.
I wonder if in his body they find some finger prints or something if something happened to him with a Stanger or a frat brother.

Riley was gone from the sidewalk in 20 seconds.
I thought he jumped into a car. But some eye-witnesses say to other things and that he was with someone on a railing by the water.
The 911 call with the frat brother sounds a bit off and I feel I hear some clues that he knew Riley was by the water.. he says buuut..about RileyS cell phone.
I also mapped the direction from Missouri to Nashville, and it looks like the same direction path from the bar scene to the river where Riley was last seen. It might sound like a stretch, but I saw thar as a clue in a weird way.

Nothing needs to be done expect maybe put up some guardrails along that river. Bars serve liquor. Kids aren’t allowed to drink liquor. Therefore bars aren’t daycares. Stop trying to make them into daycares. Adults are responsible for themselves.
